We've spent a ton of time (2 years) working on this project. I am proud of what we were able to create with just Stephen and I on the road for 48 hours. This is more than just a video, it's a documentary. If you can watch this on a TV, I highly recommend you do. Thank you all for your support!!! And thank you to Stephen for being able to take all this footage and make it into what you see here.

@@danielpalma9339 Thanks for your question. The reason is, we are a small team and had to focus on keeping the RU-vid content coming. Documentaries take a ton of time as there's days worth of raw footage that needs to be cut together. Not to mention we really had just one angle to work with, Stephens. Most shoots would have at least two or three. But yes, we aimed for less time, but it kept getting pushed.

Takes a good amount to story board out a doc, sound design, plus permissions etc etc. Have to remember Jared’s crew is small and they are putting out content like crazy.

A lot of people like to say they're professionals because they upload all the pictures to Instagram and you can tell the difference between someone who knows what they're doing for a living and someone who says they do Instagram for a living big difference
@RayValdezPhotography
@RayValdezPhotography 2 года назад
@@thetreverpitts the only way to tell is if they are on the field of if they are always doing videos from a room. Real world shooters usually address issues while studio youtubians just read off specs.

@chrisw8725 2 года назад
I agreed, RU-vid is now full of people repeating the same info. You see very little of their actual work product besides instagrammy photos. This was type of content was refreshing.
@thetreverpitts
@thetreverpitts 2 года назад
@@RayValdezPhotography that is correct a lot of people will just buy a camera and read the specs or they'll show an image of the camera and say it is 50 megapixels it's this or that. But they'll never show images or get out of their little Studio office and go film a real professional. Shoots on professional camera equipment and gets paid for it. A non-professional might be somebody who takes pictures on a iPhone and just uploads them to Facebook or Instagram and never makes any money from it. I'm not saying you can't be a professional and shoot video or photos from my iPhone but again you have to invest in the best gear you can and get paid gigs

This is what photography is all about for me. It’s about capturing a moment in time that will never happen again. Taking photos of landmarks and landscapes and all is great, and can be great, but for me it’s about capturing emotion. It’s about capturing people and events in that moment and documenting it. Like you said, it’s about finding the story that nobody will see.

Jared, first I want to say what a phenomenal photographer you are, and say thank you for all your videos/guides. I’ve learned a whole lot from just watching your videos. That being said, I am not a Bernie supporter, but that matters not to me. I’m not here for the politics. I’m here for your insight, and talent, and to hopefully glean a little bit of knowledge by watching you shoot and edit. We, as a society, have lost so much kindness. Just because someone has a political leaning you don’t agree with doesn’t mean that someone is without worth. I am proud to say I will continue to watch your videos, and buy your t-shirts, and buy your fro-packs. God bless you, and keep up the phenomenal work. By the way, I’m 21 minutes into this video and am really enjoying it, not as a conservative, but as a photographer who wants to be a better photographer and, hopefully, bring joy to someone else with my photos.

Like some one has said already “I had no intention on spending 50min…” you should try and put this in documentary film festivals. I always get hooked up when people talk about feelings that each of us, probably, feel and also giving so much insights of many other “little things” that makes all the difference. Awesome! Thanks for this! Could also make up for a “making off”, where you could talk about what equipments and how you two were using in this two days, how you got some of the takes, how you were dealing with battery recharges, data transfers… what went wrong when it did, how you worked it out…

Such a well done documentary, Jared. The thing I love about it is that, you didn't make it about politics. He's a politician, yes. But it was about the story of the moments of campaigning. Its not about policy positions or one side verses another. Its about people, the feelings and emotions, and the moments in time. Its about what you were thinking through these few days, what goes on in the mind of a photographer, as someone behind the scenes. This documentary is a tad bittersweet, I might add, since boy oh boy do I ever wish that Bernie had won. He will still always be my choice, a true Man of the People. He cannot be bought, he only cares about PEOPLE. Again, thank you for this, Jared.

This documentary that Stephen and you created, really brings in the details of what it takes to do the job you've been hired to do. It's a remind to myself that I need to keep thinking of the story that I'm looking to tell with my imagery. Whether I'm surrounded thousands each taking a hundred shots each, or it's just me in a room with my subject. Find the story, get the shots, continue the story, plan the move to the next chapter, close the story. You sir have re-inspired my sleeping mind and it's about to get busy in the lens again.
