A bit late, God canceled that 40 years ago (John Wayne passed away in 1979) I'm just waiting to see the "Cancel George Carlin" movement to start, Carlin died in 2008 and what he was saying on stage in the 1970s was controversial over the top SH-- back then!

I respect Dave more than any other comedian today because he'll say what others in the comedy circle are afraid to today. Bernie did this stand up routine 20 years ago, Dave was doing it back during that time also and he has not changed.
This one is one of my most favorite of all time. Bernie was one of the best comedians to ever live. Idgaf what your opposing opinion is. One thing I love the most that makes this so damn gut-busting to me, is the way Mr. Mac spoke and that serious ass expression on his face. I can't make it more clear than that. The way he spoke, how he sounded, and all the looks on his face would just seal the deal for me, and have me on the floor gasping for air. Not even including the actual subject material itself! The attitude he used for his stand up is based off of his grandmother who practically raised him. She was a very stern woman and very strict. The story about his sisters children did actually happen. He took in his cousin and her kid and learned she had a few more. Bernie changed to his sister instead. The Kings of Comedy tour is when Bernie's career really took off for him since he was already middle aged at this point. The other standup of his I would recommend is his Def Jam standup where he tells the crowd: "I ain't scared of you muthuh---" That routine stemmed from two other comedians being booed off the stage and how incredible savage the audience was. Awesome reaction video.

The show is actually based off this set. If you ever watch the full Kings of Comedy movie it's Bernie, D.L. Hughley, Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey... and the other 3 all had their shows on TV at the time. "The Hughleys" and "The Steve Harvey Show" with Steve and Ced. Bernie jokes about how he was to real for tv and he didn't have a show because "they" tv execs were scared of him. He then jokes that he'll take anything "UPN, USA, Cooking Channel" just a year later Fox debuted "The Bernie Mac Show" which obviously was based on this set.

Bernie Mac my sister's kids, got to be one of the greatest comedy sketches of all time, next to Robert Paris Bay Bay Kids ,George Carlin the seven words you can't say, Richard Pryor the Leon Spinks story with him get caught with $2.50 worth of cocaine, is definitely one of the greatest comedy story of all time.

Another comedy legend is Richard Pryor. He may have been a prophet. Not exactly great in other aspects but he was seriously broken. Also I actually told my boss once I wasn’t working until after the show because Frankie Beverly and Maze! Or was it Charlie Wilson?
