Berserk 365 And 366... 

Griffith was just nostalgic that he kept smiling and infuriating Guts even more , Guts swinging like a maniac not being able to lay a hit on Griffith was exactly what happened in their first encounter in the golden age arc , which was upsetting and heartwarming at the same time

I was just in awe reading both of these chapters, the art is still absolutely astounding!

Berserk literally never misses. Awaiting July 8th for yet another godly chapter.

Guts did manage to cut off a strand of Griffith’s hair went he swung at his head, it’s really easy to miss with how much is going on.

I remember thinking when Griffith showed up at first, “Guts has changed so much. I wonder how he’ll react. Will they talk?” Nope. Guts swung ON SIGHT.

The chapters were pretty enjoyable. Some are complaining about its art and body proportions of Griffith but to me getting anything after Miura passed away is a blessing. Hope to see this beloved seires continue and come to a proper conclusion.

Griffith showed up RIGHT IN FRONT OF GUTS.. and he still didn't transform into the Berserker. He was able to push it down and keep it at bay. I think this actually shows that Guts has pretty much mastered his beast, and now he is using it.

That has to be rough- Guts is likey torn between killing Griffith for what he's done and forever alienating him from Casca for killing their son due to Griffith possessing his body of their son or sparing his son that would allow Griffith to live to commence his likely repulsive future plan that will lead to more tragedy. He's damned if he does something and damned if he does nothing.

After I've read those 2 chapters instead of hype I felt down so much sadness for Miura. And After I saw one of his assistants tweeting that Miura when he was alive he was doing 99% of the chapters work truly made me tear up. Mad respect to Mori & the assistants for holding on on this mad pressure that some are giving them. I wish them the best & can't wait for the next chapters to come!

Words can't describe how good reading Berserk again felt man, i wanted to cry and break down but I'm also so happy at the same time. In terms of art they've done such an amazing my god, although i did have some minor complains with how Griffith looked I'd still say it looks pretty damn amazing.

There's a bit more complexity to Guts reaction to Griffith. It's important to note that at 1st amidst Casca screaming, Guts instictively tries to contain the Armor. Obviously to protect Casca in this situation and the others. So he had to focus and keep all the rage and anger towards Griffith and just enough as to not let the armor loose. That panel of both Casca and Guts reaction is insane.

Berserk is in good hands. Also, it seems next chapter releases in the next issue of the magazine in 2 weeks, if I'm not mistaken, which is insane. It seems they've worked really hard this past year, probably slowly preparing for this. I suspect they'll keep releasing constantly until the arc is over, since they also gave an exact number, 6 chapters left, so 4 more without the ones released now.

I honestly loved these chapters. They were shorter than the chapter’s Miura gave us and a few panels looked off or weird compared to Miura’s artwork but for the most part, the artwork was pretty consistently beautiful. It felt like how I’d imagine a continuation of Berserk without Miura would be and want I needed it to be. Miura’s story with a new spin on his artstyle. Not being a HUGE departure from Miura’s work and clearly identifiable as Berserk but still signifying a new start to Berserk.

It felt weird reading new content after so long it was a peculiar experience but im extremely happy

I'm very curious to see what Casca's role in the story will be after recovering her memories and being confronted by the man that destroyed her.

It felt so good reading these chapters. So happy berserk is back. And are we really getting chapters bi-weekly?

The thing i am so SO excited for with the series coming back is this reunion between rickert and guts once more as guts faces his own purpose again. Seeing the new rickert party form and then be left at nothing but a departure excruciating, because after miura died and the last chapter came out, while that cliffhanger, if left as it was included a sense of closure for Guts, i feel like the world of Berserk would remain a massive loose end. I see these chapters as a provocation for guts to once again turn his attention back to the world at large, which will only serve to persecute him and casca if left alone. I'm just so excited

I will be eternally grateful to the team for continuing this masterpiece, I can't wait see what's next and I hope we get a schedule for the chapters to come... Missed this so much and the artwork is so beautiful and expressive

it hurt so much to see casca suffering already after just getting better. seeing the desperation on guts face when he realized none of his swings were connecting was beyond frustrating. it's crazy how berserk can have a simple action scene that can make a grown man tear up.

I was a bit afraid the new chapters will look too "digital" because of the way they did the latest volume cover and the gradual artsyle change before in general (not that it would really matter as long as the story is done justice and the art serves its purpose well enough). But the art in these chapters actually reminds me of Conviction arc and even Golden Age with how sketchy and rough it gets, I love it. I have complete trust in the team's artstyle now. I also don't mind if we don't get spreads as mindblowing as at the end of Millenium Falcon/beginning of Fantasia as long as the release pace is sensible, we don't need any more fanatical pursuit of artistic perfection, sometimes "good enough" is really enough if you want to get anywhere.

