Totally agree with you I absolutely adore that song but this version is something special. The first time I ever saw this I’m sad to say I did judge Susan before she opened her mouth and sang. I was with my mum and when Susan sang I can remember our jaws dropping then we just grinned as we both love that song and we know it’s a tough song to sing.
Right. And this show has never in any way been orchestrated by the producers and Simon Cowell. It’s totally authentic. The thousands of people who come to audition aren’t asked a series of questions in their online application in order to obtain as much of a backstory as possible. The contestants don’t audition for producers several times before actually going on the BGT stage to perform for the judges and the judges don’t have notes in front of them about who’s coming on. It’s all authentic 😅
@@fezzik7619 While all of that may be true, the AUDIENCE didn't have any of that information and they were snickering at her until she sang. So the OP's post is very valid.
This world is full of avarice and cruel people. Susan is full of kindness and love. Thank God for her beautiful personality and talent. Don’t ever give up Susan and keep smiling as you sing your heart out. ❤
@@heidikickhouse- I wouldn't count on a boyfriend for Susan. She is a unique person, but not one that most men would want to marry ....unless it was for her money!
@@heidikickhouse- : She's very happy with her dreams come true and prosperity. I think she's right saying she doesn't want a boyfriend because she's not up to it. Her autism makes her childlike and vulnerable to it.
Susan - that quirky little smile just before you started to sing - you knew you were going to knock their socks off. Your audition still brings tears every time l hear it.
Well, Susan Boyle can sure belt it out and people are going crazy over it. I prefer when someone sings with expression and sensitivity, though. I’m writing this in 2024 and this is the first time I’ve ever heard Susan Boyle sing. I’ve heard about her so much, but never heard her sing before. If I remember correctly, besides the fact that she has a wonderful voice, she was one of the first really popular vocalists who wasn’t incredibly pretty too. I think she opened up the field for the more talented talent versus the more attractive one.
I could watch Susan Boyle a thousand times and still get chills and tears. It is an overwhelming joy to watch and hear her get her first moment when we are certain no one even saw her before. What a wonderful reminder from above. God Bless her. ❤❤
And yet we do forget and judge people negatively everyday.... Please let's all be fair and if we can't see or way there, let's at least be kind, for justice is blind and plays no favorite..... And, given Susan Boyles, let's just be glad and savor it....
Susan had a male friend in her town who was really supportive of her singing in pubs there. He wasn't surprised by her BGT success "because he had heard her sing." ♥
I just like that they picked a different song than everyone else! It was quite refreshing to not have to hear someone sing Bring Him Home for the thousandth time (although that is a great song).
@@moeball740 Being hyper critical, I agree that though the first two had wonderful voices, that song was meant for someone of a deeper register. Much like the last presons version. Except he had a bit too much vibrato that sounded too irritating as the song progressed. You do not want to accentuate every extended note with a lot of vibrato. He over did it. As I said I am very critical. I think the first two singers would knock it out of the park if they chose different songs.
Susan Boyle - the audition that changed so many peoples minds I never get tired of seeing it, people pre judged her as she walked onto stage mocked her but she had the last laugh it still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it
@@grammichal6759 I'm so sorry for your loss I pray you remember good times with him more than the pain of losing him they are precious and can't be taken away from you. 🙏🙏🙏💖
Collabro and Susan Boyle are in classes all by themselves, of course, and all of these performances were wonderful, but Mark really touched my soul. God bless them all!
Celts are God's gift to the world--singing, dancing, music. The Irish tenor is unique, and I ♥ ☘baritone Noel McLaughlin too. The two ☘Gardner brothers now top Riverdance. But WELSH Celt are The Best! GREG PRITCHARD, PAUL POTTS, SARAH BRIGHTMAN, CHARLOTTE CHURCH, JUDITH DURHAM, TOM JONES, and rich speaking voices too, like Richard Burton, Richard Harris, Anthony Hopkins. (Did I miss any other Celt greats?)
"Bring Him Home," is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. Lyrics simple and unbearably heartwrenching when seen in context; At war a young soldier lays dying while a much older one kneels before him begs God to take him instead. Saw "original" Broadway cast production of, "Les Miz." Colm Wilkinson sang it indescribably passionate. An experience I will never forget. If only we could bring all our soldiers home. May God bless our Troops. Keep them safe, warm, in his embrace. Bless comfort their souls.
