You have to try the Sally Hansen salon gel polish! It’s the perfect consistency and lasts forever with no chip for me. My favorite even compared to more common brands.
YESSSS!!!! I’ve tried the RED CARPET brand several times and HATE it!! It literally never cures! I was wondering if anyone else ever had this problem as well! Thank you!
You're the reason I only purchase CND Shellac and Madam Glam as a new at home gel user. Thanks so much for the great recommendations. I'm still trying to figure out which brand overall is my favorite but I agree that CND shellac is best for manicures and Madam Glam is best for manicures. I wish the brush for Madam Glam was a little smaller so I'm thinking about purchasing smaller brushes to reuse for application, especially for pedicures. Also, they have a no wipe top coat but I always forget and wipe it with alcohol anyway. Lol
@@roxannebennett5809 I buy my Shellac from my friend who is a licensed nail tech, and I have also found some colors that did not sell well originally at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Both were authentic and lasted a very long time. I hope this helps.
Excellent review. I love my gel nails!!!! Could not leave without it. Takes me 2 hours including doing my manicure but to me is therapeutic and worth it.
This is helpful thank you! I am new to gel and got a few bottles of kiara sky to start with, but they are expensive. I am wondering how their polish compares to the brands you mentioned.
To be honest, Kiara Sky’s dip is much better than the gels. I have 4 of their gels and they only last me about a week to 10 days without chipping. They’re good but not great. CND, Madam Glam, and Dimension Nails are still my favorites.
Wonderful Video. Thank You for all the honest reviews. Can you mix and match brands? I read below that your favorite Base Coat is Madam Glam, favorite Top Coat is Dimension Nails No-Wipe Top Coat, and for manicure polish you like CND & ASP. Can all 3 of those different brands be used at the same time/same gel manicure? Another question I have is how long should you Cure (with my Gelish LED Lamp) my Base Coat, Gel Polish Color & then my Top Coat for? I recently used All ASP products (cured each step for 30 seconds each) and at the end when I used their cleaner to clean the top coat off my nails/gel manicure like th instructions said but my gel manicure felt soft and mushy and some of the color ended up rubbing off onto my lint free wipe cotton round.
I really like ASP. I just started doing my own gel nails and have had no issues. They cure perfectly and my weak nails are actually growing. I don't grow too long though as I type allot.
Wow thank you for this review, I just bought the Aimeli kit on amazon due to the reviews, haven't tried it yet and I was so unsure which to get, I was choosing from a few of these brands and it was a hard call so this video really helped thanks, Subscribed now
I was thrown in for a loop with the drastic change in opinion for the arte clavo shade since I just watched your first video on this topic and you praised it. 😳 I wonder what happened with that shade between the first time you reviewed it and after? Regardless, this was very informational as I'm trying to decide on a gel kit to buy.
I have the same Gershion top and base coats but mine doesn't smell. I am sensitive to strong smells ever since my first pregnancy but I can't seem to smell anything from it.
Aimeili literally gave me a nail fungus infection. I’m now super scared to paint my nails again any thoughts/ tips? They are almost all grown out but I hate having bare nails
Are you a certified nail technician? If so then any gel polish you can buy from a beauty store should be good. I am talking about the ones where you need to be certified to order from.
I've used it never a problem... if the bottle is new no gel could give a fungal infection .. but inadequate prep definitely can. I ALWAYS recommend even with polish...wash nails with alcohol 1st...can happen with polishes too.but since not sealed or last as long not usually a culprit.
I love the aimeili brand. I only have about 34 of their colours as it's hard to get here in Australia. But I've had no problems with them. I've used it on myself, my kids and friends kids. And if you prep your nails properly and use their primer I find the polish will last 3 weeks. Although I used a purple on my daughter and it's lasted a month of course there is a fair bit of chipping by this point though
It's great. I just don't like the fact that they were smaller than expected. And the red was lighter than advertised (with the set I got). The red was only dark when I'd use a Matte top coat. But other than that I think this brand is not bad. If they sell bigger bottles they'll be my favorite!
Maybe try a brand called Artistic Nail Design. They not too bad! Their bottles are absolutely stunning! I love Madam Glam. Some other brands that i like are BioSculpture and IBD have stunning colours!
Hi, would like to ask you which your favorite long lasting shellac is (not glittery, just normal colors which are especially long lasting) ? Except cnd because they’re hardly available in Germany and also very expensive and I can’t differentiate between forgery and original at cnd. I would be thankful and I like your honest review about all the brands I just couldn’t figure out which of your favs has been the best about lasting :).
Hi! I'm not really sure if you're still replying to comments ahaha, but I've been using my 2 sensational gels for a long time now but they've just started chipping in only a day and peel off super easily(I use a gelish foundation and top coat), I always take out all the oil from my nails and hand beforehand but they still just keep popping off, am I overusing the led light? Or maybe not enough time?
Are you using the base and top coat for that particular brand? Some brands cant be mixed with other products due to formulation. Say you use base coat from one brand that requires a 48 watt cure and your color coat brand only requires a 30.watt cure. When u put the base coat in an under rated light , it wont cure properly and can cause peeling etc. Always look at the cure wattage on each product and make sure they have the same curing requirements
Hi ! Thanks a lot for this review ! It was very helpfull. As u said u r gelish ambassador , I would like know do u know any distributors of gelish as I want a good number of polishes.
