Houstonians are WELL AWARE that place floods! There was some warning it was gonna hit that area. We e known this year would be worse than last season and people could have been better prepared- but somehow it’s everyone else’s fault.
After hurricane Harvey, it took less than a week to restore power to over ten million Texas residents. Hurricane Beryl left 2.6 million people without power and Centerpoint energy is saying it’s going to take them 5 to 7 days just to restore power to 1 million of them… So how is everyone enjoying DEI so far?
The reason power hasn't been restored is because Centerpoint didn't bring in extra units and repair trucks before the hurricane as they claimed. They didn't think the damage was going to be of Harvey level proportions and didn't want to contract a few million dollars worth of out-of-city and out-of-state service. It was base corporate malfeasance to save their bottom line. It doesn't have anything to do with "DEI" or whatever else you are babbling about. You are an embarrassing dunce...
If Whitmire spent as much time focusing on and preparing for recovery after this storm as he spends trolling Lina Hidalgo’s Facebook account pictures, the lights would be on for everyone by now. What a useless🤡
First, it would've been nice if your mets had forecasted 80+MPH hurricane winds throughout the entire metro of Houston. Secondly, extreme dangerous heat is a lethal cocktail and completely unacceptable that your residents are in the dark again for endless days and most likely weeks. Every time Texas gets a bad storm this happens. I live in CO. We get our share of bad blizzards, hailstorms, windstorms, you name it, but we NEVER, EVER go days and weeks without power. That simply does not happen anywhere else except Texas. When will the Houston news media truly hold all city officials accountable and responsible?
Instead of money for wars, lobbyists, defense contractors, tax breaks for the rich...why not spend a little on infrastructure? I say think twice before going to the polling booth. Or maybe pray to Jehovah?
