It’s not an endorsement of her, but a statement of his fear of Trump; if Reagan was running against Trump, he would fight for Reagan to defeat Trump but that doesn’t mean he agrees with Reagan. I’m personally not a fan of voting out of fear, but I understand those that do and the terror that drives them.

I am about to turn 75. I am not in debt. However, I cannot afford to go to the dentist or to an eye doctor, or to have my hearing checked and a hearing aid prescribed. Almost everyone I know near this age is struggling to pay for the help they need for these common problems of people at this stage of life. Thank you, Bernie Sanders, for caring about this nation's elders.

My mother, a US citizen, who was born and raised in the US, worked as a postal employee all her life, died in a US hospital, waiting for a simple procedure (4 days for an endoscopy). So, don't tell me that in US healthcare, people don’t have to wait. Healthcare is the second biggest joke in the US.

In Ireland, every long-term illness medicine is paid for by the State, through the HSE our Government Health Service. As a diabetic for over 55 years I could never afford to pay for all the medicine and supplies that I have used. I have taken over 80K injections at this a very long time. So I am very grateful for the service from the Government of Ireland that I have been provided for all my life.

Bernie has always been a voice of reason. He’s a man of conviction who truly cares about the welfare of the American people. Very compassionate and honest man. It’s a shame he wasn’t the nominee in 2016 but we move. Hopefully he will inspire more people like himself to get into politics so that positive change can happen. Universal healthcare, reigning in the big corporations and billionaire elites, more investment into education and infrastructure, better working conditions etc.. America has so much wealth and power it’s honestly insane that it’s the only country in the entire world not to have universal healthcare. It’s honestly disgraceful how much power these greedy insurance corporations have. Healthcare should be a right.

I see more and more seniors homeless in Phoenix,AZ. They can’t afford the rent? The heat in Phoenix is incredible and these seniors who worked all their lives now have to navigate the system they built through their taxes and raising families. It’s just not right? 😮

well, you may be disgruntled with them and just got in but I have had two major surgeries one at $95,000 that I could not have paid for and then another one at 65,000. You tell me who's gonna pay that? Medicare did!! they're trying to dissolve it because of all these immiggrants, I tried to get a policy and was out of insurance for 12 years, because of insurance. that was such a fearful time… That insurance was wanting $868 out of me every month. Obama took charge of s all that!!

Ok Chris. Thanks for that info. I suffered multiple strokes in Nova Scotia and spent 8 hours all alone waiting in the Emergency room. Never got in. Went home and was taken in by ambulance the next day after I suffered a massive stroke. Don’t talk to me about Canada’s “brutal” health care system. What makes it ridiculous is that these are the areas that are effected most by aging and most needed.Why? Do they want seniors who cannot see, hear and eat? How are they to survive? Also they have proven poor dental health effect heart health, No including these in basic health care is death to many. It should be considered preventative care .When lack of basic care causes falls, and crashes and death, folks should sue for lack of affordable coverage.

It is isn’t only the elderly, it is also the disabled - of all ages. Someone disabled at 20 years old does not get dental, vision, or hearing either. It is inhumane. Unless they have friends/family willing to pay out of pocket for them to get this care, they cannot afford it.

However, if they choose a good (if offered in their state) supplemental plan they could get most of those costs covered. That does reduce your social security payments by $174.70/month but should make up for the expense of expensive medical care. In America at present, it is always a choice between the lesser evil.

Direct donations *are* capped, it’s indirect donations through PACs and other loopholes that allow for bulk monetary dumping. Legislation needs to catch up to the latest electoral exploits

Become a CEO, what's stopping you? Work 12-18 hours a day, 7 days a week for 20 years (being a woman these days helps). *Snoop Dog just carried the Olympic Torch in Paris, how many big time CEO's did that? They couldn't buy what he did, so your money issue is your way to call for a USSR system. Regulate all things with government, but ya can't regulate your own work habits & wish to be forced to work 90 hours a week to be a CEO one day.

I'm with Bernie all the way! I have been living in a European country for over 30 years and everything he's talking about we enjoy here already. I was on a debate team in high school in the mid 60s when we debated a universal healthcare, and after 60 years it's still being talked about. Unbelievable! When we lived in Calgary for a while, everyone had healthcare and could also pay extra for private healthcare, the same as where I'm living in Europe. One thing which should be hammered home for the elections is Project 2025, a real draconian disaster, as well as getting dark money and corporate / big donors out of elections, just as in the past as elections should be for "we the people".

You know, I've been told that I shouldn't bother with American politics since I have lived in Australia for the past 20 years. Supposedly it doesn't affect me. This is the thing though, it does affect me. My entire family (except my spouse & I ) lives in the states. What affects them affects me, especially when I'm sending money back home to help my mom pay some bills. $650 USD doesn't go very far every month - that's my mother's social security payment, aka her government pension. My dad gets double that because mom stayed home with kids for 25 years. That's the thanks she gets for being a SAHM. The only way my parents can even afford things is that 1 - my dad still works (he's 77), and 2 - my mom lives with my sister and they both own their homes.

It's just the US. Don't get confused. In other parts of the world - obviously unknown to he US - Bernie would be just another main-stream politician. In Germany (and many other EU countries) even conservatives actually support - at least some of - Bernie's politics. When it comes to democracy, the US is not leading the world anymore. It only leads in "power by force". Some may call that a bully.
