I thought you were going with Banh Mi Saigon based on your reaction but ultimately picked Vo’s. I think you should’ve gotten the same sandwiches to make a fair comparison. Usually the grilled meat has more flavor than the other meats. Can’t go wrong with banh mi sandwiches they’re packed with so much flavor from the meats to the veggies, they compliment each other.
Bahn Mi is the Michael Jordan of the sandwich game. Fresh slivered jalapenos, cilantro/culantro, and pickled carrots make the sandwich so incredibly good.

Yo Mac, the reason you like vo’s because u had the best version (grilled pork). If u would’ve get the same version at banh mi Saigon with the fresh bread 🥖 then there’s no comparison. Also banh mi Saigon had a shorter version of the bread besides the baguette that u got which is more fluffy and tastes wayyy better.. just saying. ✌️
Not vietnamese but I always like the combination that has more of the traditional taste. It has alot more textures with the right amount of flavor with the different meat. Bbq pork seems overly flavored.
Born and raised in Little Saigon Westminster. The best Banh Mi place right now is probably Carrots and Diakon, heo quay(crispy pork belly) sandwich or Thanh Tam sandwich, special with the egg and spam. You won't be disappointed but expect a line at both locations. Best coffee is Gala Bakery
China Mac I ain't never heard of them sandwiches nor have I ever eaten one . They look so good and if you say they taste good I believe you . You seem like you know alot about food . Vietnamese coffee is the JAM. I actually get my powdered coffee from the hood swap meet-the ONE Vietnamese fam-JUST TO get good coffee. I dunno…something about the coffee that just hits different. Shits like crack w the condensed milk.

Now I got to try Vo’s. I drive pass it all the times and I wondered why it still in business because the location is terrible. And…it’s a relatively new spot, only opened for a few years. Saigon Sandwiches is a straight up OG legit spot from way back when all the gangsters used to frequent it in the 90s on Harbor and First. There are better sandwich shops now, but every time I see Saigon Sandwiches, I think about all the homies.

There’s so much more bomb food in Orange County ! You gotta try the go to spots and well known spots . Like 1.99 chicken , pho 79 , KHOI HUNG (the filet mignon with red rice ) , luc Dinh ky rice and fried salmon ) Vox kitchen .
@@ohnonotjo forealz lol.. the last time I remember eating it for 1.99 I was about 13 or 14 yrs old.. love their fried Cornish hen with the red rice and the dark soy sauce is bomb.
The banh mi dish is a quick street food to grab on the go, it shows how Vietnamese culture and French culture intertwined together. The baguette is French but everything inside is Vietnamese. And the last one won't taste as good is because your no longer hungry because you had 2 before that one.
@@michaelchau7817 the banh mi, if I'm correct consists of a combination of different flours, therefor banh mi get a crispy on the outside a whilst being soft and airey inside. Where as baguette is only flour, so sometimes it get a dense and hard on the inside
that dessert drink/dessert Sam Bo Luong is a good balance when your internal body is too hot from eating too much fried stuff or peppery food. This is actually orignated from Chinese.