Thank you. Can you share your best gel base and top coats to use with dip powder? I usually like to change my mani after a week, just to try a different color, but am most interested in ease of removal more than very long lasting gel (2-3 weeks). I don't need that. Love gel but detest how long the removal takes.
I believe that is the wrong topcoat for the China glaze Gelàze. The Ever Glaze topcoat is for the extended wear line that does not require to be cured. The gel topcoat comes in the same shaped bottle in a silver color. I haven’t try he CND so I’ll be trying that out thanks!
Thank you 💗 for this. I have never stepped in a salon. I am frustrated with regular nail polish as it lasts 1-2 days. I am ready to invest in gel, where should I start? I would like to do it at home. Base/Top coat, lamp, and probably black, red pink shades...for manicures. Please help. Or this could be a video topic. Thank you so much.
Sensationail gel polish kit from Walmart. Includes everything, including UV lamp. Under $30. Lasts for at least 2 weeks. Just make sure you cap off the end of your nails when applying coats- that’s what makes mani last longer, delays chipping, etc.
There's videos on Beetles gel review now. I would send the links but I guess RU-vid doesn't do that anymore? But I also have Beetles and with my bundle all the colors are as expected except the red. The red is lighter than I thought but that usually happens with most nail/gel polish I get. It's not bad, especially for the price but I'm still trying other brands too
A 48 Watt lamp cures polish effectively and quickly (30-60 seconds). If you have sensitive, thin nails, I suggest getting a lamp with a low heat exposure option.
@@irresistiblepinky5796 The more expensive lamps have multiple heat options. A client's nail should never be put under high heat immediately if he/she have sensitive nail beds. I'm happy you now know what to look out for:)
Polish.Lover21 yea I have real thin nail beds from gettin my nails done so I’m like it’s either this fake ass acrylic cuz you know how the shops be & this uv light ‼️🤣🤦🏾♀️
@@irresistiblepinky5796 oh boy!! Definitely tell them usually when I do hard gel....I put in 5 seconds remove...then cure fully but some creams you can't...love heat mode !! Never should hurt you!
Hi Polish lover. I use mainly shellac & the gel bottle and see you use lots of different brands. Do you have problems mixing systems? or are you fairly cool with mixing systems. which would you recommend for gel nail art? Thanks
I have found the nail glues are a hit in miss with keeping accessories on. What I recommend is a hard gel solution. You can lay a thin, clear layer of hard gel on your nails then place accessories on top. After curing the gel in a nail lamp, you could put a top coat in between the gems/bling to aid with a longer wear:)
Did you buy each lamp that goes with each brand? Or do you use one lamp for all to cure each? According to a scientist you can't use all gels in any lamp.. each lamp is designed for each gel..... Which honestly I don't think is true but which lamps do you use n suggest?
His name is Doug shoon, each gel is formulated for certain wattage of lamp. Some are only UV or LED and some can be used in both UV /LED lamps. It is true, that's why some gels may wrinkle in one lamp but not in another lamp. That's why it's hard to actually go by some videos on a product if they aren't using the proper wattage of lamp. Most gels will say what wattage is required and what type (ie) UV or LED or combo UV/LED . Plus some gels will only work properly by using the base and top coats for that gel. I had a situation where I used a different brand base and the gel didnt stick to it very well and peeled off. Each formulation of.a brand is formulated for the whole system and cant be mixed with other brands. That's why you are seeing more customers getting allergies to over exposure and mixing of products. Always use the proper procedure for.each product and dont mix products.
All of these brands that you have displayed here are all hybrid gel polish so you get what you paid for you should try investing in 100% pure gel polish they never rinkle never total odorless. Eg. luxio gel polish and vetro gel polish absolutely no chipping no solvent ingredient
In my experience their formula is very gooey and if you get a gel/laquer (regular nail polish) they are not the same color. Sometimes my nails chip within in a week and sometimes 2 and I use the same technique along with their base and top coat. They generally always have a sale and are affordable but after my last purchase I’m looking to upgrade bc it’s too thick for me and the color looks chalky even when I do thin coats.
Im using CND led lamp, and gellen gelish base coat and top and polish and base and top r terrible. And it only stay ok about week. It peeling off naturally.. so. I thought its base coat problem mostly . OPI review wasn’t good. Hummm so should i get CND base and top?
I'm sorry to hear that. I never really loved the Gelish top coat either. I have tried endless amounts of top coats, yet I have not tried the CND base or top coat, thus I can not personally recommend it. I like the OPI top coat, yet sometimes it shrinks when curing on some colors, so I don't use it on clients. The best top coat I have ever worked with is Dimension Nails No-Wipe Top coat. You should wait around Easter time where the site most likely will be 40% all gels. Madam Glam has my favorite gel base too. Hope this helps!
Polish.Lover21 thanks for recommend. And i wad looking for madam glam . It is only can purchase from their official online. Seems like? I might wait Easter like you said..
@@yrzayrza Unfortunately, for both of the brands I recommended, you can only get the gels through their main sites. Sometimes, Amazon has Madam Glam, but they are expensive.
I have used them and they work great! Lasts several weeks (even on a very active teenager and 8 year old!) Be sure to do thin layers. Usually only need two coats.
ou same with the gelpolish brand..whew they are SO thick..! I use Enail and mine were super thick and wrinkling or would crack within a few days..ever since thinning them, mine and my clients have had minimal issues! I hope you can save the laguna moon at least lol
Melanie & Stephanie it’s not good at all. It peels easily. It’s like a step up from regular nail polish but definitely not anything like nail salon gel polish. Colors are pretty tho
