Pretty sure you just sold me. I’ve watched a few videos of this now and yours best displays the ease of control and laid back nature of the low rate mode on this. I just threw away my old Dragonfly I never could get to fly and decided to try again with newer technology and it looks like this is very likely the best option. Thank you!!
I fell you did this video for me. We talked a week ago saying I wanted a mavic size drone but then said no i want a heli and was asking a good one to start with. You said blade so i was looking at them. Now you have done a video on this so this is what im going to order. THANKS.
What a cool unit dude..! I have always wanted to get into Helli flying, and this seems like my go to start point (keep up the great work man) Respect from Ireland 🇮🇪 👍🏼🏎💨
Haha! DUCK Steve! That part of the video made it SEEM like I was hallucinating from acid or some form of street drugs.... Not that I have ever done drugs before, But I always hear through the grapevine the effects. Lol all that wild flashing color & the helicopter attack and look like a giant mosquito OR a flying fried chicken drumstick. You made me hungry and I cracked up! You are such a GREAT comedian as well!😅 Anyways I like this helicopter I've always wanted one. But I didn't want to start with a high level expensive one. I found my match & will look into getting this one! All it needs is its own built-in camera like a drone. 👍🏽
Quality control is questionable. The first heli that I purchased of the E130 was a POS. Went off on it's own. suddenly rose and then went down with no input. Purchased a new control board and it went up in flames the first flight. Got a refund on it. Kept reading about how easy it was to fly and purchased another one. This is so much fun! Easy to fly, auto leveling, and does what I expect. So much better than my first purchase! I run through 2 + batteries a night and smile at the end of the day.
I wish I got something like that as a kid. It's a lot more stable than your typical toy helicopter especially from the 2000s. My brother has a few sitting on his desk collecting dust because they're missing some parts due to crashing. Something like this looks a lot less prone to crashing in the first place! Great video, Captain!
Another great review Cap'n, and Eachine is continuing to impress me with some of the stuff they're putting out these days. This looks like a fun little chopper, I might have to pick one up to fly around the house on bad weather days :-).
Man Steve, why didn't they have these Awesome Remote Control Helicopters, back in the Eraly 1960s. That was cool, that would be a Great bigger, or Christmas gift for your Child, as always you are Awesome, I loved the Instant 360 hooked up. I was amazed how high it would go up in the Air. Your amazing Brother, what would the Community do with out you. And also Nelson now. Your Awesome Brother. Sincerely your freind from Mo Rick and God bless you and your family.
Thank you for the comments! When I was a kid I would have gone crazy for something like this... sure beats running around a field trying to get a home made kite to fly.
Awesome video, I have the E119 heli and it’s so easy to fly that it’s a fun break from flying my drones. The fact that it has the same control features as a drone makes it super easy if you’re already flying drones. After seeing you put the camera on it makes me know what I’m doing next time out. 🚁😂😂
Hi Steve ...... I have this heli also it’s pretty amazing ..... very beginner friendly ..... I’m so impressed with it that I’m looking now at the E 180 it’s bigger and more powerful but has the same features plus a few more and for the 4 battery it’s about £220 UK 🇬🇧 Great video and so glad you reviewed and liked this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I got the E119 or 129 about a month ago and I love it. I'm a first timer also for helicopters. I might get this one eventually because it's bigger. Just need to be mindful about the motors being brushed so you want to let it rest for a few minutes between flights. Good video thanks.
Hello Steve!!!! This helicopter is really amazing! Eachine is really making awesome flying unmanned vehicles! Btw, Steve I am buying a Mini Drone, *Flynova...* Its a well known mini fidget spinner drone which flies for 7 minutes and gets fully charged in 20 mins! It does not have a controller or gets controlled by phone.... I think so it is going to be a fun drone! What do you think Steve?
CAPTAIN DRONE my birthday is coming on the 28 and i was looking for an fpv drone ... i trust your reviews so can you please Review : The make fire blue Shark fpv drone I found it on Amazon for about 103 bucks But there is another one that I am interested in it: is the bolt fpv beginners drone selling for 120 bucks on Amazon Thanks captain drone I will be glad if you review them so i can know which one is better because I trust you awesome and trusty reviews Also add another one of your cool intros :) thanks
Wow !! Many thanks Captain for posting !! was always intrigued by these Copters and will give this one a go !! PS, love the fixing of the Camera ; I "shoe goo"d" (adhesive) a Go Pro onto a Mavic Pro which had no camera; in low winds the result was pretty good !!!!!!