Was waiting for your video Masked. I feel like you and Ryan are the ones who I can relate to the most because you're the only guys who seem as passionate about Berserk as I am. (Also because none of my friends have read it and I have no one to discuss it with, which is just sad.)

My only (slight) grievance with the art work, wasn’t in any specific character design. Such as Griffith which a lot of people are complaining about. For me, it’s just gonna take some time to get used to the art style during actions shots…specifically Guts swinging the DS. That’s the only thing that immediately stood out to me. Idk exactly how to put it into words, but the angling of guts and indications of sword movement are a lot different than Miuras. That aside, two great chapters. And I’m excited moving forward

For those who didn't notice, guts actually DOES land one tiny hit on griffith. If you look at one of the panels after griffith seemingly phases through guts' attacks, you see a glowing piece of white hair fall off of griffith. Although small, he landed a hit on griffith.

I'm just so happy. I really don't have anything else to say for once, I'm just feeling sincere emotions right now and I know you all are to. Also, glad to see normal Puck for once. The detail he got in one page was more than the past 100 chapters combined.

Nice, I'll continue to follow your videos about the next chapters. Many other people on their videos are just whining about how the art "is not that good" and "it will never be the same". Goddamit, it looks great and I really liked the execution of the panels and how it tells a lot without text. I'm so happy to have Berserk back and the quality is great.

These chapters were, legitimately, perfection. There were two ways I saw this confrontation between Griffith and co. going down: • sob story sad shit reconciliation • the rage. And I prayed with everything in my fucking heart when I heard berserk was coming back, that it was the rage. And yet, I still knew guts would be as powerless as ever compared to Griffith. *Utter, bittersweet, perfection.*

Even tho our lord and savior is no longer with us. It's nice to see his asisstants and his best friend are trying to finish his story.

Even though the artwork isn't precisely the same, but it's still well within the BERSERK we're familiar with. I'm just happy the story is continuing. So many years, and we've been stuck in limbo for a proper closure. Miura's assistants have this well in hand. I know they'll give it the ending it deserves in due time.

i saw someone say that Guts was able to take a strand of hair of Griffiths head in chapter 366 I don't know if he actually did or that's just how that scene was drawn but that could mean guts was able to touch griffith somehow or at least his sword was able to

Im pretty sure this has been mentioned tons of time now but.. In chapter 366 page 3 last panel, You will see a strand of hair that dragonslayer cut.. So it's not clearly impossible but it's far. Rickert slap > Dragonslayer

Chapter 365 felt surreal and by the end of 366 I realized Berserk is back!!! Thank you to Kouji Mori and all the artists at Studio Gaga for continuing the legacy of the late Kentaro Miura.

Re read berserk in 4 days these moments were Soo incredible, while having the previous arcs fresh in memory.

I almost started to cry when I saw those first pages. We can rest well knowing berserk is in great and capable hands. I, along with every fan are just happy. Happy to see our story finished, happy to see the art style we know and love come back. Thank you and welcome back ❤

Been a while since i was this bewildered by a chapter release. Seeing this giant being brought back to us is genuinely one of the most beautiful moments in my manga fan life.

Quick note, I'm pretty sure it was Farnese calling out to Shierke with the "Master!" lines. I don't think Shierke would mistake Griffith, a being she understood as dangerous and monstrous, to be her master, but I don't know, I'd like to hear other thoughts on this. With so much going on, it's easy to misinterpret or completely miss some interesting details.

I thought the most interesting part was when guts armor started to creep up and seal him in, but it didnt. that made guts new look with the eye even more intriguing.

A thought I'm curious about, do you think the breakdown would have taken a little longer without Casca's reaction? Because I can see the more mature Guts wanting to feel things out just in case. But with Casca's Brand erupting with the violence it was shown to, and her emotional trauma rushing back, that's a culmination of both of Guts' prime motivations, forcing him past the edge.

I have to say, I impressed that guts actually handle the berserk armor like a pro, he sees Griffith, we see how the beast of darkness was jumping right into guts, but nevertheless he never uses it. We see the eye of the beast in Guts face, yes, but... I was impressed about him not going full berserk with Griffith in front, moreover in the fact that the beast uses whatever he encounters to go full berserk

I liked the chapters, I also liked that there wasn't too much dialog because it just added to the tension. I hope Miura would have liked them as well.