The soldier is not dying. Jean Valjean sings it as Marius sleeps the night before the students stand up to the soldiers. Valjean has just found out that Cosette is in love with Marius.
Totally agree. Me too. They say never read a book by its cover. If Susan hasn't shown us how true that that is I don't know what has. Incredible talent.
Those 5 young men were beyond amazing. To hear 5 people who each had an unbelievable voice individually yet who could blend together is something you don’t see often. Reminds me a little of Home Free. And I thought David was going to catch bugs, his mouth was so open lol.
To this day, Susan Boyle's audition is one of my favorites because of precisely what the judge said about counting her out as soon as she walked onto the stage.
Susan's audition is my VERY FAVORITE one, too! She PROVED that one should NEVER, EVER, EVER judge a book by it's over--- and I will bet everything that I have that she, by her courage, her confidence, and her FANTASTIC attitude, DEFINITELY changed the lives of at least SOME of the pre-judged people who have been bullied and who have no self esteem! AND THAT ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL , STRONG, CLEAR VOICE!!! OMG, I LOVE HER!!! I watch THIS audition OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, And it brings me TO TEARS, EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍😍💖💖💖💖💖
What I love is that the two arrogant insensitive male judges don't even have the grace to try and hide their mockery at the beginning. Eye rolling, sneering. It's disgusting. You're on camera guys. Grow up.
Ut never given the chance they really deserved, those boys deserved to win everytime they appeared in future shows. I really dont know why they never did.
I remember the night Susan sang.... I was up until 2am having listened probably 50 or more times... and even as I listen today, her audition still brings me to tears. The others have too made me shed a tear or two at some point.
Me too. And when I need uplifting I hit this audition several times at a time. She always makes me feel there is something more to achieve and that I am able to do it.
Susan Boyle's audition for me is still the most surprising, heart warming audition ever..whenever I want some inspiration, I watch and listen to her..that moment when she starts to sing is like a moment of heavenly blessing, and it moved everyone! I love her what a great women she is! ❤️
The first guy was so good everyone went completely silent the whole time just to hear the whole song. Glad to see that Simon gave him the constructive feedback he wanted
Susan Boyle brings me to tears every time I hear her audition. She believed in herself, regardless of what anyone else thought in that arena. A perfect song for her to begin her dream. We're all privileged to have witnessed an incredible audition and performance. The boy band was also amazing after just being together for ONE month!? Watching Simon roll his eyes and then eat his thoughts and words was brilliant!
When Mark started singing and the camera went to his Brother, I was in tears. To see the look of recognition and pure delight at hearing his Brother’s voice….there are no words! 💙
I am 66. Ive seen a lot and heard a lot and it takes a lot to get a reaction from me. Things might be nice, well done, or greatly appreciated. But these five boys actually gave me GOOSE BUMPS! Un freakin believable! Absolutely amazing voice compatibility and delivery! In all the years ive been watching these shows, ive never gotten goose bumps- EVER! Kudos!
No matter who sings any song from this show, it is hands down the BEST music ever written. Loved every version of every song. Just close your eyes and listen!
Loved all these. They all had great talent. My favorite is still Susan Boyle, not only for her talent, but for her courage In the face of doubt. Well done Susan! So inspirational. The young man who came on first as all the singers should be encouraged. The group of young men did a fantastic job of harmonizing their voices. It was beautiful. Well done to all!
When Cowell rolled his eyes at Callabro and Amanda Holden sniggered - and when they scoffed at Susan Boyle - really showed that they shouldn’t judge until they’ve heard them sing. THE most memorable audition has to belong to Susan. Ask anyone for the name of someone who’s been on BGT and they will say “Susan Boyle”. She didn’t even win it but has been by far the most successful. ❤️
Remember too Paul Potts and Jonathan Atoine, both of whom were met with negative vibes until they started singing. Both went on to become international stars.
