We now have both engines out of the Bertram. Took a little over an hour for both of them. Man they were junk!. Lots of rot but I can get a better look at where I need to go.
Please like and share to help me build my site. This is a big project for me and I want to share the good, bad, and ugly. I am sure I will make mistakes along the way.

You have a great level of confidence to take on such a project. It must be that you know how far to go to get to what's solid. What do boat motor mounts look like that will isolate the engine vibration and not fatigue the boat mounts?

Yes it is a big undertaking. As far as the vibration, the mounts usually have an isolator on them. Also where the mount bolts to the aluminum bracket, I am going to make a poly bushing to go between the mount and bracket. It’s best not to have metal on metal, even if the bushing is thin.
