Stoked to see this game coming back a bit. I have to admit it can be super frustrating at times, especially for someone like me in lower ranks and mains Inquisitor, but it's still super fun to play when it's competitive
@@Litch_Bih Nice! Hope you're having fun with game. I'm biased, but I'll still suggest that you give Soulcalibur a try if you want another fighting game to play (that's my personal favorite fighting game series)
Aside from that berserker being one of the best dnf players, berserker got a major change to their passive which makes for some really insane conversion combos, which what was happening there. I think he did 3 or 4 conversions that combo to extend it.
Honestly, I think they will add that in after a new patch because that takes more time to make since it was in the original game and now we even more crazy. The roll and health buff helped along with guard up but it still be nice to have at least one more chance to get out or have a manual recover button like other games at the very least.
@@RavenCloak13 Combo breakers were not in the original game outside of specific classes owning it. Such as the entire thief archetype and the mage archetypes. Otherwise, we've only ever had quick getup and the miss system being the only combo breakers.
@@AlchemistStar50 Burst is a combo breaker though isn't it? Someone said you guys had burst system and looking at footage yeah. You could spend like 1/4 of a meter to get them off you or something is what they said.
@@RavenCloak13 For DNF? Nope. As far as i recall it did not have burst. Thief's had doppelganger which let them escape combos by dropping a body clone and teleporting somewhere safe and mages had a similar mechanic. Other than those two archetypes the rest just had to hope for a miss activation or hope they drop them on the ground long enough for a quick getup.
The fact that they gave my boy Grappler ground bounce on any J.S hit is insane. I'm sad I didn't get to see any shenanigans with the new Awakening buff from that Grappler though.
This is one of those fighting games I can watch but never play, The never ending round robbing combos would have me seething. Super cool if I pulled them off but the emotional rollercoaster would be worse than usual.
@@Grim_Bud I know a lot of people hopped on Launcher because of the good buffs. Not seen enough of Enchantresses to really see people take advantage of the buffs she got, outside of her teleport lol
My sparring partner mains Berserker and it is so frustrating when he is 70% health and manage to drop below 30% to end it with Awakening dealing a crap tons of dammage. Though now I have a lot of experience fighting Berserkers lmao.
Just recently got DNF Duel after your videos reminded me it existed. As a Crusader main, do we agree that the real threat of Dragon Knight is the child? Every time I'm forced to 2A the little dragon the further I stray from God's Will 😞
I mean you could try to use the holy ball as a way to prevent astra from moving far from her. You can also use the first hit of your 5A clip astra before it can use its attacks.
Depends on your character, but in general the best thing to do is prevent him to get into frenzy by poking or getting the pressure on first. If he gets in first you only have few options depending on how far your fast moves and DP can reach, good thing too is you will always have grey life for conversion when blocking him so depending on characters you can get a full combo out of it. With ghostblade my normals are faster and reach a bit further than him without frenzy so I try to get him to block and put pressure or ghost poke to make him think twice about raw activation after back dashing, now If I'm the one blocking I look for tiny gaps when he has to micro dash to keep his pressure and press 5A or just teleport If I see a large enough gap, I also have 6A conversion so that helps.
The reason I know I’ll never be as a good of a player as max, because I would have raged at that berserker. Not at the player but just the fact that he’s allowed to do that.
Yo why is it that the character your using has to do long ass combos for like 30% health and everyone you go against hits you like twice for 60%?... Am I trippin or??
So sad the Enchantress player didn't really get to go crazy on Max, was really hoping to see some high-level gameplay from the character for once but it just felt like she had to respect Troubleshooter too much and her ranged attacks just traded or had little impact overall. Good stuff from the Berserker and Dragonknight, but nothing I haven't really seen before.
I was watching Punk play berserker and he was double or triple sucking dudes, they had no chance. He said something about sucking the soul out of some guy 🤣😂😂
No. Troubleshooter just has an extremely odd resemblance to Max so it’s kind of a little joke in the community. So much so that they created a mod with a Max look and the buster sword instead of the regular greatsword he usually had. Max even played along with it and made voicelines for the mod (as you can hear throughout the video). It’s pretty funny
Forget how good Max the Dood is at videogames till he casually runs into a constant TNS top 8 player for DNF. I wonder who's berserker is better, Hubert or Punk.
It gets to a point where your experience playing with a character doesnt even matter if you dont know what your opponents character does and you will get FUCKED UP quick cuz u aint know how to deal with that specific character with your character
I feel out of all the characters ive seen fight against berserker seems to be the one who gives u the most trouble and im not sure if its because of the lack of characters played that i may be or the 1/2 touch combos berserker has that draws me to this conclusion...i kno u said before uve had alot of trouble against launcher but berserker jus wipes ur health bar off 1 or 2 mistakes
Yeah....that fight against berserker....yeah doesn't make me ever won't to play the game, if u don't know what Ur doing (hey even if u do! It's not like max is a noob!) U might even not get a chance to press a button almost from full health ...shame as the game looks good but just that fight ..nah u would have to put a lot of time into this for this to be fun because it would probably take forever to even be able to get a flow going. U would just end up mashing and hoping for the best.
There are 5 segments in the guard gauge, so you want people to have 5 bursts???? And with the speed that guard gauge regens people would get like 10-15 bursts per round? Do you play this game at all, or any fighting games with a burst in them? Even in those games you usually only get 2 bursts in 2-3 rounds.
@@navadax4541 I play guilty gear and dnf duel but not at high levels. I see bursts about twice per round (one per player) in strive. I know a change like this probably won’t ever happen in dnf but I think if the bars of guard gauge was reduced to 4 and you could use 1 bar to interrupt combos or block strings it would make the game more defensive and also encourage more grabs maybe. I know it might sound broken but hear me out: if you end up expending your hairs gage too quickly you will be extremely vulnerable to guard break or whatever it’s called. Also, I see people die from tod combos all the time in dnf duel, just like I’m this video for example, so having a way to make the game a bit more of a back and forth I think would be good.
