You can feel the vengeance he carries and the unyielding rage towards each apostle behind the creepy notes of the guitar and the violin. The story of apostles like The Count or Rosine, as much as heartbreaking, are overshadowed by how badly you want him to kill them and this theme captures it perfectly.
@@itsbignerdtime6189 well the music is the only thing that went great from this shithole wanna-be anime (not the manga), so banger OSTs really don't fit it. If this soundtrack would be in an actual good adaptation, then it would fit perfectly imo

If someday Theresia is reintroduced on the story (maybe as the new leader of the Holy Iron Chain Knights and, since Guts and his group had gone full MIA since the Battle of Vritannis, she and the HICK could be the new monster hunters of the land) and she reencounters Guts, a fight between these 2 will be incredible, not counting that her interactions with Rickert and Isidro will be super awesome, assuming she'll be reintroduced, maybe on the current arc!
I've seen a few people here say that the lyrics don't fit since they are directly taken from griffith's theme but i always interpreted it as griffith's words still echoing through gut's mind. Thought that's pretty fitting since black swordsman guts is hellbend on revenge and griffith is practically all he thinks about.
Well I am not defending the series but a sword of that size and weight will make a sound like that, well a sword like the dragon slayer will be nearly impossible to wield in the first place soooooo.......

well the idea of it was to have a contrast. The Golden Age Guts theme is supposed to represent mostly him as a child and philosopher, while the black swordsman themes (Normal, Unleashed, Dragon-Slayer, Monster, and Fear) all represent the Ferocity and Anger of The Black Swordsman. Meanwhile, Ash Crow is supposed to represent the Beast and Berserker Armor
I have to agree with you. Susumu Hirasawa has a talent of writing a song that is capable of emulating the violence and the few blissful moments that Berserk has. He can show the light in the bleakness while making everything sound a bit...ancient, otherworldly. While this is an ok soundtrack, it is not very Berserk just because it's "badass".
I just started recently with the manga (im at chapter 133 right now in just 3 days) and i absolutely fell in love with it. Glad i didn't start with the anime, since everyone is hating on it, but the osts are dope af
@@theduckaholicgamer7976 yeah unfortunately Berserk 97 was under tight budget and schedule, they clearly did their best to adapt the golden age with only 24 episodes (the first one dedicated to the black swordman arc). I'm sure that with just a few more episodes and the exclusion of the black swordman, they would have been able to cover a bit more and gives the show a proper ending. The weirdest thing in this adaptation is clearly the cut of the Skull Knight.
After seeing twitter reaction to berserk, I'm not sure everyone is ready for it, me included (I don't think I'm mentally strong enough for the manga...)

It has killed sooo many outworldly creatures (apostles, zombies, skeletons, haunted trees ect.) that his sword kinda absorbed some of their lifeforce and energies and now is a cursed slab of iron that could kill ghosts and actual Godlike beings

actually it was Grifith's theme in 2013 movies. But in 2016 adaptation they made it BlackSwordman's theme. They didn't even changed the lyrics wich makes it sound weard. bruh...
