You're still charging an arm and a leg for this tool, but the manufacturing has been moved to China, and it shows. If I want to buy Chinese cr*p, which I don't, I would expect to pay peanuts, not the price of a tool manufactured in the US or Germany. Really, Bessey, by moving production to a country that doesn't care about quality, environmental standards or human rights, you lost me as a customer.

Do they say made in China on them?

@@HarveyJohnWillmott Indeed. I live above a shop that used to sell the entire Bessey range, but that's no longer the case. Some of the Bessey clamps are still made in Germany and the shop still sells them, but the "made in China" clamps are banned because of their low quality, human rights issues etc.

@@jacquesmertens3369 I recently bought some of their small one handed quick clamps and thought they were absolute tat, and sent them back. They were made in China. I think my wolfcraft ones are way better, and are truly a one handed operation. I do like the look of the more expensive bessey clamps though, they look very good. I know they also make them for festool. I have a few of the festool screw clamps.

It does give a 90 degree however, it does not pull the wood together, so if you only want to glue your wood it will not do the job just by using this. if you, for instance have a gab between the wood, there will stay a gab.

In what situation would you use just one clamp to glue a corner together without fasteners. Would you use one clamp to glue a wide piece corner together? Or even one at the top and one at the bottom, no. What about the center not being clamped without fasteners. Your point is weak.

if you still end up with a gap it will end up with a gap with any other clamp aswell, the wood is probably bent or warped.

There isn't any type of clamp that can pull the wood together. You have to push both pieces of wood towards each other. The clamp cannot do that. I do agree that this type of clamp isn't the easiest for pushing from 2 sides while at the same type applying pressure by turning the axle. For glueing I personally prefer clamps with 2 axles, allowing you to dry fit the pieces first, then apply pressure to 1 piece, apply the glue and then push the second piece against it. The first piece is already fixed, meaning the second piece can't push the first piece out. By doing so it's easier to avoid a gap.

I have these clamps and I find them to be useful. One thing that I would like to know: what is the purpose of the circular bump on the top side of the clamp, inside corner. There are very small letters that say “tube 20x3” If anyone can explain this, I would be glad to know more.
