Dont listen to the haters bro. I greatly appreciate this video. Taking the time to test all and provide your thoughts and insight saved me a lot of time. Thank you!
If you enjoyed this review, please click the thumbs-up button and please comment and let me know what I should review next. I've already received some requests, such as finding the best landing page builder. These reviews take a lot of time, so I want to create one that you all enjoy.
Thanks for saving me time looking into these products. I'm building out a presentation from text-based content and was hoping there was a tool that could help.
I think people are trying to cut WAY too much work out of the process. Here's a more realistic workflow to use AI to create very solid presentations: 1. What are you trying to present? Type out some ideas in a text editor. (Topic, Title, Goals, etc.) 2. Get a solid outline: Take ideas from the prior step to ChatGPT (or your favorite tool). Tell it that you want to build the outline of a presentation. Tell it what you wrote down. Tell it to ask you what other information would be helpful. 3. Ask ChatGPT to build an outline for your presentation with each slide title in Headings and all of the text for each slide in bullets. Ask it to type a recommendation for a graphic or image at the end of each page. 4. Create a Word/Google Document with this outline. 5. Import it into one of the tools mentioned in the video to create deck. 6. Use the image prompts to build a graphic for each slide. This won't take 90 seconds to do. It might take 20 minutes. But you get a pretty usable starting point for a deck in 20 minutes.
Thank you. It confirms my thoughts. I'm sick and tired of companies or influencers claiming the best tool out there, all of them I tried have limitations, haven't tried the paid ones yet
Excellent analysis, which provides an independent, realistic and based in true evaluations. Really appreciate, as the vast majority of tool analysis create unreal expectations. Because have been made just reading a summary of the features written by the tool provider or even worse: because they are making money from them while selling independentxy. Congrats I have intensively been using Decktopus, Gamma, Tome, AIPlus, Beautiful AI, Wepik, Slidebean, Presentations AI, Slides AI, Simplified and SendSteps. For most of them, I even subscribed to Pro for a month. Moreover: I paid a 1 year to Decktopus before discovered that it is not possible to export to editable slides Making presentations takes me over 50% of my time at work. Making them engaging clear and disruptive was a complete time consumer That's why I have dedicated a huge effort and money trying to find a tool that could allow me centring on the knowledge (providing the outline, a full document, some URL to reliable content and, of course, reviewing what the AI tool generated for me, My requirements and expectations were very basic. You should be aware that what you get is just an initial draft which needs review and further improvement actions. But such draft is a really valuable starting point, as avoids you from procrastinating, generates content very concrete (concretion is extremely brain-consuming) , it provides you proposals of designs and an a quite numerous templates library to use instead,. Also generates automatically icons and images for you based on the content. And they are in most cases of your property (no more illegally reusing images found at Google.) But... I feel very frustrated today. None of the tools provides the most basic requirements you expect for such tools. Repetitive design, excessive text, long paragraphs, using an immature LMS which simply hallucinates, not able even to write something consistent for massively used topics released after mid-2021, unability to export to Power Point or export the slides as no editable images, ignoring the input provided or just copy pasting full paragraphs... very disappointed and surprised Only interesting things I have definitely found very useful: - images in Wepik. Extremely accurate and consistent. - including quizs or brainstorming within Powepoint with SendSteps -imoort a basic presentation with bullets to Beautiful.ai and (sometimes) reuse 60% of the slides design In the end, I am using CharGPT Plus for content generation, which does what I expected with progressively more accurate. I prompt it to generate the content in bullets and in slides with a title each. Then, Wepik for images and icons (love them) or embedded Dall-E-3 if I want to generate something very specific I know it is rare to be in a library Then, copy the ChatGPT generated text to a Word, make some section's arrangement and import it as an Outline to Powepoint. I always try the Slide Designer included in Powepoint, which most of the time generates something acceptable(but based on SmarttArt which looks Old, boring and not disruptive at all) Sometimes I make a try with Beautiful.ai. And take the idea I most like from each alternative. My final thoughts: all these newly created companies taking advantage of the power of Generative AI had a huge opportunity to create a loyal market. Moreover, they even could transform the boring way we create presentations due to the Powepoint trapping. But none of them have been able to provide significant cost-reduction, value generation and zero gane chargers. Copilot will probably kill all them. And Microsoft will be for another 10 years the one deciding how presentations are buil and designed world wide Other AI-based solutions are absolutely cost saving, disruptive and suporting business strategy achievements. Those will be the ones that will survive in one year time My 2 cents
You just saved me a lot of time. I don't want to see myself in a rush or getting frustrated over bad results. I better go to the old way of doing presentations for the time being haha uwu
This is a great review. Do you have an updated review now that we're in mid 2024? Curious as to what has improved with the options you've already reviewed AND if anything new has been released since. I'm looking for presentations for workshops based on somatic practices, life coaching, and all around personal development.
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. I haven't updated this video yet. Currently busy working on email marketing tools related tutorials/reviews. You can subscribe to my email list and I'll let you know if I have an update. creatoregg.com/newsletter
Thanks for making this, I tried to use a few of these and wanted to see if I was doing something wrong or could get it to work better. Turns out I just can't.
