I have these lights and after 2 months, 2 of the 3 lights leaked moisture and 1 shorted out. CaliRaised sent me a free replacement set, but before installing them I applied a coating of Flex Seal around each light where the lens meets the black backing. I just installed them again and I will see if that holds.
Did they hold up? mine just failed barely into the second month. I hope Caliraised does the right thing and sends me another set. If they do I guess i'll be putting silicone on them. Honestly they cost too much to be leaking. My old amazon set made it a year and none of them leaked they just went out.
I have mine wired in so that when you turn the vehicle on, the lights come on. I would love it if I could have it set up to pair with the DRL so they only come on when I switch those on
You can definitely tap into the wire for the drl’s for the alpharexx headlights. It’s just a wire going to a relay to make the drl’s come on. As little power as those raptor lights will draw, that setup will easily handle them.
I want amber raptors for my ‘23 Limited. I keep getting sent to the ones I had in my ‘18 Ltd. My mechanic tried to put them in But they don’t fit. so I’m looking for correct replacements. Thx.
Haha did I do that here, I do not even remember. I tied it in to the DRL of my aftermarket alpharex headlights which I talk about in that video. It is just using the INJ fuse spot and soldering the two wires together so they share the same add a fuse.
well a little past a month my cali raised raptor lights have water in them. I am disappointed they didn't even make it half the time the cheap amazon lights lasted. I am looking to contact the company so we will see next week if they stand behind their product.
Excellent video man! Currently researching how to put raptor lights into an Outback Wilderness. Your close up shots and description specifically on the wiring portion of things made this super digestible for complete noob in electrical
Awesome! I'm glad! There are a couple other few videos where I talk more about my electrical. Also find Wilderness Offroad on instagram because he has some sweet raptor lights on his outback. I'm sure he can point you in the right direction. He got some lights off amazon to install.
just depends on what turns on with the ignition vs is always on. I presume it is fine if it does that but I am not sure. Just keep the amperage on the fuses similar or lower when testing stuff to keep the electronics safe.
@@OverlandEngineer nope. I have a 2020 off road premium and the entire fuse box under the hood is pretty packed with fuses. My raptor lights came with add a fuse with two 10amps attached. I’m thinking I just need to find a fuse, remove the factory fuse and plug in the add a fuse it came with?
Radio, wipers should work also. sure try the kdss fuse and see if its hot and turns on the lights with ignition in on or accessory. worse case scenario is you blow a fuse @10Amps or less
