You gotta do something like eye of the tiger, smells like teen spirit, or bad to the bone. This is coming from someone who loves rap, but rock songs are just better for walk-up songs
Exactly! I mean even if you're not a fan of metal, I'd use it to strike fear the opposition. Heck, I hate the Yankees, but man I remember every time Mariano Rivera came in to pitch as the closer they would play "Enter Sandman" and it gave you chills as a spectator, and you just knew it struck complete fear in the opposing team as you just knew he was gonna be puttin' fools to bed when he came in with that intro. Its funny because every single time I hear the beginning (or 10 seconds to 30 seconds to be exact) of the song "Animals" by Architects, all I can think is 'when is some MLB player going to make this brutal riff his walk up/intro song? I mean it's just absolutely in-your-face, perfect for it.
@@koreanhomme I thought you would know the difference between Sugar hill, LL Cool J, Jaz and JayZ style of Rap, and 2pac Shukur style. Sorry, I must be giving you too much credit in knowing different variations of rap. See, I've been listening to 40 years worth of the stuff during my 25 years of compiling my data. My first intro to Rap music was 2Pac's 1996 album, DC. Talk "free at last", Biggie Smalls "sky is the limit" and Puff Daddy's "mo money mo problems" featuring biggie. I was around when Eminem came out. Mabe I should have used better venacular and called it "gangster style rap music" There, are you happy now you freaking Technocratic man?
@@koreanhomme I was comparing Kevin Gates to a gangster rapper style I've heard. One that jumps out at me is Young Buc. Ever heard of Young Buck? The song "buss em heads off"???? That's similar style . 50 Cent's "many men" is somewhat similar in driving beat, and aggressive lyric format. Challenging, threatening , and boasting Kevin Gates has some bangers in his collection. I play his stuff sometimes in workouts. What Rappers do you like? have you listened to NAS or Redman before?
I feel like half of the reason walk up songs are so hype is because the eco throughout the stadium that’s who if I every had one it would just be the intro to welcome to the jungle
I love hip hop but not so much this new shit..... Barry bonds when he walked up had dr. Dre The Next episode that was dope it made sense and it was intimidating.. Sergio Romo had El gran mechón also made sense an intro song that hypes you up
enter sandman is the best entrance music ever because of the notoriety that comes with the guarantee that the game was over when you heard it but diaz's music is a close second.