This is likely the final confrontation with Zodd. Skull Knight is still there and Zodd is facing Berserker Guts. I'm predicting Zodd's death and blood resulting in the Dragonslayer being able to hurt Griffith. This will force the retreat due to Griffith knowing Guts is now capable of killing a Godhand

The series plot is a Trope. Griffith and Guts Both are driven by the Same Desire to Live to the Fullest. Both have similar and completely polar opposites of those Desires. Only in Combat do they Communicate the Clearest. Like Naruto and Sasuke, they talk with their fists

While i was reading these two chapters, I started to feel just a small beam of light for guts and then the world just crumbled. I just wanna see my boy guts to have just one fucking nice moment. Even for a brief moment.

5:48 I think she doesn't believe to be her master. That bubble with the word "--ster. Ma-" was actually Farnese talking to her only that it seems just then Schierke could hear her. That's why after it, there's again another call from Farnese to Schierke as "Master".

Great commentary! I read the chapters and for the first time ever needed to hear someone talk about what we just experienced(regarding berserk. I've avoided a lot of berserk youtube content...cause early on it seemed misguided and rather toxic), searched "berserk new chapter" and you were the first one up...took a shot and dude, fantastic! I love the art in these new chapters...they respect the original art, but they are different in their own rights...cleaner lines, not a lot of obsessive cross-hatch shading which was Kento's signature...but it looked great! Almost like a cover of a song...all the familiar beats are there but they don't attempt to copy what the master perfected! I'm pretty emotional...when Kento passed, I steeled myself to the reality that berserk would be an unfinished masterpiece...that ended in a way that...felt fine. Hearing that his best friend and his apprentices are finishing the work is something truly beautiful...and unseen in any medium (I'm sure there must be SOME exceptions). Forgive a lame joke...I half expected Sanderson to offer to finish the series (hold for groans). Thanks for this video, I'm gonna check out more of your content cause I appreciate your honest emotion.

Just to talk about the artwork, it actually looks good, not quite miura but I think just a few chapters will lead to one being able to mistake them for miura panels. Storywise, it's so amazing. I had no doubt about the writing side of things. The ony worry I had was the artwork and paneling. Thankfully they're very generous with the spreads of panels and appropriately placed dialogue. I can't wait for more

Just when Guts was starting to open his heart for Moonlight child whom positive is his son….Then Griffith reveals himself once more right in front of his Eyes. Shocking Revelation is one more significant value that Griffith’s talons deprive from Guts’ tormented heart. The Beast of Fury and Hatred awakens from its slumber. Omen is Zodd’s Arrival; the island Skellig is not safe from Evil. Not anymore…

It was kinda heartbreaking for me to see the first page of chapter 366. Despite how much Guts has healed, no matter how far he's gotten, there's still that bit of darkness, anger and hatred within him that takes over in his most vulnerable moments.

This made me so happy. And another chapter in a couple weeks! And yea, like always the art is just astounding. Art like this or say another of my favorite manga Vagabond I stare at for so much longer than other panels of other manga. Like back in the day when I first got into manga when someone gave me the first couple Ghost in The Shell. With art like this you can get away without much dialogue at all and still tell the story. Love it.

I’m a new berserk fan and I’ve gotta say it’s my favorite manga, I just caught up to the manga a few days before the new chapter came and out and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m not sure if this is a popular opinion in the community but I do not hate Griffith at all. I feel like Miura crafted Griffith in a way way where I can’t hate him. Regarding the situation at the eclipse I couldn’t really blame him for sacrificing his friends, it’s an incredibly inhumane thing to do of course, however in the past as a leader Griffith always has always had to sacrifice people and once he sacrificed one person their sacrifice would be completely in vain if he gave up on his dream. Couple that with a year straight of torture and a feeling of abandonment from the person closest to you ,the fact that he was basically completely disabled for the rest of his life making it completely impossible for him to complete his dream unless he sacrificed them and I feel it’s incredibly human for hun to make a decision that selfish. I understand why he did it so I can’t bring myself to hate him. So I kinda feel like it’s a bit immature to say you hate him completely because I feel Miura intended for him to be so despicable but so understandable that it’s hard to hate him,

I don’t think there will be a flashback. Flash back’s usually be made from the writer him self if he want to clear something up

My theories: - Skull Knight will, indeed, confront Zodd, and we'll discover more of the backstory of the two. - Guts will keep trying to fight Griffith, but fail miserably. - Caska will awaken, confront Griffith and shall make a decision about her future, her goals, and Guts will support her. - The Flowerstorm King will appear and banish Griffith and Zodd from the island, before more damage can be done. For all their power, this is still her domain, and there are powers other than the Godhand acting in the world, its not like Griffith will go around doing whatever he wants unchallenged. - Caska will recognize that Griffith is using the body of her child as a vessel, and that might be the way to stop him. - The Flowerstorm King will show her a way to maybe separate the vessel from Griffith. She will then leave the Island, with Guts and team, to achieve that goal, and thats what the next saga will be (the last one too, probably).

