As a radio officer over 40 years ago , I was aground once up the Orinoco river, one collision off Casablanca, found an abandoned ship in mid Atlantic. Life is boring as shit now..
This Master manoeuvred his vessel well. I think this is to offload Cargo from the aground vessel. In 2006 we had helped a gas tanker in refloating successfully. Good video.....
Looks like the Ocean Breeze is aground and several tugs are trying to haul her into deep water. I'm not sure, but the Bertina might be trying to break her free from the seabed by passing close along side using her propeller wash.
All racial comments below are really stupid and disgraceful especially in the light of latest maritime incidents where Captains were ‘ true Europeans’ . Nationality does not matter. Either Crew ( Master, Engineers and Officers ) has good education, training and experience or not. It is also unbelievable stupid to blame Master or navigating officers without really knowing the cause of grounding. Sometimes it’s attributed to main engine or steering gear failed.
Hey Galindo, do you have an email address we can use to contact you regarding this video? I'd love to discuss a license to use this if possible! Cheers, Felix
Si yo lo bi cuando la mar y el biento lo arrastro a la playa yo bibo frente donde encallo. Varquito pero si estaba nuevito dolia pensar que lo undirian le sacaron toda la carga. Y se fue
I'm not a tanker or big ass boat expert but if he has run aground why in the hell does he have his anchor down? Seems to me that if they would pick up the anchor that it might just fucking help. But like I said I'm no big ass boat expert. Tata for now. Lmao
