Yeah that's definitely reasonable. That way there's no punk group eating for like 4 hours having fun and forcing people to wait outside for like an extra two hours. Plus you can be full just eating only for like 40-60 min. And another hour to talk and enjoy!

Keith Costin it's all about consistency. I doubt he eats like this everyday, plus his food choices are borderline healthy I mean right here he's just consuming some saturated fat through the beef other than that it's all protein and all grilled not fried.
You can't work out enough to work off eating like that. Mike is probably like a lot of competitive eaters, in that he eats like this only for the camera. I'm guessing his normal, every-day diet is pretty spartan.
I watched this video like idr when, but then I went to this place and completely forgot about this video! I watched it again because the thumbnail was similar. The Dallas area has this place too, and it’s just as good as he described. I missed out on some of his advice because we only went because my boyfriend and I stumbled upon it in the area and we were hungry. But super great super friendly, and really awesome service and food. Plus the atmosphere was great. They also do half orders if you just want to try things.

I'm korean and have always considered myself as a "bbq expert". And I gotta say Mikey knows exactly how to enjoy korean bbq. You guys can trust him at least when it comes to eating korean bbq. I can approve that. And so when you have a chance to have kbbq next time, just remind the way he eats in this video or watch it quick. That'll help as hell when you take advantage of your kbbq as much as you can.

Did you hear that they're opening a Chinese themed Casino in Vegas in December and that it's going to have authentic Chinese food? I'm definitely checking that out the next time I am out there.

I absolutely love watching you enjoy your food! I know this is the only chance that I'll ever have of seeing these places and the assortment of foods that you get to eat. It's like we're actually sitting across from you, you're eating and we're starving which is the only downside. I've tried Korean BBQ in Melbourne Australia and it was to die for, it was only a small place so if it's half as good as what you had today then I'm totally jealous, actually I am totally jealous 😉 I really wish I could try everything you show us, mostly😬, it would be an amazing experience but luck would have me watching you enjoy yourself and so you should😊 keep eating and I'll keep drooling 😀Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! 👍

Do you live in the Bay Area now? I live in SF, and finally, a restaurant I can try! This place looks great. My boyfriend and I usually wait until we are in LA for Korean BBQ, but we'll have to check this out.
Emily Nelson Gen in San Jose is also pretty awful in terms of kbbq.. The meat quality is pretty bad. Yeah it's all you can eat, but when you don't Want to eat it because it's so tough/chewy it's not worth it.
Thi Phan interesting.we just drove out to San Jose from SF to try it, but there was a 4 hour wait! F that. We ended up getting some mediocre ramen. Gen has great reviews, and it smells great inside, but it makes sense that their meat may not be the best quality. How else would they make money on a $21 all you can eat?
Emily Nelson really amazing authentic Ramen in San Jose - Kotetsu! Skip orenchi imo. It's not worth the wait. Amazing ayce hotpot in Fremont - little dipper shabu shabu! And they do individual pots. If you want kbbq that's Really good quality (but isn't ayce), try doni don and Han Sung. You'll end up REALLY full for about 60 for three people. I'm more of a quality over quantity person though and my family and I don't eat as much as him :) I've found that people that Love Gen haven't tried really Good kbbq before and are really into "getting their money's worth", but I'm not willing to waste the time, effort, money, or calories for a meal that isn't spectacular.

We just got one of these in our area and it absolutely destroys all the competition. Tons more meat you actually want, ultra-fast service, and cheaper than anyone else.
Mikey you should try Qpot in east side San Jose! It's way better then Gen and it's all you can eat Korean BBQ and hot pot all in one! HMU we should go sometime!!!
Make one yourself. Pretty much all the ingredients can be bought in an asian grocery store though I have to agree that germany isn't exactly an adventurous country when it comes to foreign food.
I think it is. Maybe not Korean. But Chinese, India, Japanese, Mexican, Mongolia, Italian and many more. But I speak for a smaller city. I bet there are many more in Hamburg :')
Tora Chan The level of food diversity and authencity is low in Germany. Countries like Thailand, Japan, America where I travelled to are miles above Germany.

Every time I see you eating all that delicious food I can't help salivating. Your videos are awesome and I as a food junkie really enjoy seeing others enjoying their delicacies. For me it's "only" simmered pork ribs tonight in a liquor of broth, bay leaves, juniper berries, pepper, chives, scallions, garlic and onion. The plan is, after they're really soft and almost falling of the bones, to baste them in a home made concoction and roast them in the oven. A proven track record has shown though that they don't always get as far as that. Keep up the great work, you've made me a new subscriber. :)
Hi, a local here to talk about this place. This place looks like it's the one in San Jose by Hostetter and Lundy (By Ranch 99). And this is definitely the spot to go when you are extremely hungry and love a good Korean BBQ. It only opened about a year or two ago, but this place is great for food and social and is the place to go for special occasions. If you can't diet or are a vegan, I would suggest you avoid the place like the plague.
I'm sorry but Gen is like the McDonald's of KBBQs. It's a big chain that's ubiquitous but meat quality is suspect, so I'd hardly call it the "best." I'm surprised especially in somewhere like SF Bay Area that Mike would pick Gen when there are so many unique, more authentic options than that big chain. I really suspect this video was sponsored by Gen to market them.
well he said at the end that he got the bill and he a regular paying customer but idk he just moved into the area so hes probably not that knowledgable about these things yet
I went there last night. It is just mediocre at best comparing to the one that already was closed down last year. 1). meat quality is ok, but not great. Short rib and cajun shrimps were our favor. 2). You have to wait for more food, and our BBQ grill pan kept getting burnt. 3). Hot water ran out and they charge for hot tea. At the end, we still don't feel full. I doubt I will go back again.

Glad to see, and hear that you are using a lavaliere mic now! The audio quality is much better with it than using any built-in mics on the camera. Nice review too! I was there in San Francisco in the past few weeks, but missed out on going to this restaurant. Had your review come out a few weeks earlier, I would have gone! Next time!
