If you please can answer these..🙏🙏 I had been using salicylic acid for some months now and for that reason my skin has become extremely dry. But, recently (before a few days) I have incorporated Vitamin C and hylaronic acid into my skin care regime.. I also want to know 1. if niacinamide can be used on dry skin type?? Is it not going to make my skin more dryer? 2. I also want to incorporate retinol in my skin care but since you mention that it is going to be drying on the skin, I don't know if I should be using retinal or not. 3. If I cannot use a retinal can you please suggest some anti aging actives that we can use on dry skin.. or any good hydrating active to pair with retinol to make sure the skin is not becoming too dry..🙏 4. Thank you Pooja. Niacinamide or vitamin C are great ingredients to include in skincare routine. You can alternate or used them together but patch test. For pregnant women vitamin C is fine but check with your doctor the product you finalise on also try to go for fragrance free version

The Just Herbs Retinol has a very strong fragrance. I do not think it is beginner-friendly nor sensitive-skin friendly. I started using just once or twice a week, but it caused, purging, like thinning of the undereye region and I started noticing furrows or deep dents in my skin, which was something I'd never experienced before. I stopped using it after 2 weeks. It sure did decrease my dark circles to a certain extent though. I just feel like the fragrance is unnecessary and must've caused the dryness and irritation on my skin. Also, my skin is extremely oily and quite tolerant to actives, so I was surprised that I experienced this. I won't be repurchasing it for sure.
Like I say all our skins are different. Try deconstruct one if you want you. Just herbs one worked well for me, did not cause any purging or irritation for me.

Hey Chetali. Thanks for doing this. Very helpful except that maybe you d like to read up on sudeeffects of fragrance in skincare. The research shows a very strong link between atopic dermatitis and broken skin barrier and fragrances. When you are younger, you might not show the grey hyperpigmentation that follows use of fragrance. Some skins get pigmented immediately and react badly, others take a few years but trust me, one day, surely, he sensitivity will just creep in, all around the lips and cheekbones and nothing works after that. Personal experience. That's why more developed nations are banning fragrances/ essential oils. I d love it if you could make a video of skincare sans essential oils and perfumes.

Right now I am looking for some good bha stuffs.
