I like the fact that you walk away from all the crowdy touristy and early in the day ... you got the beaches all to yourself, and spent it with the locals.
That’s the best time of the day- early morning! You get to wake up with the the sun and the birds and experience it all before everyone else shows up! Believe me, I had my party days but going to bed at 9 to wake up at 5 is my cup of tea now!

Beautiful beach. Adam, I have a stinking feeling you probably Ubered in those oysters to the beach. I was waiting for your happy dance. Releasing those sea turtles was so cool. Now every time you see a turtle while scuba diving you are going to wonder if it is Josh or Winston.

Just returned from this region. Based on your videos, we hit quite a few beautiful spots! Thank you! Just a couple updates for 2023 for playa coral, we paid 100-150 pesos to access the beach through Villas Mexicana, maybe that was the same hotel and has a new name?? I don't. But like you we walked down numerous steep cemented paths to get to the beach. The 100 -150 pesos included a hamburger French fries beer or soda pop. Worth it all! Also we did the release of the turtles one of our last nights in Puerto Escondido! What an amazing experience thank you for the find. In the educational explanation before the release, we were told that 27 km are protected for the turtles. That may be one of the reasons why so few people at Playa Bacocho. And the fact that those shoribe slamming waves were intense. We didn't seim there as had sunset dinner plans. Gorgeous. Thanks again for the great videos! Hoping the regions can maintain the very unique down-to-earth vibe! Hoping all the greed and hotel exploitation does not hit this region! Reminds me of what Costa Rica had to offer in the late seventies early eighties.
Thanks for sharing! Oh we hope so too. After just being in Costa Rica and seeing the impact it has had since I was there twenty years ago it has opened my eyes even more to how imperative it is for the government to put regulations and laws in place for this exact reason.

Great video guys! We'll wait for the return of Josh and Winston hehehe it was like a race to find who get first in to the water. Bacocho Beach is not crowded because it has a strong currents, recommended for nice swimmers, in Spanish we call this type of beaches "Mar abierto" for the strong waves or currents. Close by you will find Playa cocos, is a beach club that get you access to a pool and all you can eat and drink (some cocktails) for around $250 pesos per person, it as hammocks and nice shade. We think we'll join you at Puerto Escondido! You really are enjoying and sharing your joy with all your viewers thank you for your videos! Miss you guys!

Playa Coral is my fav. I was sad to hear that they closed the trail access last year (but I am happy that there is now a 70 peso option. We missed our annual visit in Dec 2020. Hopefully, we will be back in 2021. Thanks for helping us have a virtual visit.

Hey Julie! That is a great idea. We aren’t staying in that area, but it is very nice and tranquil. Just a short walk from the main strip in Rinconada where all the shops and restaurants are. Right now we are staying in Zicatela - a more popular area right off the beach - very nice here too. That is a good idea to show accommodation! Thank you for your comment! We hope you are doing well!
Great summary concerning the turtles and habitat. Can I also encourage you to consider all sea life and habitats a equal and before eat from the sea, we consider the downstream effects this over populated world is having on out oceans?

We agree, it is absolutely devastating and it breaks our hearts as well. We try to always eat locally caught, from the hands of the fisherman - but we can always do better, and we will. @@TheCountryCollectors I have gone to Puerto Rico twice and gone to the beaches known to have turtles and with no success did I see any. I go to Mexico (Tulum) and take on snorkeling adventure and I’m swimming with 3 big ones around me. Just love love sea turtles- they are so fascinating … so when I saw this on the video - I was in awh and little teary bc of how few exist nowadays 😔. I do make it a point to pick up trash around the beach that I see left behind. Mother Gaia doesn’t deserve to be treated like that. Love you guys 💖🙏
It was awesome 👏! I cannot recommend it more highly. We have been back 2 times since then and even just put up A video of a mother sea turtle laying eggs that we randomly saw! Nature is so incredible!
