If you have a V8 truck, that AT4W is going to be even better than the 3s when it comes to cornering stability. Just don’t think I would want to sacrifice having more weight on all four corners and slightly less rain performance than the lighter AT3Ws. But to have that more rugged look of the new 4s,,,, tough decision man.
@@spawndog71 I agree. In my experience, I been owning my first Toyo - open country at3 215/70/16 on my 2015 lifted Scion xB for almost 3 years. These all terrain tires are amazing for dry performance, gives my vehicle a great handling. And even during the rain, I was blown away how it handle so well. In snow, it was very very good. Now it’s not the best compare to winter tires but it gets the job well done. I never go off-road before, mostly dirt road. But maybe one day. To me, the all terrain tires are very well and a must buy for all weathers ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Can't say I agree with all of these. I use the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T and have used the BFG KO2's, both of these tires should be on this list. These are top tier tires which any vehicle can use since they have varying tires sizes for all types.
Using Toyo AT Open country in all conditions but snow, toured Australia extensively and not a puncture about to replace for next trip into the Simpson, cannot complain.
You lost credibility when you talked about the BFG Trail-Terrain but mixed in photos of the BFG KO2 which is totally different. And no mention of the KO2 itself ???
I love how these videos never keep on the certain type of tire and randomly show different tires when they're talking about one it leaves people more confused the only true one on this video that actually works everywhere is the Falcon wild Peak and it's the only one on here that stayed on track of talking about it as it showed the tread
I have multiple issues with this video. First when you are talking about a certain tire don't be showing videos of a different tire!!! You did it with more than one. Which brings me to my second issue is when you were talking about the GoodYear Trail Terrain you showed tread pictures of the BFG KO2 which should have been on this list. Also I'd take the Micky Thompson Baja Boss AT over all the tires on this list and the continental should even be on this list. Pretty much a waste of 9-1/2 mins of my life.
I was not impressed with the Cooper tires, but the Continental Terrain Contact A/T worked so well (particularly in the rain), that I am on my second set, and they had no trouble going over 60,000 miles. Cheers, Tony
My Explorer ST came with 275/45 21 Pirelli Scorpion Zero all-terrain tires that now have 22,000 and have worked well. Just trying to decide if there is something I would like better for it. Would like to see how they compare with the UHP all-season tires in rain & light snow?
i have the Falken Wildpeak AT3W and i love it, i live in Canada and we get a lot of snow and has never skipped a beat, plus off road it performs well as well, best AT tire ive ever had so far
I hear people that have used KO2s for many years saying they are not as good as they used to be. And for that reason I ruled them out as an option for my next set. I just ordered a set of 5 Toyo AT3s.
I'm pretty confident the Cooper Discover AT3 has been discontinued in the non LT rated tires. I could be wrong, but I would research this prior to purchasing a set.
@@JosephManOfGod My Falkens ride was very smooth. Honestly the Falkens are a little heavy but my mileage difference less than a 1mpg compared to stock.
I have 35s on my bronco and they’re Goodyear factory tires. I would like a recommendation on a mud and snow tire that’s an every day driver and might be quieter on the open road.
65k on my BFG KO2s and tons of tread left. Those coopers are trash. Super noisy and wear out quickly. Heard really great things about the Falkens. I’ve run most of these tires at some point, and while the Toyos, Nittos, and Destinations were excellent, the BFGs are in another league. My boss got 113k out of the set on his Canyon.
Finding a good all weather tire in a 225/70r15 is a tuff find. My cooper discoverer cracked between the treds after 4 years they are barely warn. Terrible traction in the alberta winters especially on hardpack and ice on my subaru forester.
I didn't see but a couple of these suggestions, that had edge cleats, and only one where the cleats were big enough to actually get a bite, not to mention the tire having voids big enough to expel mud. If you tried to go off-road with any of the other tires on this list around here, even if it was dry, you would be wishing you had better tires. Most of these were just glorified street tires with reinforced sidewalls, other than that they were just as slick as could be.
I have the wild peaks load range E and a ram eco diesel and I hate them way to rough of a ride for me, Unless you are doing some heavy towing or some heavy off soaring the E load range on a 1500 is super rough
I have used most of these and a few others. I run a Ford 150 short box reg cab. I live in mn. The Toyo is crap in snow! The best so far on my 21 f150 has been the original spider by pirelli. 65000 mi on 1st set.
