My best bud went to Michigan, were both from the east coast. As a 19 year old, I was not prepared for how epic an atmosphere this game produces. It was hilarious watching all the Michigan fans crying at the end of the game only to be ruined by rooftop full of naked dudes we walked by as we left the game. Ohio State owns them.

Back when Michigan was still Michigan. I realize that OSU had started beating Michigan the majority of the time beginning in 2001 but they didn't really get going in terms of dominating the rivalry until 2004. From 2004-2007 Michigan still at least looked and played like some of the really good Michigan teams where they could bulldoze opposing defenses in the run game and played a really physical brand of defense. Once they forced Lloyd Carr out, that was the end of Michigan football as we know it. Michigan was still pulling in Top 5 classes on the recruiting trail every 2-3 years and Top 10 classes almost every year when they let him go. The recruiting has gone downhill, they've whiffed repeatedly on head coaching hires and they fail to develop the players that they do bring in. My Buckeyes could rattle off another 6-7 wins easily before the game even becomes competitive again.

Hasn't been a rivalry in 20 years

Henne STILL having nightmares. I grew up 2 hrs north of Columbus, was a boy in the late 60's & HUGE fan of the Buckeyes since. Always thought UM was certainly the Darth Vader - although an awesome opponent in CF, but the swagger left them after Bo died, then they canned Gary Moeller & Loyd Carr. Those dog faced greats understood smack you in the mouth, thump you in the trenches fb... foaming at the mouth, barking up & down the sidelines - especially against OSU made THAT game electric, a must see every year... I miss the old UM teams; run-your-mouth & punk acts (before, during & after) that made you wanna stove in your TV set, competitive, punch you in the mouth, hurt you bad in the running game (J Morris, T Biakabatuka ?, others) & that (was...) ferocious D... I don't like that UM is a gimmie now - there's so few slobber-knocker hits from them, mostly whimpering and let's get this overwith and move on. Sux; they need a coach who'll chew your ass all game long &, don't come back to this side line muffing on D bruh... where are all the C. Woodsons, the D Howards the Jake Butts, the make-your-grandkiddies feel THAT hit from the secondary dudes - the dagger planters from the past ??? Their "D" these days couldn't stop a gurl scout troop selling thin mints...

In 2005 this was "The Game". Both teams were talented and well coached. Today TTUN is a poor excuse for a Big 10 team.

The talent gap between Ohio State and bama were quite obvious the last season we all played on an even playing field you know not 20+ covids to 0. Bama didn't even have cases when their coach got it. But the even steven year OSU was cheated out of a playoff victory and bama didn't make it conference championship game and lost to an auburn team that lost to 2 big ten teams in a years time. Remember that talent gap?

3 things here. On 3rd and 10 in the second to last drive Troy Smith gets 14 and on the sideline trippin'? Charles Woodson with his arms out. On the touchdown Santonio Holmes dives before the endzone yet the call an unsportsmanlike foul which was absolutely petty call. And the last drive was a killer that affected this rivalry all the way up to today. Go Bucks!

Michigan hasn't been the same since they poached Rich Rod. Harbaugh has been a complete failure. They can't recruit enough top talent anymore at the skill positions:( It was a great run, starting with that 1969 big upset:))
