Actually Bernie said the same thing to congress after the USSR fell and they started to raise the military budget. The US didn't have a big bad enemy anymore so the rise in spending wasn't necessary and could have been directed elsewhere, not into the military industrial complex of disappearing money.

Nyxboi What I don’t understand is how is the military silent about a socialist president possibly in the future? I mean forget about Democrat leaders, forgetting about the average liberal citizen. Socialism conflicts with our constitution, which is based on our democratic republic as we were founded. So as those on the left wish to do away with our republic by stripping our constitution, the idea our military leaders have sworn to uphold, why are they silent? If the left goes too far, destroys this county and the ideas it was founded and built upon, then by all rights it is the duty of police, military and their leaders to over throw the government, put down martial law to make sure the liberals stay in line, and put in place someone in power who will not push the socialist agenda. Though this could have negative consequences, such as a military leader take over, but even so to me this could possibly happen. As a majority of Democrat leaders will be found guilty of treason and processed in an orderly fashion. On top of that, citizens on the right would most likely form a well armed militia to assist the military in maintaining the left. And with such a show of force, hopefully it’d avoid any bloodshed. I guess time will tell. I don’t wish for any of the above, but it’s just a thought. But it’s strange to see how this country is changing.

I was getting over $600 deducted from my paycheck every two weeks to cover my husband, myself, and my son just for health insurance. At this point, you constantly ask yourself if it's even worth paying such high premiums when the deductible is still high and you're still having to pay copayments.

All I ever spend on healthcare is €120 per month and I only have to pay an annual €385 deductable for the things that aren't entirely covered by my insurance like certain medicine or a dentist.

I tried explaining to a co-worker that I voted for Trump, I'm a registered democrat, but actually a libertarian. She was raised in Iran so she doesn't get it. I'm a libertarian first and foremost. I don't understand why drugs and prostitution are illegal. I voted for Trump(and Obama) because there was no way I could vote for Hillary. Trump has done a good job so far, honestly. And I'm a registered democrat in order to vote in the primaries, to help avoid what happened to Bernie in 2016. I sleep well when I know that party X has the house, and party Y has the senate. I want government to cockblock itself every chance it gets. I want government to do... nothing. Government is not very good at fixing problems. They are experts at creating problems.

I am so very sorry, nothing is more evil than healthcare for profit and allowing people to suffer without adequate care in the richest country on earth...every other developed nation has universal healthcare

they lowered the medicaid monthly income alllowed to qualify , you literally need to be destitute in order to get healthcare

they need to LOWER cost so everyone can afford it better...no one mentions that though
