@@cintronproductions9430 - Thank you! I knew there was a name for them, but I just couldn't think of it. Some of them are pretty incredible with how they mimic the animal's movements.
I wouldn't be a good wildlife photographer, I couldn't not help the animals, I'd gather all those penguin chicks up, and put them inside my tent or whatever shelter I had.
@@randybobandy9828 You have nothing better to do on a Friday night than cruise YT looking for ways to show how smart you are by pointing out other people's mistakes? If you would have read the description you have noticed it says the video contains 50 years' worth of stories, the penguin scenes were shot sometime before 2012.

@@abcd2222222222222 The only reason you pay tv licence for bbc is because they dont do adverts. If you wanted you could delete bbc and not pay but to answer your question i live in England.
@@who919 No we have sky which i think is the same as your cable. We only pay a small amount of money for a tv licence because its only BBC we pay for. The reason is BBC dont do adverts so they need to generate some money a different way. Its a small price to pay so you dont get any interruptions (adverts) every 10 mins.
@@ljmack3625 ok some what like our PBS public broadcast system which is funded by the our government but in your case BBC is actually funded by the people.
Orcas are incredibly intelligent and apex hunters, yet it seems they have a soft spot for humans. If a human is in distress in open water and Orcas are there, they seem to be very gentle and help out. Love them.
That might be because most humans that swim in the ocean are fit and healthy barely any blubber. If they seen a big fat 20 stone human in the ocean it might be a different story. They are very intelligent, pointless killing what your not going to eat. Thats just my opinion anyway.
It's kind of sad that watching a video about the wonders of the animal kingdom could prompt such self hate. Personally, I do deserve to be among such majestic beings, and I would guess that you are too.
People forget that we are also animals. It's hard to see it when you are interacting with others, but if you watch from afar, people are just as beautiful and amazing as these creatures.

Sadly, this has outdated information about Orcas. Transient orcas eat marine mammals. Resident orcas eat fish. Other species of whales and dolphins can tell the two types apart by their songs and calls.
I understand it is location that determines diet amongst Orcas. Some groups eat fish, some mammals. For example the famous family in Patagonia that eats seals and penguins. Definitely resident but they eat mammals. Orcas near Eden in Australia feed on great whales as the whales migrated to their calving grounds to the north. Some of those orcas were so familiar to the human residents that they were named.
I swear that was some drama for that little penguin. Talking about nine lives for a cat…sheesh! That was one extremely lucky little penguin. I was rooting for it as my heart was racing.

Love the video but confused by the title. The Rockhopper penguin scene was probably shot in the Falkland Islands/Southern Chile or Southern Argentina (I do not think Steamer ducks are in Antarctica ... just the occasional yellow-billed pintail)
I believe he's been doing different kinds of voiceover narrations for quite some time now; but then of course his main leading role as the infamous Thomas Shelby, leader of the Peaky Blinders. But for me only just recently heard for the 1st time *"Thomas Shelby"* doing animal show narrations like BBC EARTH & even more so the different audio-book "sleep stories"; it's still a fairly new & awesome experience to hear Cillian Murphy narrating like that lol. He's no David Attenborough tho✌️😜👍
