Agree but mongrels are awesome but some people have allergies but still want to keep a dog. So they prefer hypoallergenic breeds like poodles, Maltese etc I had a JRT for my first dog and had to be on antihistamine for 16 years until she died. So I adopted a schnauzer for my second dog.

well, there are still many owner letting go their pets. They still don't see their dog or cat as a family member. Totally different from other western country

im pretty sure that the ones who are doing this to their dogs are not the same ones complaining about the cost of money. if its anything like peru the only ones who have actual pet dogs (as in walk on leashes and dont roam) are rich or well off people who use ownership as a status. its a way of saying ¨look at me! i make so much money i can literally throw money away on a dog that serves no functional purpose to me!¨
