Fun fact: The lyrics to this song are in no particular language. The composer Susumu Hirasawa said that he didn't want to disrupt the listener's image of Berserk, but include rather more of the "language" of Berserk. It’s nonsensical which means a listener from anywhere can appreciate the sounds of the song.
@@justaguywithhisgrasseson5522 I may be a Berserk fan but, I hate to be "that guy" but calling it "the best" is ludicrous. There are other great mangas out there.
Let me share with you the genius of this song: an "Aria" is a solo song with orchestral accompaniment. These reached their height of popularity during the Baroque period, in which it allowed a character to express his feelings on a subject. THIS aria is of the world of Berserk itself telling the world how brutal, inhuman, and monsterous it is. How beautifully primal the creatures are within. The usage of a made up language allows you to get the purest form of the feeling of the expansive, mystical, and grimdark universe in all its glory. The usage of a Baroque style aria is also genius in its own right. The Baroque period is known for its extremely immaculate and excessive attention to detail in every little part of architecture, art, and fashion. Which is EXACTLY what Miura is known for in his artstyle.

The way 2:05 brought me to tears. Berserk being one of the first mangas I’ve ever read when I was younger, I’m sad but grateful for over 300+ chapters from the greatest. Rip Kentaro Miura!
Big Sword - Checked Tall and Strong Physique- Checked Lost an Arm after fighting Demons- Checked Loses himself in the Rage/Darkness- Checked His Girlfriend's name starts with the letter 'C'- Checked Dam FromSoftware really like referencing Berserk :O
@@turbotrup96 If a story is nothing but dark the entire time it will eventually fail. Nobody likes a story that is constantly dark. A story has to have highs so that it can have lows. Miura said that the rest of this current arc would shock readers which means we're in for something pretty grim, so stop complaining
I feel like thing song is too triumphant and bombastic for the Eclipse, Murder does a better job of encapsulating the sheer horror and animalistic desperation of everyone being sacrificed to eternal suffering
I don’t care what people say, the movies are actually good, they’re not an amazing adaptation but I really enjoyed them, it’s the 2016 AND THE 2017 anime I hate....
I always though of the GA movies as a way for the studio to use as spring board for future movies. That'd explain how rushed the movies feel. Except nothing came after the third movie.
This man is a legend, im a 49 year old mom watching this with my 17 year old son, WE have listened to every song, discussed every show od every series made, im fully committed 👍
@@speedwagon_69 I don't think so; DP is pretty good at close adaptations that please fans, so I think they'd do it enough justice. My pick would be Wit Studio though... that could be perfect.
Even if its not that great, something is still better than nothing at all, since we have to face it they don't make alot of seinen animes, and while most of berserk adaptations are either meh or on the bad side, there are still some. While something like the korean "The breaker and The breaker:New Waves" will most likely either never be adapted in anime format or 10-20 years in the future :*(. Same for more seasons of mahouka no rettousei and other more niche or less popular manga/LN/WN. We need more mature, dark, seinen and gory animes. And while not exactly seinen category I was happy when they did Tower of god, tho they fucked it up a lot, making a mature and more darker and informative story into a more shounen simpler anime. Its still something... So i hope they take more niche and different things to adapt like "Until death does us apart" "Dark Mage" more "Tower of God" and others.
Its obvious its not his grammar but his phone and probably that annoying dictionary and word prediction. But seeing as most people are fairly dumb and emotional, I can understand your mediocre reactions.
@@107set now i think about it david would actually be a better choice they are experienced at adapting older titles and a show like beserks needs artstyle and music more than animation something david does the best
sometimes i find a dark souls 3 theme and i naturally progress into dark souls 1 music and from there it's either berserk or shadow of the colossus ost, you know what, a lot of very extraordinary genuinely epic ost have originated from japan

i can imagine an open world berserk game that operates like rd2 with a main story but you can also take on quests that usually end up in a unique apostle fight and this is the apostle fight theme
This year I was able to buy a few Berserk figures since they finally released "affordable" models. Everytime I unbox and assemble one, I put this song on and blast it on repeat until I'm done!
Rest in peace, Kentaro Miyura, you have created the best manga that have been ever made. thank you for all the emotion that i have felt reading Berserk, and for all the inspiration that have i felt in my head while reading berserk. you made me want to draw. and i will do it.
I agree. To many whingy babies crying about 2016 berserk. You want incredibly detailed berserk in all its glory than you have the manga ffs.. I enjoy all berserk adaptions and as long as the fans are willing to spend money on the franchise then they will keep adapting it.. is 2016 berserk the best? nope, not by a long shot.. the best adaption was made 23 years ago. But i still enjoy 2016/17 Berserk a lot.
My opinion. There is a vicious cycle on whining crybabies (not myself) that don’t like the newest adaptations and won’t financially support it and even go out of their way to lambaste the show. That in turn leads to poor budget and publicity for future adaptations.
Imagine hearing 2:00 over the ending of berserk if it ever ended and got animated of some kind of epic fight where the old band of the hawks has been brought to life and are fighting
@@Rocket07635 I mean it's actually something that's in the Berserk and The Band Of The Hawk game, you can fight alongside the OG band of the Hawk in the mini game and then you fight against them.
