Something else to consider is that a lot of us still wear dress clothes to work, but also enjoy getting our sprints or jump rope in on breaks so it's not entirely about leisure but new times of form, fit and function.
My first video was the first fitting of these shoes I then found the second and you said you’d be back for the championship and for a final fit of the actual shoe I searched through but couldn’t find it. Did you do one I found it fascinating s and I might not be your target subscriber but I'd love to see the final fitting of the finished shoe.
Looking sharp there Kirby, good video, and you're literally feet from Sackville, we addicts are clucking for another K, H & L visit, we live in hope 🙏🏼 🥺
Thanks Kirby for the channel . Now we have seen several times about mens bespoke shoes What about the Ladies? It would be nice to see their side of the bespoke experience.
I think there's always room for bespoke/RTW/MTM shoes that you can wear on rough surfaces, bad weather, or for long distances. But, for God's sakes, make them look good! Cobbler Union's new Goodyear Lite line is inexcusably ugly, which really disappoints me as I like them, and I was hoping that line would be a bit more affordable but apparently not.
I hope G&G stick to what they do best and get rid of this idea. They are probably among the top 3 shoemakers in the world. Why destroy this reputation by making sneakers?! I have always thought of G&G as the “Lange” of shoemaking. While they are among the youngest out there, they are definitely among the best. Please stick to real shoes and throw away these sneakers.
I mean. That is why they are mto. Because there are some people with money. But I agree. It makes me think less of them lol. I wish I never saw this video. lol
Standard dress shoe designs (oxfords, wingtips, etc) with casual rubber (sometimes crepe) soles are found in many 1930s American shoe catalogs. The idea is certainly not new, but it is exciting to see the concept come around again!
Your slacks are all too baggy. Your coats exacerbate your slack and thin shoulders. Like a reverse triangle. I’m surprised these Taylor’s haven’t corrected that. Your shooting suit was the best fitting suit you own. Only one that actually looks tailored and not off rack.
I'm not saying you couldn't have a bespoke pair of sneakers made, as that's the essence of bespoke, but in the same way that I wouldn't commission Henry Poole to make a hoodie, I probably wouldn't get anything other than dress boots or shoes from a bespoke shoemaker. I'd even consider passing on something like driving loafers. I've considered buying nicer leather made ones but I'm still wearing cheap $30 Amazon bought drivers but otherwise I'm now wearing all leather made welted dress shoes. But since it's summer, I'm giving those shoes a rest.😂
Great video, Kirby! Your shoes are looking great! 👍 Was anybody else thinking about Derrick Guy the whole time? I'm afraid he's ruined the thought of GG for me...
20k views, so why oh why don't you guys just click on the subscribe bell. Just beats me, just one click! Well done Kirby for another fabulious episode. Thankyou
@@aeptacon When it is bespoke, it certainly is. Every man should own bespoke suits at some time in their lives, they really show you off so much better than anything that can be bought off the rack and adjusted.
Because of you I've finally gotten a decent suit. A dark grey Ted Baker, I've hired a tailor to alter it for me. Not custom but not a bad start, quick question can I wear black suede loafers with no socks? Not really sure, and if a horse is thirsty bring it to water. You my friend are the water. Also PLEASE do a small video on the importance of the Mod scene in regards to men's style .
This might be too late, but yes you can. If you can pull it off. Italians do it all the time. Don't do it with a business suit or in a business setting though.
