I’m a born and bred red Sox fan. But there’s something about the Cubs and Rizzo that I just love. Rizzo will be remembered forever for sure. He’s just such a great sportsmen and role model.
@@benkrueger4344 why because he’s not a cubbie? Doesn’t matter. I was referring to his sportsmanship. The fact that he was a cub at the time was irrelevant. He’s a yank now. So what? I still respect him as a player and hey, I’m still RedSox through and through.
Watching this game live was awesome, Wrigley at 100%, comeback win, THE JOCTER, and Bill Murray on the broadcast?!?! Easily the best game of the year so far
No importa que sea dominicano,es una pelotero de admirar por su amor al béisbol,se que es E.E U.U,pero es un excelente pelotero que siempre se destaca entiendes
That's what Cubs fans and Wrigley Field do, bring out the best of everyone and bring out the result the Cubs are looking for. Nothing like it anywhere else. #GoCubsGo

I love how the announcers and the crowd knew that something special was developing the longer the at bat went. This is the first game wrigley was at capacity since 2019. This at bat transcended sports. Things felt normal for the first time in over a year. Just a beautiful moment. "How can you not be romantic about baseball?"
Groundhog Day is an epic movie. I don’t know that I’ve ever met a person that doesn’t like it. This at bat though!! From a Dodger fan, that is a spectacular AB from Rizzo.
I was at this game. Despise the Cubs and Cards (my wife's a Cards fan). The city was buzzing hard cause it was the first game after they allowed 100% capacity during COVID. Everyone was hanging on this at bat. The murmurs started swelling with each foul he hit. Then we started applauding them. Then, smack. HR. Immediately after this Bill Murray got on the PA for Take Me Out and hyped us up even more on one of the first real gorgeous days in the city. How can you not be romantic about baseball??
I'm not a Cubs fan, but it would be really difficult to dislike Anthony Rizzo. He plays the game w/ such joy, and he almost always has a big smile on his face. In an instance such as this, he makes it so easy to root for him. This was really a spectacular at-bat, on both sides of the ball, but Rizzo got the better of it this time around, and he well deserved it.

As a lifelong, diehard Cardinals fan, I hate to say how much I loved this moment. Because it meant so much more than just tying the game up. It symbolized baseball being back baby. Always had a ton of respect for Rizzo, glad we don't see him much anymore.
That's why, as a Stl fan, I hate him! That's why, as a baseball fan, I freaking LOVE this guy! In case you ALL forgot this is still Anthony Rizzo's team🤴
@@shane9245 I never said this one wasn’t great. Was just pointing out how Taylor’s still counted for more in the end with three runs, which ended up being the game winning runs. They are indeed both great, just don’t want Taylor’s to be pushed aside as inferior simply cuz it wasn’t hit over the fence.
If I would have been Rizzo, right after running around the bases I would have run straight into the locker room and announce my retirement and would have walked out of the stadium like a boss !

Chris Taylor’s 14 pitch at-bat ended in a double to center, but he did drive in 3 runs with it… I’d say Rossi’s tied Taylor’s for the best at-bat this year. Both were exciting, at home so the whole crowd was into it, & in both instances the announcers played it up. What a great season so far!
