Finally someone else has discovered this gem! I think I paid around $20 at Wal-Mart for mine. Love it it's made me a lot of money. As long as a tool does the job and doesn't break I don't care where it comes from or how much or little it cost
Lol. I just got the same model (with the fancy box), the other day. It was like deja vu watching you fill the already filled unit. I did the same thing, bro.
Update . Bought a Mag-Torch in 2021 . Essentially the same product with one difference. It has a power control dial that goes 1 to 4. Think it actually cuts down on the heat where you would be using the hot blow or torch tip.
I've had that same Soldering Iron for about 3 years now and hasn't failed yet. For the price it's a really decent Iron and heats up fairly quick. Then I have my Weller Soldering Gun for other applications on thicker wire. Great Review on this brother, hope your having a great New Year.
Did some useful on mine soldered a 12 volt cig lighter adapter with fuse for an 12 24 to 5v usb adapter to get power from an 20 volt lithium tool battery. To keep my tablet charged.
You can also leave soldering tip on and use the hole on side to heat the heat shrink. This speeds up service quite a bit as you are not removing and installalling the hot soldering tip
Nice video! Keep on practicing and you will be good in no time! Always tin the tip first, always use flux and always put fresh solder onto the tip before turning it off to keep the tip new
Hi Justin love your videos keep up the good content coming, With that soldering iron you can set it down on a workbench while it's on by laying it on the trigger but take note make sure the vents aren't in line with the trigger or when you set it down you will burn the workbench make sure the vents are at 90° to the trigger, I've learnt that mistake on the dining table lol
The power probe is what I have I use the the knife tip and heat shield tip a lot, I also have the power probe torch kit with the small attachments almost and it's great for soldering and heating well worth the money got both kits for 120 bucks
I've had the mini torch style bernzomatic for about 15 years, still works great. Have used it to solder wire, copper pipes, and melt ice out of frozen locks. Keep up the good videos bud.
I got the power probe for around$40. But it came with a roll of leaded iron, a whole bunch of tips, a case, and a sponge.... So they'll probably work out to be the same price if u buy all that for the bernzomatic....js
You forgot to purchase the BernzoMatic water soluble flux tube paste that is sold separately in the same area where you found the solder torch. It makes for a better flowing clean shiny solder joint connection. ........just sayin'.
I've had bad luck with mine, im on the third one and this one doesn't seem to be getting hot enough to melt the solder and do the soldering jobs it's frustrating cuz you ruin things when you can't use it like you expect you're going to, when it works good I do well but sometimes it's it just doesn't heat up well enough and you end up messing around with it too much and trash what you're working on
Are you by chance related to T.J. Miller? Also awesome video thank you! Just bought this but was hoping to see it used before I took it out of the box!
