Baba Booey I think Bert places himself the front of subject matter because he is a recalling comedian that uses his past experiences to understand the world. I think most of his sentences thus begin with “I”. I could be wrong.

the episode of doug loves movies that bert is talking about is absolutely worth your time and the cost of a download i can't stand doug benson but that episode is one of the best podcasts ever because it perfectly illustrates the difference between funny people and doug benson fyi- it's on amazon prime

I instead tried to get actual funny people to quit to make room for more dates for them to learn but that also didn't work. Bert freaks me out. He's always on the edge of crying, laughing or being generally confused. It's like his world is always collapsing. I don't like it. It upsets me. It makes me feel insecure. If you look up the Jim Norton laugh compilations, I'm pretty sure they include that bit in one of them...although I can't remember which one it was in.
