I come from an engineering background and can tell you, despite engineers having a reputation for being boring and antisocial, the amount of passion engineers pour into their work can be astonishing. I remember waking up in the middle of the night with design ideas that I scribbled down on the first available piece of paper. Engineers are inventors at heart. Never forget this.

She's done this before, it's just a strategy that Barbara uses when she is willing to invest and all the answers are good, she will make up something about the entrepreneur like "I feel like you're disrespecting me", "You aren't serious about your business because you live with your Dad". She's just trying to destabilize the entire pitch hoping to break their confidence and scare away the sharks ensuring she can make a ridiculous 40%+ deal.

Yes that is a drastic improvement, and barbara doesn't know how pizza oven market is right now that she lost the deal. I would like to have their Bartello pizza oven in the future since it is affordable, portable and rigid for a high-quality portable pizza oven.

I think entrepreneurs typically hesitate to do deals with Kevin because he comes across as cold, ruthless, and self interested. I've got news for you, most people are ruthless and self interested and they'll run you over to get what they want. They just hide it with fake smiles and niceties, Kevin is direct about it.

Barbara's done this before, it's just a strategy that Barbara uses when she is willing to invest and all the answers are good, she will make up something about the entrepreneur like "I feel like you're disrespecting me" or "You aren't serious about your business because you live with your Dad". She's just trying to destabilize the entire pitch hoping to break their confidence and scare away the sharks ensuring she can make a ridiculous 40%+ deal.

I love how the caption "barbs offer was railroaded" & loved how she was shocked when they took wonderful mr. Even though she essentially became a body language expert yet couldn't understand why these guys didn't keep that same energy from they're opening pitch which is real simple- these guys probably rehearsed that intro a thousand times which gave them confidence early..but everything after was going to be rapid fire questions & have to answer very carefully because what barb doesn't seem to grasp is these guys are obsessed with this invention & have every right to become shy or lose energy more & more until they get offered something
