Agadir isn't a new city it's the major beach city in Morocco, the second most touristic city in Morocco, and it's a 3000 year old city founded by the Phoenicians. The problem with the city is earthquakes, it went through major ones, the last one was in 1960 and almost whipped every living soul (+15000 died). But now it's going through a major upgrade with plans to make it a major hub not only for tourism but also technology and business (it's the biggest hub for agriculture in Morocco, one of the most important citrus and tomatoes exporting regions in the world).
Amazing that you have connected with the city too John! I think you’d enjoy my video on TAROUDANT too! Check it out and would love it if you could subscribe!!
Thank you Megan! Great for a honeymoon, we met honeymooners while there. It's great as you have the beach and all the pools, food etc but then you can also easily book onto the excursions with TUI at the hotel. I have two other Morocco videos where I show you some of the excursions you can do. Also you get 5 star accommodation and all that goes with it for super value, given the exchange rate. We would have happily stayed 10 nights as there was more we could have done (we stayed 7). Regardless, I hope you have a fantastic honeymoon!! X
I’m actually visually impaired, but enjoyed your video very much. I think I will go in November, how far is it from Agadir airport? And I know you probably can’t disclose but I wonder how much it cost:)
Thank you very much for your kind words. The hotel in Taghazout is about 40 minutes from Agadir airport. We got a great deal as we booked off season, I think a week with flights was less than 1k each, all inclusive with TUI. Hope you go and have a brilliant time xx
Hi Kiera. We had to get a PCR test within 48 hours of departure when going there and showed proof of vaccination. Coming back to UK we didn’t have to do anything. I hope that helps!! X
Thanks for your comment! I was there in May and loved it. June is still a good time to go before it gets excessively hot in July and August. We loved the hotel with its varied dining options, modern rooms, 7 pools, adults only sections and beautiful decor. We will definitely be going back and you’re in for a treat 😅
@@CarolineBockPresenter thanks for the reply! Yeah I can’t wait the hotel looks stunning, good to hear positive feedback all round especially for the food & drinks.
I’ll be honest, I did not see any gluten free designated sections of the buffet but they must be used to having coeliac guests or those with intolerances. It may be that have to speak with them beforehand but I agree that’s something they really need to be delivering on. I would contact them beforehand.