@@DD-wd7ku : Good memory! Paul Potts was unforgettable, but I'd forgotten Jonathan Atoine blew me away more than any male Got Talent I've ever seen. I also love twinkle-eyed elfin Celt glass-shattering counter-tenor with the nice baritone, Greg Pritchard. And Gothic young Andrew De Leon.
The song Bring Him Home was wonderfully done. His brother seemed like he understood and smiled and hearing the sound of his voice. The five young men were outstanding. I didn't think so many people would use Les Mis as a song choice but it turned out beautifully all around. Thank you.
I haven’t a clue as to how many times I have listened to Susan Boyle and Collabro but I’ve always been stunned by their performances. I hadn’t listened to the others and they were good too. I was happy to hear Susan’s voice in the background. She was so brave and excited that it was infectious. Some are so very blessed to have such amazing talent. Thank you for posting.
He made the song his own to suit his voice, everyone wants original all the time, but then because it wasn't the original register of the song people didn't like it 🙄
The third audition with the boyband was really beautiful! They have harmony and well blended! I cried listening to them sing and they should have gotten the golden ticket!
I love how Susan Boyle blew a kiss to the audience as she exited the stage. We all witnessed the beginning of a new beginnings for Susan and the birth of a great singing career. Bravo!
No one could ever beat the excitement and the wonder and the biggest shock ever in a singing competition, more than Susan Boyle. She was a huge sensational on the internet.
I just want to say thank you for putting Susan Boyle in this! I heard her singing in the background after a few of the other singers were finished and I thought, I need to go watch her again, and then there she was at the end. Perfect!
Amanda Holden must be genuinely one of the nicest and most sincere people on television. I love the look of sheer delight she gets on her face when someone impresses or surprises her.
If you listen carefully, there is a hint of breathiness in the top notes where it's near the top of his range. Having said this, the song was written for someone with a very unusually high range, and props to him because I think that's the original key and not brought down a bit like others. This song is so difficult because of the clarity expected in the very top range so I think he did a fantastic job whether he was breathy or clear in the top notes.
@@bookgirl1 That is not the original key. Alex sang it higher. He has an amazing voice, but I was thinking the same thing as Simon the entire time I was listening to him sing.
Oh wow i don't think I ever made a comment on Susan Boyle absolutely just beautiful i so do not have any other comments wow what a voice you are a absolutely such a beautiful singer and such a beautiful person
OMG the first one young man was incredible. Had me in tears. Bring him home is such a beautiful song. I loved the 5 guys. They were so good together and that in only a month. Definitely chemistry as he said. It just worked. I never ever get tired of Susan Boyle's audition. It was insult to her when they said everyone was against her. I loved that she definitely proved them all wrong.
I've seen Susan's audition hundreds of times and it still brings me to tear up. Today, I've heard other wonderful auditions and I'm really, really crying my eyes out. The five boys were astonishing. They put me to pray. Thank you so much for posting this. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
Susan Boyle did a beautiful job singing " I Dream a Dream " I love that song ,. Les Miserables is my favorite musical. I had tears in my eyes when she sang that beautiful song .
Beautiful! There are so many singers who PELT out the music. It is a special singer who can bring tears with a quiet, heart-felt rendition of a song carried through the words, melody and heart! Love this!
I always love it when Simon's eyebrows go up within the first 8 notes, that generally means he is not hearing what he expected to hear. Then comes the small smile, you know he is sold on the person auditioning. Then you have the songs that bring simon to tears....
Love Susan Boyle. I would play this song for my autistic sister. I think she fell in love with Susan Boyle audition and from then on musicals. Jackie loves musicals and will tolerate crowds for a good musical in theater. This life has killed my dream unfortunately but I now work for Jackie's dreams. God willing ill be able to take her to a actual play in New York in the future.
I Never ever get tired of watching Susan's Audition gives me and I'm sure a lot of other people Hope and Faith in Humanity this Audition and Susan will live on as A Beautiful Moment in Time baci x
Calabro went from 5 musical theater guys in jeans being together for only a month, to WIN the whole thing! I never tire of their harmonies of perfection.
Susan Boyle with her amazing DEVINE voice will never be beat by anyone on any World Talent Show. Millions today will never forget her debut on BGT and still listen to that day she SHOCKED the world. Mark McMullen was stunning and phenomenal.
