@@REvoLverj98 God is the definition of good. Not all who follow Him are good, but those that do not are definetly not good. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that doeth good. - Psalm Psalm 14:1
How have you never seen him happy? His happiness is swinging his sword. Remember the talk with Godo after he left the BoTH? He knows nothing else and he hopes one day he goes down in battle hence "He died doing what he loved." If you disagree I'll mention happiness is subjective. He's happy with himself not with life
There is a video named 'Guts theme but it is an analysis video'. In the video, the person talks about what is so haunting about Guts theme - it represents hope, possibility, future, warmth and, well, trust in a world where we know none of those to hold permanent sway. Causality has decided when and how to crush these emotions, and only allows them to flourish until they serve its purpose. That Guts theme represents an illusory hope in a cruel world, is what makes it so haunting and beautiful - you're given a moment to breathe in the calm and hopeful, but just a moment.
I think that take is flawed heavily and biased against guts which imo defeats the purpose of berserk. The entire thing is, it's anything but illusory. It's almost insurmountable difficulty, but it's truly possible and we see that in guts time and again.
@@mclovin2155 Not true! Miura did an interview a long time ago and when asked if a happy ending is possible, he had this to say: "I’d say it’s possible. I used to have the final moves planned out, but lately I’ve been thinking I’d rather figure them out when I come to it, so now it’s hard to say what could happen. Being the sort of person I am, though, I actually don’t think I could let such a long grim story end with a grim ending - like, say, having him suddenly die. I don’t really like that kind of entertainment. I’ll leave it to my subconscious." So there's still hope! (Which is a big theme in this story). I hope we'll get an ending with Guts and Casca alive and content with everything, even if it's bittersweet.
Its 2:35 am here and im wondering about life, my life have been full of nothing but tragedies and i have to say that watching berserk taught me to keep going for my own, those thoughts about giving up are always in my head but i try to fight them
Spoiler alert: I watched the anime first and when it got to this scene i cried like a baby. im a grown ass man and this had me in tears. Guts wasnt some saint or anything but he didn't deserve to watch the women he loves get raped by the man he admired the most. he had a terrible upbringing and the band of the hawks was his only refuge and source of peace in his life, and at its peak it was all ripped away from him by griffith. I felt absolutely hopeless after seeing this in the anime and couldnt stop thinking about it for days. i decided to read the manga and there was never any resolution which made it even worse. Greatest tragedy ever written :(
Ngl too u, You and me both first time I actually saw this was at 4am episode 24 seeing the demons surrounding the Band n Guts with an Injury beating broken down Griffith starring up at the other gods telling him that he'll be a perfect sacrifice n all his friend would die there hit in a scary way then too watch him do that too Casca infront off guts as his fucking eye is getting riped apart is too much
@@TexasGreed There are 12 notes we use in western music to make all music. This is called twelve tone equal temperament. Each note has a specific hz that is assigned to it. Starting from c, d, e, f, g, a, b, c. The note A's hz is 440, but some people believe that lowering A to 432 hz opens chakras and other weird stuff. The note's pitch would sound slightly lower. They think its meant to be 440hz to be equal with the other notes and some other weird math stuff. I don't think this song even uses the note A.
Ah, one without obnoxious artefacting. I mean it's still there, especially audible in the piano, but it's the best version so far. Sorting that out will have a far more profound effect than shifting A a few Hz.
Yea I'm kinda new to this so its pretty shit, but i tried. Trying to get better and make it crisp. Haven't seen that much berserk postings like this so i tried to make one myself
He did everything wrong without doing anything wrong. He was already chosen before he knew, he only had the illusion of choice the same way people had the illusion he is righteous
@@Yarmox that's IF you believe in causality. Remember Guts was supposed to die in the eclipse but he didnt. I think the whole point of berserk if to say "fuck you" to causality. Griffith gave in but I still believe he had the choice.
@@tobysmith2081 these mf with that "griffth had no choice" bs be like: "yo he raped his best friend's girlfriend plus killed his entire crew but he only did it cuz he had to"
This scene. This music. Ive been there and inside this captures it perfectly. But I got through it there is so much to live for. Please carry on. You are worth it.
I think every single person who knows this song has a specific memory/memories (especially involving a specific place) that they think back on when they hear it. City of Phoenix for me
Haven’t watched this series yet. Either don’t watch it and paint a picture on what the series is like or watch it and wish to watch it for the first time again. I dont know but this soundtrack is tempting me even more.
The manga is amazing (i believe the story still is not finished yet). I started when i heard about the 97s anime. Which i fully watched and is alright even tho i rather avoid older animated shows, if you want a more recent adaptation there are the golden age arc movies which cover the same story as the anime did but is not animated that greatly (still alright). AVOID the 2016 and 2017 animes. Those two are a tragedy on it's own. AWFUL. I would recommend the manga but if you wanted to see some of the story in animation the 97 anime is worth to watch. I'm not interested in watching anime or reading manga anymore (i still read the monthly Record of Ragnarok manga) but one thing i still want to read is the Berserk manga (i do not remember at which arc i stopped reading)
@@NeonNerve same, that's why i still have not watched animes like Cowboy Bepop and Evangalion despie their recommandations. Ofcourse the manga can't be compared with their very gritty yet detailed drawings, but the anime (90s) adepted it rather well and even tried some of the drawings in their stillframes. I wish berserk had the treatment Madhouse gave to Hellsing Ultimate, even tho it took half a decade. The quality was garanteed.
Guts in Clip: Every How to Train Your Dragon Fan ever when DreamWorks made that Rescue Riders Musical! Update: It's also every How to Train Your Dragon fan when Dean Deblois decides to go Live-Action.

Man can berserk just get a good a faithful anime. Like pls. The 97 anime is really perfect and I think is about all someone would need besides reading the manga. It’s had its flaws while there being very little. But it was so good. If only they continued the anime all these years and we got to see to sections we’ve never seen from the manga on the acreen
