An average top ten college football game is way louder than the World Cup. ❤️
@Smorj3

Well World Cups often have the issue that large chunks of the stadiums are rich people who bought tickets and don’t care or people there to support other nations that aren’t playing.

the difference is Europe fans are angry with flares and the need for security and barriers to separate fans. we do not have that.

Some of the College football stadiums in the US hold 100,000 plus! There are over 130 Division 1-A universities alone. Division 1-A is an organization of the largest competitive universities. I wish the college game day stadium tickets were free,...but unfortunately those giant stadiums and the school organized sports programs have to be funded somehow. Tickets can cost $80-200+ dollars depending on the game and organization. Then there is consessions which charge a ton for hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, other food and drinks. So if you have a family to take to the game, you are probably going to spend a healthy sum of a paycheck there baha ha!

$200??? I have to pay a LOT more than that for Notre Dame games unless I see the easiest team which would still be a sellout
@jcarbajal7348
@jcarbajal7348 Год назад
@@menwithven8114 Baha! Yeah, i could see that for Notre Dame. I am clear over here in bum fuck Boise. Tickets are probably more than that now. That was a few years back when i had to purchase tickets myself. Now i get them as a corporate discount through my company. I could see other organizations like Notre Dame probably being much much higher in demand.

tickets for Alabama games are like $300+ on average, and if you want to attend a hype game...god speed. Its going to be like $650+. Its WAY more expensive then NFL games. But then again, college is more popular then NFL so its not surprising.

These are all regular season games. And most places charge non-students. My alma mater gives students discounted season tickets: $42/game. If I wanted to go I'd have to donate like $200 just to get in the ticket lottery. Our stadium holds almost 78,000.
@quincyreacts

@flpndrox
@flpndrox Год назад
@@quincyreacts not to mention there's only about 13,000 students (the 8900 undergrads all show up every game) and every game is on National TV. We're the exception in everything...except stadium size where we are only above average for the top flight.

Some of those larger universities with major athletic programs (like 30 min away from my apt is Penn State - the white-out game was first one in this video) (like the Wisconsin game-nearby my tiny private college I went to in Wisconsin- the red "jump-around crowd") have major needs during game days to accommodate the crowds. Sometimes they let volunteers from local charity groups or area schools (like the private school I teach at close to Penn State) have their teenagers and families work concession stands or help the parking crew etc in exchange for their pay going straight to fundraising (ours goes to our own athletics programs, or class trips). In this way, sometimes you can "go to" a game without paying a ticket, although you're busy, you're at least there in the thick of it and you get a break to go catch a peek at the game. It also establishes a great relationship between schools with 18 year olds graduating and considering their college options.

I went to a military high school where all the students were required to come to our football game. I would say we had roughly 1,000 people a game and it was nuts so I can’t imagine playing in front of these large of crowds!

Great question. The price of tickets for a college football game are pretty high. About a $150 US for good seats.
@mtgamer7
@mtgamer7 Год назад
... for lesser teams or smaller games maybe. In 2022 there were 20 teams that averaged more than $150/game. Good seats at most of those schools go for several hundred dollars. Against rivals the cheapest seats are several hundred $$. My season tickets last year were $1025 for 7 home games, averages $146. Those were nosebleed seats, literally 3 rows from the back row.

Sports is another way kids with various talents can afford to go to home of these bigger, more expensive universities. These large athletic programs from the universities will send "scouts" out to high schools (sometimes traveling across the country to high schools) to watch promising high school athletes compete & offer athletic scholarships to upper class men. In this way, some very talented athletes have worked so hard at their sport in order to afford to attend university here in the USA. Some of these large universities with extremely well-backed sports programs can sometimes offer a "full-ride" (total payment) scholarship for an incredible athlete to come attend their university and play for that University.

The Crowd was spelling Ohio. each side of the stadium yells a letter they are the Buckeyes and my fav team (go Bucks!). The best college traditions is a great video too. The iowa Hawkeyes tradition is to wave at the children's hospital that is built very close to their stadium it alway makes make me cry watching bcz its so awesome to see an entire stadium even the opponent team and their fans will wave!

Probably .0001% sports fans in America would be considered hooligans by Europeans. We keep it respectful, and sports and violence usually don’t intertwine. Louisiana State University Tigers might have the “scariest” fans in college, but even then the worst you usually get as a visitor are fans pointing and yelling “tiger bait tiger bait” at you.
