Bert Kaempfert - Medley 

I had a brother-in-law who was the owner of a McDonald's in Compton area of LA back in the 90s. Every single day, starting at 11:00am, young gang-banging and dope dealers would hang out in front of the door intimidating patrons , cursing and smoking weed. He decided to do something considered rather crazy at the time in order to save his business. My brother-in-law installed loudspeakers outside and pumped out Burt Kaempfert music 24-7. It had an immediate effect. Within 2 days all the punks couldn't take it any more and found a new location down the street ! Happy music drives away evil spirits ? You tell me .

... and just like that, I am walking, hand-in-hand with mommy, circa 1968. God, I miss my parents...😢

It is a pity that big band groups like this no longer exists.

Kampert was a genius I remember dad playing his albums Sunday mornings on the old hi fi back in the day.

I remember this music when I was 13 years old, now I’m 72. ❤

I find it all strangely comforting. Mid-60s, easy-listening. Not jazz, not pop, just light-hearted music coming out of the radio while we ran errands in our Rambler.

Fantastic Musicisns. Mu Mom played and enjoyed a varierty of music so as a child that was our entertainment. This is simply smooth romantic and we danced all night. To the lady that's 72 well so am I and I relate. Just keep on enjoying old memories but make new ones everyday.

I remember my father listen to "Fips" Kaempfert in the 60's and 70's. And dancing with my mum to the music of Bert Kaempfert sometimes. I was visiting my parents in march 2019,my dad was suffering from cancer, and I picked on of his LP's, "Wonderland by Night" from BK and the looks of my parents between the two. My dad passed away, just 3 Weeks later...finding this mix touched me so deeply, sitting here in 2020 and remembering my dad, my mum and their kind of music

Bert came to my attention with Red Roses for a Blue Lady, and that was 1964, and loved his music until now. Had the pleasure of visiting his office in ‘99. Wow! The number of gold records on his wall! . An amazing trip. Thanks for presenting that wonderful video of the maestro.

This tune became a classic in Jamaica where it was turned into a Riddim by Lester Sterling of the Skatalites. Througout the years it has been used as a backing track for hundreds of reggae tunes. Everyone from Beenie Man, Buju, King Yellow. Etc

Una excelente muestra de música instrumental. Buenos temas , un gran director arreglador musical. El sonido es óptimo , en un stereo panorámico de equilibrio perfecto entre orquesta , coro y solista. Conocí la música de Kaempfert siendo un niño de 10 años. Mis padres compraron un disco Long Play de la serie Carrera de Éxitos. Era en la década de los años 60 ... siglo pasado. Pero es increíble volver ahora en 2020 a escuchar esta música producida en ese tiempo , en una presentación deTV de mucho profesionalismo , y sorprenderse tanto. !Qué falta hace este tipo de expresiones ... esta entrega tan hermosa !! Desde Santiago de Chile. GRACIAS POR ESTE LINDO VIDEO
