BEST AND WORST NEW FRAGRANCES OF 2022

I have been on a rose kick lately and have been growing my collection 💖 if you are looking for ideas please do updates versions of your best vanillas, gourmands, princess perfumes, rose frags, date night scents!!! Right now I am stuck on Lost Cherry mixed with Kilian’s Angel’s share. Loving this combo in this cold, rainy, cloudy weather. Also loving Kilian Princess, it is my newest perfume purchase. It’s so easy, light, wearable, yet unique. Thanks for all of the great recommendations!

The Kilian princess I do not like as much is to herbal not even tea smell like is like whatever I prefer the Elisabeth Taylor tea scent and cheaper I don't even like sample size on Kilian princess but unique personal experience is for certain people for Kilian get apple brandy and not over played (Hyped

I am so glad I got a sample of Amber Chromatique because I agree, it is hard to describe, does NOT smell like amber and is rather a harsh fragrance. Not one I would buy full size but if you are going to be wearing an edgy outfit that pushes boundaries, this is the fragrance that will compliment that. Edit: I usually don’t like celebrity fragrances but my daddy (who is 88) has very very few fragrances he can tolerate and since I (a fragrance lover) have been living back home for a year helping him with my mama who has Alzheimer’s, I have had fragrance withdrawals! He was in the hospital for a few days and when he came back home, my brother (who picked him up) had a very strange look on his face. My daddy then tells me he has a present for me and that he made my brother stop so he could get it. It was a bottle of Arianna Grande Cloud. He proceeds to tell me that one of his nurses wore it and he made her write it down because he LOVED it!! It was not something I would have bought but I will now wear it forever because it is the first and only perfume my daddy has ever given me!!!! He told me that he told the nurse he wants his entire house to smell like it, so I bought the body mist and have been spraying the house with it! I have very much the same taste in fragrance notes as you do and have bought many fragrances on your recommendation so I love your fragrance videos and wanted to share this story to back what you always say about fragrances and memories! This will always be the fragrance I will wear whenever I need to feel connected to my daddy!

Hello Erin, and thank you for the video. I think this Fenty fragrance is very polarizing because of its price. I bought this from Sephora and when I received it the bottle was leaking from the collar. The cap is plastic and feels very cheap, the box is not well made and the entire presentation was just poor, having more in common with dollar store perfumes than designer fragrances. The scent was okay, but nothing special. At $140 it is way too expensive for a celebrity perfume with such a poor presentation. It's worth no more than $60 IMO. $140 is the price of a good designer perfume and this falls far short of that level. Overall, I would say I didn't like it and I returned it to Sephora.

I’m too sensitive. Lol. When I heard one reviewer say she hated my fave scent, it took me a while to love it again. So kudos to you for being so nice. ❤

Fenty to me smells like a person who didn’t have the chance to take a shower and just apply some parfum on the already perspired skin . I don’t understand how they sell such bad parfum 😵‍💫

Erin I am in agreement with you, I absolutely LOVE Fenty edp, I was a little scared to try it but after you reviewed it I decided to take a chance, and wow, to me it’s beautiful, sweet, and I get a lot of the blueberry, it’s a LOVE for me!!❤

I hate the Fenty perfume. I liked the smell on paper, but it turned into vintage fruity bathroom cleaner on my skin. I gagged all day when I would catch a whiff. 🤢 On the other hand, many reviewers said Prada Paradoxe was basic, and I really really like that one! Love Libre Intense! 💖 Great video!

Creed Wind Flowers gives me nausea and a migraine. Thank goodness I tried a sample first. Something in it just didn’t jive with my body chemistry. I don’t like strong floral or anything too sweet.

Princess from Kilian is my most complimented parfum ever! I have the older version (the round bottle with the square base) and I'm afraid they changed the newest version. Great video Erin!

Kayali Vanilla Royal actually made me sick. I recently smelled someone who had it on and instant migraine. I sent mine back thankfully once I opened it. So I am grateful for their return policy. I must be very sensitive to patchouli because it’s all I get from it. Nice video.