Seems odd you have not included the 2024 Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tyres. They are the most modern of all and have excellent ratings for fuel consumption, wet handling and off road. I.e. the Bridgestones have C label for fuel consumption, Yokohama Geolanders GO15 an E rating, which means I would not even consider them with nowaday's fuel prices. The latest tyre models are just better, due to advanced technology and material usage.
I have a '06 4x4 Dodge mega cab,, & often pull 5T of stone in a HD dual-axle box trailer. I also need to pull a 35' camper in all conditions,,,, wind rain & Snow. NO MENTION OF PLYS,,, & NO MENTION OF LOAD RANGE! What are the traction ratings? AND, where were these tires manufactured!!? SLOW BOAT from China, or USA? I just wasted 9 min.
I've ran the Coopers, Falkens and BFG KO's. Right now I have the Cooper AT2 XLT. They are wearing a bit fast and will get changed at the end of the summer. My next ones? Falken Wildpeaks. I've run at least three sets of KOs and sorry guys, they are way down and off the list for me. Why? Fast tread wear, poor cleaning out on snow and mud, fine on sand.
I had been debating whether to try the Falken Wild Peak AT3W (cheaper option), or the Toyo AT3. I currently run the Toyo AT2. About 2 hours before watching this I ordered a set of 5 Toyo AT3s. Interesting video, but I found the voice over very annoying and patronising. PS - I'm in Western Australia.
@@BC_Hunter Good choice I think! I too almost went for the (cheaper) Wildpeak. I figured some of the extra weight was in the thicker side wall protection, and I had side wall damage (although minor) on the AT2s. But then I watch (another) video review of the Wildpeak and the owner too had sidewall damage and flat - a wood spike puncture above the area that has the thicker wall protection, so the thicker wall hadn't helped at all. So I thought - that's it! And I went for the AT3s instead - set of 5 as I went from 65 profile to 70. Early days still, but mostly very happy so far. They are slightly louder than the AT2s on the freeway - but perhaps I'm listening more?? Ask me again in a few months 🤣.
@@BC_Hunter Sorry for the slow reply. So far I have no idea how they handle in the wet! 🤣 I'm in Perth, Western Australia. Its Autumn here (its been around 26C to 29C last couple of weeks) and we 'officially' begin winter on 1 June. We've had some of the hottest and driest few months (since last November) on record - and I've forgotten what rain looks like - but the forecast on tonight's news said we might get 5 days of showers next week!! So I may get to find out soon. However - the AT2s were very good in the wet (but I don't drive hard).
@@BC_Hunterthey handle well on wet grounds. I ran at3s on my Silverado and liked them so much I am going to get a new set. Just make sure you balance and rotate as recommended to assure proper even wear and to guarantee you get full life of fire .
I own a 2015 lifted Scion xB. My first choice for all terrain tires. Toyo - open country AT3 with P-metric tires of 65k. In my3 years of owning this amazing all terrain tires. I never go off-road, only on-road. But lemme tell u, this is one hell of a tires that wonMt disappoints u. This gives me great confidence for weather. Now I will point out thar it’s not the best tires as winter tires, but it definitely was close enough for me and gets the job done. As for wet performance in rain, and dry performance. These all terrain tires gives a much better handling than I thought. Still got a lot of life to it. But when they about to wear our soon, I’ll definitely buy another set. Their 215/70/16. Fits well. For lifted xB. 2” lift front and 2.5” lift rear. But I’m gonna go either 235/70/16 or 235/65/16. Either way. Toyo - open country AT3 ALL DAY!!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It is obvious you dont drive in deep mud or snow because if you did you would know these tires would leave you stuck as they suck for any application off of the pavement.
This list is seriously flawed. Leaving the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT off this list is a joke That is probably THE BEST all around AT tire on the market KO2 is a seriously solid tire as well... TRY AGAIN
Definitely Toyo - Open country AT3. While driving in the rain, these all terrain tires are such an amazing capability to handle well. No slip when take off, or slip, still remains great handling for what it is. In my 3 years experience.
@@toyotabrony I have a '06 Dodge mega cab,, & often pull 5T of stone in a HD dual-axle box trailer. NO MENTION OF PLYS,,, & NO MENTION OF LOAD RANGE! I just wasted 9 min.

You really need to get it together buddy.. showing tires that don't even relate to the one you're reviewing.. and the ones that you were showing that are not on your review are far better tires. Don't think I'll be a subscriber.
