@@ZapCristal An older but harder hidden gem that like few rpg/jrpg fans know is Rogue Galaxy for the Ps2 and its playable on PSN. Highly recommend if u ever need a game for ur hidden gems lists. Also onindie side of things is Cosmic Star Heroine that i first played early when it launched on steam but its now all over the gaming console scene. I could go on for days. But yea in terms of beauty its hard to beat Studio Ghibli, the recent hit Chained Echoes is a different kind of beautiful and I am so happy that game got the praise it deserves.
I'm not much of an RPG/JRPG person but I do know a lot of people that are. I wish I had the time and patience to get into them. I do enjoy games with RPG elements like Horizon, God of War (2018), Assassins creed, Rage etc.
Bravely default and Stella glow on the 3ds. Really straight forward rpgs on where to go and what to do but do have a bit of challenge to them. Thats always been my issue with getting into older rpgs, when it gets to the point you have to google where to go every 20 minutes i give up
@@ZapCristal but you mentioned Pokemon Arceus in the video? And you tell me you have not played the game? Btw pokemon snap they tell me is a great rpg!
@@Grind24hours I got to play a little bit of it without fully diving into it and also got to see gameplay thru my husband because we captured real time gameplay for it and discussed the list as we figured out which games would make it to the list, so I got to have enough time to add it afterwards to the list.
Great list of games makes me want to go back and play some of them. I think some really good beginner RPGs to play are the Steven Universe games Save the Light and Unleash the Light are on most of the modern systems.
Some great picks for sure! My pick for a beginner RPG would be Persona 4 Golden. Amazing characters, story, and game system. (My wife's first RPG was P3FES, but P4G is much more accessible, and better in many ways.)
@@ZapCristal you guys are great! I haven’t seen a lot of these in lists. Also, the downside is that unless the games are digital they’re so hard to find reasonably.
Yeah, so true unfortunately. That’s why I strive to make sure that my selections are accesible to any person who deems themselves more as a gamer, compared to a collector.
@@ZapCristal bless your heart, the third party market is disrespectful to people that generally missed out and want to play. It happened with comics too.
