I just washed my BD for the first time for me, he is a re-homed dog.. He had been bad this morning and rolled. I gave him a quick pre-wash on the back step with warm water and brought him in to wash in the tub. He was very good, I did most of him with no collar or leash. He was very cooperative and really enjoyed the toweling off, which I already knew as he likes walks in the rain. . After he was mostly dry he let be me remove mats under his collar and harness area. I think he slept most of the time when doing the top of his neck and back. Such a good dog. He has treated this experience like he has done everything else I have done with him as old hat, he has been there before. He really is an old soul. A very balanced and calm dog at 15 months.
this is awesome, im getting a Bernedoodle in two months and Im a hairstylist and this is super helpful and good to know!! I will def be grooming at home! thanks!!!
You have a beautiful dog. I am getting a newfypoo april 17th and I am planning on grooming my dog as well. This video was very helpful. What age was your dog when you started to groom him? How long does one grooming session last?
See link for grooming supplies! I groom him every 6-8 weeks. When he has short hair I brush at least once a week, now it’s long (we are growing it out for the winter) so I brush every 2-3 days
I am looking for a bernedoodle puppy too ( F1 or F1B) . Any recommendations in WA for breeders ? Also, This view looks very familiar . Looks like Seattle . I had a similar view from my apartment too.
Im a professional groomer, you are giving out false information about grooming, kind of like a back yard hairdresser, STOP, yes your dog is wonderful but almost every thing you are suggesting is incorrect including how to use scissors ! and there is no reason to use a 30 on a Bernadoodle ! Your pulling at his coat and your tips are wrong, stick to your lane what ever it is its not dog grooming!
please refer to the disclaimer in the description of the video. Of note, a professional groomer instructed me to use a 30 blade under the guards. Open to helpful feedback from professional groomers, would love to learn how to put hair extensions on dogs!