I am from Northern Europe and I was just celebrating midsummer and read these chapters while drunk as fuck and after watching this video I just realised they were actually real chapters not only some drunkish fever dream. Damn this is amazing

It really is a hell of a message to send giving fans 2 chapters in one day. It's the kind of statement that only the community of Berserk manga fans will receive loud and clear, without having to call attention to it.

I mean the staff are very old and close frienda and colleagues of Miura, so meaning they know the worl and his intentions. Plus they have notes from Miura himself, so they're not really making stuff up, they're following a guide. The art will probably be just the major difference, but as themes, story and character build go its all according to miura

Though I love Kentaro's art more, whoever made these 3 chapters did a fantastic job of giving the Berserk vibe and art!

I don't know man,I found the drawing a little uncanny,when it came to guts an Griffith. I don't know if it is the paneling or the details in the face of the two. But hey it still feels like Berserk, let's hope it continues this way.

WHEN ZODD'S HAND CAME THROUGH IN 366 I SWEAR IAGHHHGHGAHGHGHAGHHGHG In all seriousness, I feel like this was a reminder Guts still has a way to go. He relaxes. He finds friends. He makes peace with himself and he's finally achieved his goal involving Casca. But Griffith is still there. And Griffith terrorizes Casca like after the Eclipse. I feel that on the island, Guts gave up his revenge for Griffith. But Griffith showed up, and it was like the Eclipse again when Casca was so terrified. Guts lost himself. You can see it in his expression, in his impatient swings, in his style that's just begging for a single drop of blood to be shed from Griffith's skin. Guts is nothing but infuriated. But he didn't unleash the berserker. He has mastered his anger. Even if Griffith can make Guts this upset he still has something left and he can just keep the Berserker away if only for a second.

They touched on the fact that gatts was not fully utilizing the armor. I feel he'll master the armor in the near future possibly.

These recent chapters made me remember what kind of twat Griffith was during the Golden Age arc. He's just so smug, but there's somethign kind of interesting with Griffith's arrival on he island: his indifference towards Guts. During the Golden Age, Griffith wanted to possess Guts and Guts leaving was perhaps the biggest driving force to push him to embrace the Behelit. Now we're seeing a Griffith that has let him go completely, and I'm wondering how that's going to affect the two in the future.

I've always thought an interesting end would be Guts activating a behelit, and sacrificing Griffith to it.

If Zodd could be viewed as a sort of pseudo-rival to Guts, which I kinda look at him as, then I'll be looking forward to the standard third and final confrontation. Zodd 3 baby.

The fact that this story is being allowed to continue is just astounding to me in the best way. I am so grateful for all the people working on Berserk to continue Miuras vision 🙏🙏🙏

I am happy that the series continued on, but honestly these last chapters really bug me. After the last page of chapter 364 I expected something completely different. After all the characters have been through I never excpected this reunion to end in a fight, and even if it does, the kind of blind rage Guts shows here kind of goes against the character at this point. I think Miura would have gave us something more nuanced and emotional, than Guts shouting angrily at Griffith for the 100th time. It feels like, what a fan would think happen, rather than the author himself. Sadly, we will never know how Miura's story would have turned out...

Next chapter's coming out 8th July. Considenring Mori and GAGA said elf island chapter will end in 6 chapters (4 left), these 6 chapters are probably already finished and to be published in the magazine on its usual schedule (Young animal is biweekly). After the end of Elf island they'd probably take a pause i guess.

I loved the art, if Miura is a 10, this was probably a 8 or 8.5 at least

one thing i was glad to see is that regular puck was back on screen after so long of just Chestnut Puck

I remember people complaining about all the chestnut Puck jokes, cultural references, "lolis going 'kyaa!'" and general silliness that Miura had been using in the comic lately, but I'm starting to think maybe he was setting that up to have it be lost forever and destroyed by what's to come. One last chance to be carefree before shit hits the fan so we can appreciate what is now gone and there is a sense of loss. That's what I felt when I saw regular Puck, no more chestnut.
