Today we’re celebrating Bertha Benz and her ground-breaking journey. Dedicated to all the brave and visionary ones who stop at nothing to move the world forward.
Wow could you imagine the look on people's faces back then to see a woman traveling in something they've never even heard of amazing never knew this tky
I know the feeling. Couple years back I was riding an electric unicycle all over the place, people would stare at me and was like, what the heck is that. So many people were like, WHOA, that dude is riding on one wheel, wtf... some people today still stare and be like, whoa...
In India people still look at women driving a car with an awe in lot of places. This shows that gender inequality existed since forever in societies across the world.
Carl Benz are so lucky to have Bertha his partner in life. She believed in Carl for better and for worse. I hope women now a days are like Bertha Benz.
@@VarunK-ii8ebThe trip to the moon used programs written by women. The Benz automobile was financed by Bertha Benz, without her funds and foresight his husband wouldn't have changed the world.
@@gasun1274 the trip to the moon used most of the technologies used by Men. And Calr Benze made the Car. He literally made it. Enough said. Credit goes to Carl Benz.
That was a remarkable woman. I can see why Carl Benz fell in love with her, and remained very much in love to the end of his life. Quoting from Wikipedia: ""In 1925 Carl Benz wrote the following in his memoirs: "Only one person remained with me in the small ship of life when it seemed destined to sink. That was my wife. Bravely and resolutely she set the new sails of hope.""
@@kefkahkefkah Frau Benz was a real woman, and the records show that this trip took place. She solved every one of the mechanical problems encountered on the trip, even cleaning a fuel line all by herself.
Because you understand what is have a firm believer in you just your side when all tell you to give up... And also, almost in my case I know how difficult is for a women with a child don't let her husband give up... We forget too many all the women behind the success of her "partners".
I will give one correction. The automobile was not “her husband’s invention”. Bertha was co-inventor. She was very involved with developing ideas and making parts for the automobile. In fact, during that trip she invented brake pads.
a horseless wagon! she was a witch! I could imagine what she had to put up with, but she had the courage to continue with a dream, a dream she didn't know what it was, but she knew her husband was creating something big.
Damn a 12 hr drive at like 9mph lol I bet it was fun and challenging and exhilarating but I bet after like a couple hours into driving this thing became a real pain in the ass (literally) haha it wasn’t a smooth ride and like having to change gears all the time. No wonder they spent 3 days visiting her mother they needed a break from the machine.
Her husband was heart broken after the machine failed to run long distance in his initial test runs... She believed in him more than anything...she had faith that his invention would take her and the kids to their destination... She set out on the journey without his knowledge and proved his hard work paid off.. And Benz patented his machine shortly after, kicking off the age of automobiles
Berangkat pagi bersama dua anaknya tanpa sepengetahuan suaminya, melewati hutan sejauh ratusan kilometer. Tekadnya sangat kuat, hanya ingin membuktikan kepada dunia bahwa karya dari suaminya sangat layak untuk digunakan secara umum. Sebuah perjalanan yang merubah kehidupan selamanya.
They added some fictional drama nonsense. Witches werent a thing anymore and i'm sure there wasnt all this negativity or hate they've displayed in the video. It was the time of industrialisation.. so people may just have thought this won't be any success.. yeah that's possible... but that's all. Nobody was in fear or in shock about it. That's just stupid nonsense and a shame for Mercedes to show it like that.
@@malena5026 there had been machines everywhere...there was railroads and totally crazy trains for many decades.. but you think they were shocked by an automobil? oh come on. No they werent. And this witch thing wasnt a thing at all back then.
Admirable women. In addition, I would like to know how the craftsman spirit of Mercedes-Benz came into being? For example, AMG-Benz, such quality, how did they make it? Do you have any related book recommendations?
The little girl's expression at the end... "Was that an AMG?" Jokes aside, it's a powerful advertisement from Mercedes-Benz that tells a brief story of its modest beginnings. Kudos to the creators of this compilation. Cheers, from an AMG G63 G-Wagon driver.
I have never heard of this woman because she is a woman. Woman are very capable and should've never been kept down but some men just can't handle this.
This is possibly the greatest car advertisement by a car maker ever. (The greatest accidental advert for a car maker in my opinion is the Pretty Polly Advert 9 out of 10 cats- an advert for stockings that is accidentally a great Jaguar advert!)
Visto molte molte e ogni volta ho i brividi Molto emozionante. Altissima qualità delle scenografie, fotografia e recitazione di tutti comprese comparse. Se facessero fare a questo regista un film o una serie tv sarebbe un successo garantito
Anyone here could help me to find the music score for this amazing advertisement? I found the producers but I can't find the track or score. The music here is powerful and amazingly emotional. Love it.
There would be no cars if she didn’t decide it was time to drive it. Carl used her money to even build it. Even if she would have crashed it would have been prove that Carls vision worked. She’s the first driver after all.
