Hi, I'm sorry you're having issues with the b38. How long have you had it? If it's fairly new your dealer should be able to take care of it no problem and should be under warranty. Typically looping underneath your project usually is a tension issue mostly with the top thread tension. Also I would take off the stitchplate and take out the bobbin case to make sure it's clean and nothing going on down there. Just make sure it gets put back properly because that can cause another set of issues. However most bernina/bernette dealers are really good about taking care of their customers, they should be able to help you out. I'd hate to see you sell it, they are such good little machines.

Hi, I’m here again, sorry about that. Having packed the machine up again and got my old Bernina 530-3 record out again to continue sewing the project, I had another look ay videos as well as rereading the instructions again. After finding the information finally on a video, I realised that the dial on the top was on 6! Not surprised that the thread was so tight. Anyway, thank you for your kind help. It’s all sorted and the machine saw the light of day again and is sitting in front of me. I’m now starting my “Queens” quilt. ERll. My first ever quilt. Thank you again.

​@@sdcgren6301. I'm really glad to hear your solution. I also just bought. Oh, ah, it's a very nice little machine. As long as used- not beyond its limits. The newer machines, looks like certain operations are being discontinued. Access to hand - presser foot lever Foot, thread tensions. This machine is in between a little of both Manuel - computer. Then I saw some vids on Deco stitch embellishment - fabulous- the imagination. This machine, as long as I don't burn up the motor, no super heavy fabrics.... This little machine I do recommend For beginners, light - med sewers. I have a sailrite - lSZ-1, for the heavier projects. Glad thread issue is resolved. 🙋 🤺💐