It's been a year now, would love to see an update to this video. Especially looking at situations where I already have the content (slide headings and bullet points already). I just need to generate the entire presentation and create appropriate and relevant supporting images
Seems like you're focusing on the generative content (copy/text) more than the visual, execution, customisation and the overall future improvement of the products. I believe some tools are horrible but they are evolving. Keen to find out which one actually has the potential to go further.
True. It's because many of these tools offer such a feature where you can import a document or text which will then output a presentation. As of now, I haven't found an AI presentation tool that does a great job at this. I'll test it again in the future, though!
What a helpful review, and just the right amount of humour, too. Thank you, @CreaterEgg. My experience has been identical to yours - one of (mostly) disappointment. Subscribed...
Thanks for taking the effort to try so many AI ppt tools. Your verdict is quite the same of my personal experience. A lot of hype but little usefulness. I guess we just have to wait a while longer.
Amazing video, very clear on what to expect! However, I wonder if there is any tool that might integrate image and/or text generation with easy to use boxes, so that one can quickly edit the structure and correct the generated ideas (?
Good question hihi. The bottom line of this video is that at the moment there are no great AI presentation makers. But if you're looking for just a great presentation builder in general I created another video on that topic. The bottom line of that video is that Beautiful AI is pretty good, or Pitch, or Google slides/powerpoint. See: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObNCyQOyp14.htmlsi=B-_Qyx_AQrnbJC92&t=1514.
All I want is an AI that takes a document I already have perfectly curated, and organizes the text in to a Presentation format. Every one I have seen takes my text I input, and rewrites it - I dont want anything rewritten. Any insights?
I perfectly understand what you mean. I don't think any of the ai presentation tools can do this but I do think you might be able to do this with ChatGPT 4.0. You can upload files in the chat and you can ask ChatGPT to organize the text into sheets content. You can here also ask to NOT alter/rewrite your content. You still have to copy paste and paste it into a spreadsheet tool but this might be able to save you some time by doing this manually.
I have the following question. I need to create several talks about different cities around the world - what you can see and do there. So, I want a software that can create presentations based on a model/template that I provide and adds speaker notes, including information such as price/opening hours if it applies, etc. and one photo for each slide. Again, based on the template that I provide. Any ideas?
That's a very specific usecase. Out of the tools I've tested in this video there weren't any that were any good in terms of creating presentations based on prompts. You probably best of by using ChatGPT 4.0 for creating the format for such a presentation and then copy paste that into a Presentation.
Thank for information. which are top 3 AI - for presentation. Is there any, where we can upload exiting complete PPT and AI further improve atomatically.
Most of these presentation makers offer the option for ppt import. But the bottom line of the video is that the AI presentation makers aren't that good yet... Im most excited for Powerpoint co pilot but it's only available for enterprise companies at the moment. Here's the latest news from sep 21: blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2023/09/21/announcing-microsoft-copilot-your-everyday-ai-companion/
@@creatoregg thank you for the quick answer, the idea is for AL to generate interesting backgrounds for the text I prepared. I make presentations about telemedicine, i will see google and powerpoint
@@dariusz5524 ah i think i know what you mean. You basically want to create AI images by using a text prompt and use those images for your slide backgrounds? Try using app.leonardo.ai/ for example for those images and just copy and paste those images in a tool like Google Slides will do the trick...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. At 2:20 I uploaded my entire 4,400 word document about email marketing into an AI presentation tool (which can be considered 'my input') - still, the output is far from great.
why dont you only show the ones that work, that are the best, not the bad ones. I spend time watching your clip (like you channel), and its a waste if you tell me whats not working. thx.
Thanks for sharing. What do you like about them because I suggested avoiding them in my 'best presentation software' video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObNCyQOyp14.html. Also, when searching for your name in Google I saw the exact name to be the Junior Digital Marketing Specialist at Decktopus. What a coincidence. 😅
im pretty sure no one is expecting the AI to create an entinre presentation with just one promnt. The point of this new AI based tools is to helps up create more appelaing presentations so this was a very dumb review.
Although I find your language disrespectful by calling my review "very dumb", I will still take the time to answer you. For starters, my review doesn't only mention the text-to-presentation feature (7:29) you're talking about; it also covers other features such as converting a text document to a presentation (1:20) or text-to-slide features (9:25). And although you say, "no one is expecting the AI to create an entire presentation with just one prompt," there are tools that offer/promote THAT EXACT feature (see 8:22). Therefore, I'm testing it.
Thanks for giving me your thoughts. These videos aim to give information, not necessarily entertain. If you have specific suggestions on how to make them more engaging without skimping on the info, I'd love to hear them.
That commenter was rude, however, I think it stems from your divergence from the “popular” way of presenting yourself. I found this video quite helpful. Yet, you could stand to be a tad more emotive if you want to garner better retention. Please don’t go all the way into the zoomer influencer archetype that is truly insufferable at least to me, but add a little of that like adding salt to a meal.