I have sampled: for your love, cavord, N•5 mateu , gris charnel, rouge soray, mango skin And mango skin and for your love were immediately classified as a nooooo at first sniff, N• 5 was a maybe. Gris Charnel and rouge soray were yes. I think N. 5 will never purchased bcz it’s something that give me headache at the dry down. Thank you for this informative video as always ❤

I spent the $$$ on the MFK 724. It is surprising because it comes across as a more feminine floral fresh scent and yet the staying power is WOW. I've been in the fragrance biz since 1996 and have never smelled a fragrance like this that actually lasts and lingers even the next day. I did not expect that. Now, I'm a gentle fluidity fan so I typically wear a much bolder scent BUT I'm not disappointed with 724. It's a different moment and at least I know when I want that light floral feminine scent I can get it and it's gonna stay with me. ❤

Libre la parfume has been my HG for winter. I was on the fence when I first got it but I can’t stop wearing it. Paradoxe is good too!

I purchased Paris Paris on your recommendation and I love it. You said this was geared toward a younger age group, but as a tail-end boomer, I think it’s perfect. I developed an intolerance for the stronger fragrances I enjoyed when I was pregnant with my children 25 years ago, and that aversion has stuck around. I also love some of the Ko Malone fragrances, particularly Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Thanks for another great vid, and congrats on breaking 100K!🎉

Sweet Ash from Snif is amazing. It’s unisex and my boyfriend wears it all the time. It’s the only scent from that house that I love and is definitely worth trying!

I hate that I missed out on a full bottle of Roja Manhattan because it’s been such a surprise favorite for me! It is certainly more masculine than most of my everyday scents but I have really grown to love it.

I just discovered a La Perla fragrance that was a love at first sniff too! It was called Villa Sorrento . It was out of this world and now I need it :( best orange blossom I’ve ever smelled.

TF Rose De Chine smells the best to me.

Thank you for your honest opinion about Ambre Magique by Mizensir. I bought it as a blind buy and I was so very disappointed. I feel that this fragrance is an outlier from the Mizensir DNA. I tried to gift it, and took me a while to find someone that enjoyed Ambre Magique.

Your reaction to those two ambre fragrances is how I react to dolce garden. I hate it 😄 however, since I did buy it (becauseof hype!), I wear it once in a while. I spray it behind my knees so it's nowhere near my nose😄

Also (sorry for the 2nd comment) I'm a big Kayali fan but I'm returning the Vanilla 64. The 28 is perfect. I expected better pay-off in the 64 and really wanted to love the OUD in it but it was so disappointing. Compared to the MFK Gentle Fluidity, it's just weak. I'm sticking with the original Vanilla 28.

I’m one of those who absolutely hates Fenty, and I’m so upset about it. I don’t get anything, but artificial blueberry and a sickly, medicinal scent. I can’t pick up the magnolia, rose or tangerines.

I totally enjoyed the list, I think that we are all unique, so too is our joy for scents and what appeals to us. Shame there are some fab fragrances that should appeal that just don't speak to us especially for the prices of some! But the joy of also finding something you adore is everything 💞. I would look for replica: but jazz club, not matcha. I would also like to get my nose on the kayali but I just wonder about the longevity, but for the price I guess you expect to have to reapply a few times a day. The big houses with launches in 2022 must struggle to find inspiration especially as some perfumes are impossible to beat. Would love to hear your current best of the best list 💕💕💕

Mixed reviews on fenty? More like overwhelmingly negative

Dulce Diablo.... don't know if it was technically 2022... but amazing gourmand!!! I'm also enjoying the Huffynpuff (?) And Gryffindore fragrances AND Minnie from HOS!!!! Miami weather isn't as conducive to gourmands... but the Gryffindore frag HOS... is a warm, sweet floral you might like. I also don't know the year on Rosendo Mateu No 5... but it should count in light of his passing... it's my fave MOST "Nichey" niche! Lol ...Really look forward to your new discoveries!!!!

We usually have almost the exact same taste in fragrance and I agree with everything you rated except for Ambre Magique. I think it’s a beautiful fall/winter fragrance but I also live in MT so maybe it is just better in cold weather. Love your channel, and fragrance reviews!
