What was wrong with the officiating? The ref got every big decision spot on. Both reds were clear cut and no arguments about Everton's penalty. The ref was quite right not to show MBS (y'know Graham Souness, 'the number 29' - if you are going to be a pundit at least pretend to make an effort to know the players names) a second yellow. It wasnt a bookable offence.

@@Garybaldbee The first penalty incident was a stonewall pen. If it was given, Branthwaite wouldn't have been sent off. The lad who gave away the penalty should've been given a 2nd yellow for denial of a goalscoring opportunity. Ref had an absolute nightmare.

@@swagmanmark2906 The reason it wasn't given is because Richarlison grabs Ajer first. Both got a hold of each other. Mads Bech shouldn't have got a second yellow, Richarlison never had the ball under control so it's not a goalscoring opportunity.

I'm old enough to remember an Everton side 2-0 up against Sheffield United in the second half, dominating the game 11 vs 11 and on course to win the title. Sheffield United snatched a goal out of nowhere and ten minutes later they were winning 3-2 and Everton's title chance was gone. It only takes a single moment to turn even the most dominant game on it's head, so it's impossible to say if Everton would have gone on and won had Branthwaite not been sent off.

Rafa is one of the worst managers to ever be involved with everton, the board ignored fans saying no to rafa at the start and still let him grab hold of us and some of the players had just given up and wouldnt even go to clap the fans after matches instead opting to go straight to the dressing room.
