Im using Adlock works great on everything i tested it on, witch is M1 Macbook air, Android 12 phone and Windows 10 desktop. I used to use AdGuard and it worked fine, but it being made in Russia i don't feel comfortable using it anymore.
Adblock is the only ad blocker that's mentioned in this video that blocks ads (on RU-vid anyway). I tried all the other ones on my MacBook Pro and none of those worked. Unfortunately, while Adblock still works, RU-vid blocks video playback if you have it installed (I had it installed and had to uninstall it due to the stupid ad block ban from RU-vid). I had to switch to a different ad blocker due to RU-vid's dumbass ad block ban.
adguard has become a cpu hungry app...like never before. Since last safari update it has turned my Mac into an air craft by the sound the fans make randomly. Something that wasn't happening 2 years ago. Slow loading on safari, some ads sliding into my YT for the first time,,,a total mess. Developers are listening and hopefully we get an update soon
The other day there will be a new video of "Best Adblockers For Safari". There will be add-ons for easier. Maybe not so effective, but much less requirement to hardware and faster. Additionally, you may need to clean your device with the replacement of the thermopaste.
Clear your browser data cache first. There are many possible reasons. Replaced DNS, viruses, cookies, other software... The most reliable and efficient way is to reinstall the OS...
