Perfect ideas! My goodness, I think my grandsons would love the chicken nuggets on the waffles every day. How clever, and practical. For a family holiday get together this year, I made 3 varieties of soups, sloppy joes, and ham barbecue. I set them up in crockpots on my island with rolls, chips, and a couple of desserts. My guests served themselves what ever they wanted, whenever they were hungry. Perfect way for me to do nothing but enjoy their presence! It took me 3 hours in the morning and about an hour after they left to prepare then clean up. I will do it again, perhaps for every get together from now on. Perhaps a ham or turkey for the sandwiches, and potatoes, veggie sides and assorted breads with pies or cakes for dessert. So easy for me. I hope your holiday week is a wonderful one. I agree we do run our self ragged making these holidays special for our families & the older I become I’m always looking for short cuts and simple . Those waffle appetizers are definitely going in my arsenal I buy those mini waffles all the time :)

The Chick-fil-A nuggets that you purchased are 5 to 10 times larger than the nuggets at my local store. I never go to Chick-fil-A because their portions are the smallest possible. The tenders here are the size of those nuggets. Any other fast food restaurant the same items are at least 3 times larger and often 10 times larger than Chick-fil-A miniature meals served at a higher price.

No :( It was so sad. after their flights were canceled they tried to drive home but had to turn around because of horrible weather. First Christmas they ever missed, it was a tough one for all of us!

But on the flip side, it was sad because you all love each other and love being around one another so much. What a gift you have been in your children’s lives that they would be devastated to miss a Christmas with you! So even though it was tough, I applaud you for being the kind of mom that the kids can’t wait to come home to. What a blessing you are!
