World Tour is SUPER underrated in my opinion. Yes, the story mode and lack of animated opening is a little disappointing, but the game absolutely shines in its fun and creative course design, the fantastic challenge mode, the post-hole animations are really fun and sometimes offer references to the games that the characters come from, and a good variety of game modes. I even consider it better than Toadstool Tour in terms of how much creativity and flair went into it.
I am curious to see how disappointing the Castle Club is. Like, I see footage of the game before, but its hard to tell if this mode is bare bones or not for someone who never played unlike Golf Adventure in Super Rush which I can clearly see its bad.
Aw man, Mario Tennis Power Tour on GBA isn't here! That's definitely top 5 in my book. Even though the main story isn't really Mario-focused, I damn love how customizable your character is and how RPG-like your character levels up.
I considered the GBA and GBC ports to be the same game, but I did forget to indicate that in the text. I didn't know how to rank them which is why I didn't talk about them separately. Glad you've had fun with them!
@@MarioSluggersFanclub thats a real shame since they're very very different from their console counterparts, I could understand not ranking them but lumping them in is a real diservice, they can be a blast
I love Power Tour, it is a game that shows how awesome a story/adventure mode in a Mario game can be. Not that bullshit of the Mii Adventure in Super Rush, instead you are in this Academy with a lot of places to play, rise up the ranks, with very customization, minigames and great characters, especially your doubles partner.
Man, how I would love Sluggers Switch already. I wonder though, if they do plan on making one, do you think they'd get Bamco to develop it again? I feel like that'd be the only way for it to capture the spirit of the first two games, rather than give it to another dev. I don't know if they're too busy working on other games though, but it'd be cool if they do it again soon. I want to see that massive 100+ character roster, haha
I think i'd personally put Aces over Super Rush, just for the huge improvements in the gameplay. And probably World tour a little higher. For the rest, good list 👍
1: I knew what was gonna be number 1. Not mad at it though. 2: This is a random statement but I hate the “finish it later” approach of modern Mario Sports games and unfortunately, Mario strikers battle league is gonna have the same approach. (Note: I’m not saying I hate when they update it after the game releases. I’m saying I hate when they release unfinished games and add the other stuff later instead of releasing a finished product and adding more stuff to keep us enjoying the game)
*I love baseball!* Super Sluggers is among my favorite baseball video games! Up there with Super Mega Baseball, Backyard Baseball, and MLB feat. Ken Griffey Jr.
I love this list! Although, I would put GCN Strikers behind Toadstool Tour and Power Tennis above Sports Mix. Charged's gameplay is WAY more chaotic than Strikers imo, and it has a lot more depth, and the roster is much better. And I love Power Tennis way more than Sports Mix, because like you said, the single player is phenomenal, and I still want to beat the tournaments with every character still, haha. And as for Battle League, I'd rank it below Sports Mix. It's not bad, could be much better, and I'm still holding out hope they'll add more content in the future, but at this point, it's looking like they're not. A shame, because I really love how it looks, plays, sounds (that music slaps) and the roster is not bad right now. It just needs a COUPLE more characters and stadiums for it to be ranked higher and have more replayability.
I of course love mario super sluggers, but I wouldn't rank it number one because of the fact that their is only one normal mode of baseball which kind've makes it repetitive.
This is absolutely untrue. There are minigames and you can choose to play with or without star power and items (and with or without nunchucks). There are 9 different stadiums to play on I believe, each with different gimmicks. You could also have fun with the toy room game mode too. So yea, nothing repetitive about this game. 👍😊
The only drawback for Super Sluggers is that the story mode is incredibly easy to beat. I tested the difficulty by throwing the exact same default speed pitch down the middle of the strike zone every time and still only gave up 5 runs both games combined while scoring 30 of my own without homering. But I still play this game, there's so much to mess around with the amazing and deep roster.
i mean if they dont add mario sluggers to switch, nintendo shows favoritism considering that mario baseball and strikers were on the same two consoles and only those two consoles
im sorry.... but super mario sluggers Is definitely not better than Mario superstar baseball... sluggers doesn't even compete, I'm sorry but it's just not possible.
3:25 luck based??? It's character based, wind based, ground based, and input based, everything can be calculated just a much higher skill ceiling, definitely not RNG though you can always make a ball go where you want it to go but almost nobody actually took the time to practice unless you're in online play against pros and we almost never miss our shots, miis can have the best ball control but also an absolutely massive skill ceiling because of it, and unlocking new clubs for different characters unlock more chances to curve the ball where you want it. Idk if you just didn't know this or what but wasn't gonna let that comment slip by.
@@MarioSluggersFanclub the luck based part is only when you hit the ball too far on the meter something like Wii Golf where hitting too hard is unpredictable, but you can tilt the stick to adjust the curve while flying through the air and it pretty much overrides that feature anyways especially if you max tilt it. usually you can just do a full meter then put a tilt that's almost straight up but slightly in one direction and it will guarantee your ball going in that direction if you wanted the curve, if no curve wanted then just don't hit that far into the meter and there's no RNG or weird skill checks.
