I can see why someone would like this more than Aiologs in terms of feel. The Aiologs tension is more rounded because of the plunger ball bearings. I don't know why there aren't more sequential shifters using magnets. They feel great in paddle shifters.
Very kind of you to give it away, that's awesome. I wanted to get that shifter few months ago but I watched 1 review and it was pretty negative. I may reconsider buying this shifter so thanks for the review.
What was the negativity about? The unit seems very manageable. It's rough around the edges (literally) but that's easily remedied with some sandpaper or a file. ;)
I've been eyeing one of these for months now! I bought one of those Aliexpress H-shifters a few months back and I love it, and I wanna add a sequential to my rig. I'm not gonna enter the giveaway though, because there are definitely people out there who need it more than I do :)
@@DouglasThompson I switched from my old TH8A to the Aliexpress one and it's not even a comparison. The TH8A just feels like the shift knob is floating
@@DouglasThompson Yeah. I bought my TH8A like 4 years ago for literally half what they sell it for now, and back then it was steep. I can't believe they've almost doubled the price without making it any better. I could probably sell mine for a profit if I wanted to

this would be so sick. I've had my G27 for a few years and recently been playing a ton of dirt rally, so a sequential would be really great over using h pattern on all the cars lol

Great video, man! This is definitely a product I've been looking at for the setup I'm dreaming of. Currently I'm rocking a Thrusmaster T150 that I got just before the launch of Gran Turismo Sport which replaced the Driving Force GT that I had for ages. I designed and built myself a PVC wheel stand shortly after I got the T150 I am hoping to get the ball rolling on building a mid/high end rig soon and winning the giveaway would get me one step closer to the setup I've been dreaming of!
I’m in the market for a seq shifter. I’m a bit different than most of your people as I’m legally blind and Really miss driving! I kinda went overboard on the rig as I dint havevto pay for a car, insurance or gas lol. I don’t even have a ftreaking clutch yet ha ha. But I know sep shifter is needed. So I woukd def use it. I have a CSL DD, F1 wheel. (So far) and BJ Sim Pedals in a custom colored RSeat B1 and cheap 32” hd tv ugh. Love your “keep it real” videos!
Nice man! Sim racing is great in that way because once you get your seated position you don't have to strain to adjust your eyes. The screen kind of does that for you. :) Send me a picture of your setup to my email. Link is in the description.
I have had many requests to finish that video up. Only reason I haven't finished it is because I have been messing with the tuning. I have it where I like it on my favorite game now I am working with the others.

I hope to get one of these soon (or possibly win this one if noone has yet lol), currently just rocking a Thrustmaster TMX, but I've got a complete parts list and im working on 3d modeling a few parts to convert it to a quick disconnect Formula Style wheel when I can afford to do so, and gonna use the OG wheel for rally/drift until I can upgrade.

Great video man! I plan on maybe buying a shifter from AliExpress or eBay. Would you say that the overall sequential shifting experience with this one was better than with the Fanatec QS shifte in sequential mode? Can you recommend any other h-pattern and sequential combo shifter on AliExpress? Ive seen the h pattern one on your channel and that one look interesting too. Thanks in advance! Cheers

I have no experience with the vnm shifter but judging by its looks it doesn't look as robust as The fanatic shifter so if you're looking to get a h pattern and a sequential all-in-one fanatic is definitely the easy choice.

I'm sure AliExpress will ship anywhere if thats what youre asking. I was speaking about the giveaway saying if you are international I will be less inclined to ship out due to the extra expense and stress associated with international shipping. Lol

Cool, I see other people have had positive experiences with it. I was almost considering it. But the reviews on the site it was available were really not good. A few said that after a few months of use it just died. The internals are super spartan, so I guess if you are a DIY electronics person you could probably fix it. Im not that guy sadly.
I think as with most things that have very little qc, the risk of having it not last or maybe even work straight out the box would be high but I think AliExpress would send another one if it broke in a certain amount of time but of course you would have to wait like another month...lol
Hello, I have this same shifter and in terms of construction and feel it is great, the problem is when I use it with assetto corsa and I try to configure it in content manager because it only lets me use it through bind with the keyboard and when I press to change gears sometimes it works and other times it doesn't and this is very annoying because it causes you to force errors and it is not precise, it is only in assetto corsa, I don't know what I am configuring wrong or if the vehicle necessarily has to have a box sequential, since I tried playing Richard Burns Rally and magically the lever works perfect! but not this perfect in assetto, anyone who has had the same problem? 😊

I play a ton of dirt rally 2.0 and currently have no sequential shifter and my hand brake is a modded t16000 joystick. Would love to join the giveaway if it’s still on

don t buy that....take a month or two to get enough money to buy the simjack sequential shifter....bought this one 3month ago and didn t like the noise and the feeling....so i cheked a lot of reviews and get the simjack onee......the diffrence is huuuuuuggggeeeeee....incredibly good for 30 bucks more....so don t waste your money on this one
@@DouglasThompson Not very strong? daaaymmnn im porbably just too weak, I just got this shifter after watching your video and I thought it was too hard i was planning to adjust it so I can shift it easily. Everytime I shift It raises my Alu rig(half cockpit)
If I only knew at the very start that Simming will be quite expensive in the long run.. haha only had half the cockpit and no I cant hard mount it, maybe ill just lay some weights
