Exactly. The first version of the APX was terrible if we're honest (which may be why). To Beretta's credit, they took feedback and reworked it into the best value out there right now imo. Heck, Beretta is running a $100 rebate on them right now and you can pick up any model (regular, tactical) pretty much for ~$300....that's insane.

My collection, 92FS inox, handed down from dad, it's a first gen American ghost model. M9a3 with toni/beretta parts to make a semi race gun/Roland special. Apx full size with a second grip module set up for racing, and the safety module on the way. Apx centurion, with compact grip module And apx a1 tactical, with venom red dot, and a small micro comp. I would give my left**** to get my hands on and apx target, full size, standard with grey chassis, 5inch barrel with fiber target sight, and optic cut. I would like to get my hands on a 92x performance, the og without an optic cut And one of these squalos. That is a beautiful gun. I don't like to start anything, in regards to sig, as the 226 was just as good as the 92, but the apx is much better than the 320, and IMO beretta is a much better and finer company than sig will ever be.

Sao is nice. I was wondering why they have the frame mounted safety. It’s like the original 92 in the late 70s early 80s. Designed to be carried cocked and locked with safety on. The only problem with the old 92 back then is it the mag release on the bottom of the gun, it was a pain to drop mag and keep running. This is nice.

I own the 92XI and from my experience, I don't like the frame mounted safety on the 92-series. The safety they created is big, but slippery. It doesn't disengage as positive as a 1911. It gets in the way when I'm trying to rack the slide. I much prefer the safety/decocker on the slide.

I carried a 92F as a uniformed duty handgun for several years and it stayed in my trunk as a backup when I went to plainclothes duty. I still have it, the finish is well worn, it's my favorite 9mm range gun and due to the current hurricane emergency we are experiencing, it will be my daily carry gun until things get back to normal. I normally carry a S&W Model 3914 DAO (8+1). But in situations where unusual things can happen, I like the 15 +1 capacity of the 92F. It's a bit large for EDC concealed carry in summer clothes in Florida. I'll stick with the one I have, but you can't go wrong with a Beretta 92 series handgun.

Good video thanks! Was very interested in this release except the price. I thinks it's a fine value as the grips, mag well, extended mag base pads, and extended takedown lever make it worth it for the price. I found a 92XI tactical for sub 800 plus a 100 rebate. So nearly 600 less and I got the lok palmswell grips and can pick up the extended takedown lever for 50 to 75 from Beretta. So I ended up with essentially a Sqaulo with a threaded barrel grips I prefer and 400 bucks in my pocket. If I got extended base pads I would still be 250 ahead. Be well sir!

@TheFirearmGuy as far as newer guns it's been my favorite this year. Even over the shadow compact. I am excited for the Echelon comp.

I'm 68 and have been a gun nut forever. I can't explain why but I've never desired a Beretta 92. They're great- they wouldn't have been military issue for so long otherwise. But for my tastes they've never interested me. I'm as baffled as anyone by that. Maybe because I've never shot one or even seen one at a range, ever. Who knows, but if you like them go for it!

There’s a reason why the US Military dumped Beretta.

Waiting over a year for my full rebate on my Beretta APX A1 tactical left a bad taste in my mouth for Beretta. If I was going to buy another 92 I would just buy one directly from LTT prefer double/single action trigger.

Beautiful handgun, with those sexy Italian model 92 curves and lines. A worthy competitor to the classic 1911 lines of the 2011 double stacks!

I just let my 92FS go and got ripped off, but I needed the money. I purchased a Dan Wesson DWX Compact. I will get another up graded 92 later. Maybe. I don’t think I’ll need any other 9mm after getting my S2C and DWXc.

It would have looked better without the magwell. Really not a fan of magwells on pistols.

It's expensive similar to a Sig 226. I've seen it for high$900s. Funny how people think this is over priced but pay $600+ for a cheap to mfg. Glock or similar. While I don't have this model I have/had many different Beretta 92 platform as well as other comparable brands and many polymer guns. I'll stick with these if I had to pick.
