Hi Silvio , ( im watching 25 , 26 at least 5 times each ) the baste stitch at armhole which seam allowance is wider at shoulder point and narrow at armpit point , for what function/ result ?
The distance between 2 lines is about 2 cm, you do not have to stitch all the full circle, leave 2 cm space, it is easier to pull the thread for the next step
hello sir, I want to ask,, I have practiced the sleeve pattern that you made in the previous video, my armhole is 50cm, but when I made it according to your pattern, my armhole became 59cm, I felt the difference was too much so I had trouble when setting it or stretching it, and it still doesn't get to 50cm, so is the difference in your pattern 9cm? If so, how do I make it fit to be 50cm, in this video the difference is only 5cm, I repeatedly made the sleeve pattern your way but always a difference of 8 to 9cm,,🙏🙏
Hi, first of all, measuring armhole is difficult, always make me crazy. The ease in the video is 5 cm, in fact my experience tell me 5-7 cm is ok, I always use 7 cm in my work , it is totally fine, 9 cm is a bit more, but not too bad, check your pattern and the way you measure, if it is still 9 cm, the easy way to do alteration is , add 0.2 cm on each seam of front panel, side panel and back panel ( total 4 seams ) , so total add 0.8 cm , your new armhole become about 51 cm, and reduce 0.2 cm on your sleeve seam, there are 2 seam in the upper sleeve and 2 seams in the lower sleeve, so total reduce 0.8 cm, your new sleeve is 58 cm, now the difference between body and sleeve become 7 cm, 7 cm ease is good , no problem to set in sleeve . Hope it can help you .
@@silviochan89thank you for your answer,, I will continue to practice your pattern,, one thing that is an obstacle for me is when I have a big belly customer, I have a lot of trouble making patterns on the stomach
If you use ready to wear method to set in sleeve, 7 cm is still difficult, if you use my bespoke method ( check my video how to set in sleeve) , 7 cm ease is easy to set in , no problem at all.
