I've always been about getting loud on a budget. No need to break the bank when they have awesome 100 to 200$ subs! I had 4 jl audio 12s in a 16 cube box ( ik way to big) but it ppunded hard on only 1200 watts! Had a skar audio 1200 my whole set up was less than 1000$ box, 2 amps , full door speakers, head unit, and subs. And out rocked hard. Sold it to buy a motorcycle and am now trying to figure out exactly what I want. I'm thinking a skar15 on a rp.1200 that may he my next setup.
I recently got these and all I can say is I’m impressed. I might hold on to these for a little while until I upgrade for some louder subs that hit harder.
Came back to this video as it has helped me towards deciding what to get for my 04' VW Wagon which i take with me to car shows being a member with the VW owners club of Milwaukee, WI. It was the last piece i needed. Running a 2ndary battery (soon to be 2 agm or lithium banks) with battery isolator, Orion XTR 750.4 ran to my front and rear component sets, CT-Sounds 1000.1D running my 10in Tropo (currently in sealed enclosure). All of that ran with the help of my Maxspeedingrods Q96 Audio/Video Reciever with its decent output voltage. At this point I'm saving up to purchase two Strato Dual 4ohm 12's in a down for sound profab box to replace the 10in when i take my daughter to some of her first stereo meets this summer. Thanks for your experiments and testing. I am very very pleased with this arrangement.
I would move up to the OZONE series, also on sale. Puts you over the $99, butt well worth it. They handle a little bit more power and have a 15mm XMAX.
I enjoy your channel , you come across real and not fake like most people. I would love Your opinion or review on the 8” Savard Hi Q. The sub’s parameters are better than most well known subs that are out there and no one I mean NO one has any thing to say negative about them after hearing them.
Parker I love your videos. FS is not frequency response, FS is free air resonance, frequency response is a range something like 25 to 400 HZ. Freer resonance is where the speaker cone starts to move excessively, it is the resonant frequency of the mechanical assembly.
A single 12" is pretty impressive in my '16 mustang. 800 watt amp with the gain way down and it rips you in the back of the seat. Mine smelled faintly of hot aluminum or glue for the first few days after pushing it moderately for 15-20 mins, but it seems to be gone now. It was still far from full excursion. After watching your video it's good to know this sub can move a lot more than the 1/4" or so of excursion I've been seeing during break-in. I thought I was damaging mine. I bought their prefab box, which is probably a bit oversized for the sub, although I don't know how to do the math for net vs gross volume (sub is rated 1 - 1.75 cu. ft., box is 2.13 cu. ft. gross). Good to know that this box will fit their entire range of subs. If I blow this thing, I'll be upgrading to the Ozone or Tropo XL.
Shytt yeah, these things are great for a budget setup, I actually had a pair of tropo 10's years ago and a pair of sundown E10's and they were absolutely identical other than color and name stamped on em! Now I have the tropo 15 and a tropo XL 12 which is a massive upgrade they're rated I believe 1krms or 1200 maybe but they have 3in coils and sound amazing even in a junk prefab Qbomb box lol I have yet to try any of their higher end woofers but I do know their amps are the truth! 💪🔊👌

Thought about grabbing 2 of the Tropo 12's. My DD 612's are dual 2....but I'd like to try these in dual 4 so I can wire to 1 ohm. How's the build quality sir?
@@zackbalins658 I couldn't be happier. I build custom enclosures so mine are in the boomier side ported and they flex both front and rear windshields on 1000 watts. Running the jp8.
@@RJSDZNS appreciate it. My enclosure is 2.15 cubes per sub tuned to 33 and running a Sundown SAZ1500. If the build quality is solid on the Tropo, I might just grab 2.
Hey Parker! I see you seem to be the best source for sub video content out of all my research. I think you should do a review on the mojo 1212 as you do not see very good content on the particular brand almost seems impossible to find 👌🏾🙃
I have these in my regular cab Silverado got them for Black Friday for $77. Apiece… I don’t regret holding out so so long for these 10’s. I paired it with the ct1500 amp..the amp is a beast also, I got it for $178 Before the speakers. The dyno results are good as well. All I can say I’ve had them for two months and they really hold up😈
I'm running a single Tropo XL 10 on a Taramps MD1200.1 and it's the first system in 20 years of car audio I've had people ask for demos in parking lots. Went from never doing a demo to doing 4 in a single week lol.
Alpine BASSlines are pretty nice, i have 2 12s i only paid about 140$ for both 12s together, and they thump off a 500watt alpine mono block! love the reviews tho, and have been wanting to look into avatars🔥
Great content. You should review Resilient Sounds. They look similar to ct sounds in a way and I hear they can take a beating. Can't wait to build a box for my gold 15.
@@derekgardin1512 no its not. a gold (289) is comparable in price to a meso (299) and an onyx (549) is cheaper than an exo (599) the vs is 149 vs the tropo at 119... and thats not lookign at ct sounds website where the sale is not as good as their amazon store.
Wish we had those brands subs.. 100 bucks for a 600w is nice budget sub. The only thing we got are cheapp ass sht 200w a 300w subwoofer thinner than a sheet of paper 🤣🤣 I really would try those in 15". Nice video 💪🏼💪🏼 keep those sub bumpinn 🎶
Those subs were slapping ! Did you see the new ozone ones they have for 39$ more ? Says spl sub little bigger and more wattage and other stuff just ordered one for my work truck lol
I use the same box on my P3 Rockford but a 12 inch. It didn't fit so I had to cut the sub a little to get it to fit. Nothing too major of a cut though. Only had 400 watts to it though. Needed more power so I sold it. Wished I would have just got a larger amp pushing more watts.
Heard some meso 8s other day being pushed by a t1500.1 rockford and they was pounding. Sound like two 12s. I wouldn't be afraid to buy any of cts stuff.
pretty high qes and qts, and pretty low vas, kinda ok xmax = probably easy to desingn for them a nasty low tuned good sounding + windy ported box, just maybe the box would be abnormally big mainly because of port's displacement - it will be really long...
Hey Parker Merry Christmas! Hey I was wondering what your thoughts were on the audiopipe amplifiers... the kind that you use to run. I'm debating on what amp to get Orion, sundown salt 3k, audiopipe. Any thoughts since you have been to a lot of car audio shows and have experience with some of those brands?

It is a solid amplifier, and does its rated power. And it has good overall sound quality. We have been sampling amplifiers from the build house that makes their amplifiers. Really good build house. No complaints.

The Audio Legion subs are great for the money. Skar has them cheap on their ebay store. Hard to beat. Sound great, and handle their rated power easily. 👍
Like what your doing Parker... Food for thought... Subs don't need boxes...Done right, they need optimum enclosures... Anyone can put a 6 sided box together...Not everyone can build a tuned enclosure Bud...lol Happy Holiday Bud..
So I need help I’ve always ran 4 ohm bridges and then I bought two Memphis 12s idk what they were but I know they weren’t mojos anyway it ran on a 1 ohm amp hardest hitting subs I’ve had. If it went with tropos should I get 2 ohm instead of 4 ohm and why.
Hay Parker next subwoofer to test try a Resilient Sounds subwoofer. You can start out with there entry level subs then go for the Gold series.
