I did the Invisalign 5 years ago when I turned 50, and I am so glad I did! It took only 5 months to straighten my teeth! My orthodontist said, "Wow, see what happens when patients follow my instructions!" I wear my retainer religiously to maintain my beautiful results. I have a permanent/fixed retainer/wire on my bottom front teeth and a removable retainer for the top. Our teeth have "memory" and will try to move back into their old positions, so wearing the retainer after the treatment is vital. A welcome perk during my treatment phase was not being able to snack in-between meals, and I have continued with that habit, which helps to keep me on track from a health perspective. ❤

@@rachelmcgill8143 I just finished 6 months and now in the retainers stage. I was so disciplined about wearing them. I don’t understand how some people I talked with were lazy about wearing them and then delayed getting results or aren’t wearing their retainers. It’s not cheap and my insurance doesn’t cover it if you are over 19 which is absurd. I am in the process of appealing that as my need also involved a medical need. These insurance companies are the devil.

I should have had the permanent retainer on my bottom teeth too, but ortho didn't do it and my teeth have moved back some. Long story but I didn't have a good orthodontist..

Her teeth are beautiful and inspired me to get Invisalign for myself. My son, now 30, was not disciplined about wearing his retainer! 😢

Love that tire inflator! I am a night shift nurse, one morning I came out of the hospital and had a flat tire, I used that tire inflator and was able to make it home to get some sleep! 😴 I loved it so much I got one for my husband’s car as well!

I little tip for the rebounder- make yourself a collection of uplifting, suitable for the tempo of bouncing songs and play it while you are jumping. Makes a huge difference in your overall experience and mood.

Hi Angi - be careful with the rebounder. I’m 53 and was influenced to get one. During my first use I popped a tendon in my hip - had to go to the ER, was on crutches and now using a cane. Not sure if I’ll need surgery to repair it. Just keep in mind that the rebounders can actually be dangerous- I had no idea I thought it would be no big deal. Live and learn.

I bought a rebounder with a bar to hold onto & you've got to start very slowly. I started just with walking on it then gradually built up but I always use the grab bar. Don't want to break a bone.

Another Invisalign hack is that when you take them out to film, put them in a cup of water. They don’t get nearly as gross as they do when you take them out and just have them sitting out.

My brother taught me this because I too used to pay for air. If you pull into a gas station you can ask the attendant to turn the air on for you (free of charge). The .25 cent fee is for when the business is closed and there’s no one there to turn it on for you.

I put my retainer in a napkin at a pizza place in the 80’s and then it disappeared (into the garbage most likely). My father had our whole family searching through the dumpster of the restaurant looking for it. 😂 Never found it! I have a rebounder and really enjoy it. There are some jumping routines on RU-vid to follow that are helpful.

I’m 52 and use all your skincare recommendations. I used the sunscreen for the first time yesterday with a tiny bit of concealer on my eyes and mascara to go to the gym. Someone complimented me and said my skin looked pretty. That is a huge compliment given the fact that I was sweaty from lifting weights. Also I live in hot/humid Texas and have normal skin and the tinted sunscreen isn’t too moisturizing on me. It does take 15-20 minutes to settle in but I think that’s standard for mineral sunscreen. I absolutely love it! Thank you for all your videos and research. Hugs from Texas.

Hi Angie, I am a faithful follower and recently discovered that I have osteopenia. I’ve been on bio identical hormones for years, just turning 69. Do you think you could do a video on all things to redensify the bones? (I’m aware that nothing medical is allowed.) Supplements, diet, exercise, etc.? A rebounder would be perfect if it is effective since we are in Texas. I had one back in the 80s. As always, thank you for your wealth of knowledge! ❤

I had Invisalign about 3 yrs ago! It was a tedious year but so worth it ! I got my cases free from my orthodontist and some cleaning packets too. I purchased the tool to remove them and it actually broke my bottom Invisalign. Which was a bummer , so be very careful when using that. I went back to pulling them out myself. After a while you get the hang of it and it’s easy .

I had Invisalign in my late 50’s. Had them on for a little over a year. They worked great however, the gums on my two front bottom teeth started to recede. This can happen when your teeth move. They seem to be holding steady now but I’m concerned as I age. Just a PSA for those thinking of Invisalign.

I bought those pants in black as well, and they are so comfortable. I am wearing them on the plane for my upcoming trip in 2 weeks to Austria and Hungary. I’ll probably end up getting a couple different colors for the winter.

I highly recommend a dental tray cleaning device like Zima. Amazon sells a variety of the same kind of thing. You put your trays in a container with warm water and an Efferdent tablet and when you turn it on it vibrates. Those things are fresher when it’s done than I could ever get them with a brush and any kind of paste or cleaner.