great review but i much rather drones and tanks :) maybe a fancy helicopter like a chinook or something with features, helicopter guys just seem to want to bob up and down vertically
Thanks for the video. Reviews by regular, normal guys are quite helpful when exploring a new area of RC. So have you ever tried RC Tanks? The best thing about them is that they never fall out of the sky. ;)
I don't know who to blame You or Nate and Anby. But as ya know I have a multiple group of quads, you call em drones. I have the V911 and its okay but a bit cheesy. I need something a bit more robust. Your video here, and the one from the Saylors convinced me to purchase one of these. Ali Express pr Bang Good has em for around $85 or so. ,Gonna order one as soon as you finish your video. THANKS!!! I think? LOL No,you've never steered me wrong before and I've made at least a dozen purchases on your recommendations. Here's another. Okay then. The Insta 360, huh? I guess I want of those too. Where can I get one? I use some el cheapo no name AIO units. They require a 3.7b lipo batt, I use 90 mAh or sometimes zq10 mA batt. They're cheap. Like $12 for a 40 ch,8 band unit that uses wifi to a phone ZNOT bad. It's a camera, TX and an antenna. Or All In One, or a Lil Pilot 4.3" TFT monitor. ( 4xAAA) 40 ch monitor. $20 or so.
Hi Ken, nice video as always. Looks like the swash plate is pretty well protected. I have a question though. I didn't hear you mention if it had a button of any kind, to turn off the auto-level. Does it have that feature? Thanks.
Thanks for the new video👍 When do you make all this things? Fulltime Job, testing the rc drones/cars and making videos for the RU-vid channel? My day = 24h and your day = 36h? 😎
Oh my days are 100% full for sure. Day job takes up 8 hours Monday to Friday so you'll notice often times that my videos are made early morning (before I head to the office) and edited in the evenings. Weekends are for family, friends, house work, etc.
Thats a cool one, are you gonna get one that fly's upside down! I still have a small one that I bought at fry's electronics years ago but my cats live inside so I dont want to kill them with it?
Flying a regular remote helicopter is like trying to balance a marble on a plate. You didn’t mention controllable range or height. Do you know what they are? Thanks
I had one a long time ago, it was impossible for me to fly, it didn't have any auto anything. I had to get the version that had two props on top, and no tail rotor. That one took awhile to learn to fly, they had very sensitive controls.
Hi David. Thank you for such a clear demo. I have one on the way but I am wondering about the hover control. The left stick stays at 50% so the heli takes off and hovers around 4 to 5 feet, I’m guessing. If you then send it up into the sky and let go of the left stick, does it stay hovering up there or come back down? I’ve never seen this hover control before. Cheers Ian
Ah, ok. Thanks. So the hover control is possibly more to do with take off and settling at 4 to 5 feet. So in respect to flying normally, the srick behaves like a normal stick, except it springs to the mid point if youlet go.
@@iancraig left stick on a helicopter controller does not spring to the center on most controllers that I have used. If you have ever flown an FPV drone, or an RC plane, the left sticks are all the same with no spring ( that is for mode 2 controllers).
Yes, I do fly a few helis. (And drones) My favourite fixed pitch is the old Honeybee. I saw a demo of the e130 where the guy was showing the left joystick in mode two on a spring mechanism. (Left hand side which would be the throttle) Maybe I’m confused! Because I saw it jumping back to 50%, I presumed that was the hover point or something. This guy shows that ‘spring back’ at 6’00” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-t5Ec4E4ZzCQ.html You mention the same thing at 2’00”. The left control springs back to centre. I want to use this one to teach my daughter to fly rather than the Honeybee because that one is more difficult, but I don’t want her to learn a throttle that stays dead centre! She’ll crash everything else....
H, I really want to know why does my motors spin at different rates like some motors spin really fast and some spin way slower, and when I arm it and add a little bit of throttle it spins really fast without me adding throttle, and it wont spin slower until I disarm it.
Helicopters motors do not spin like drone motors, they do not increase in speed when you move the throttle, all that changes is the PITCH of the blades. This model has two speeds as shown in the video.
Captain drone you always give me great information in fpv world so I can help you with the heli world thats where I started was with helicopters but there is a better beginner full ftr kit its just like the fpv drone kits it comes with 6 channel TX and has 3 flight mode 1st is 4ch just as this eachine 2nd mode you have the stability hovering and can start light 3d acro and 3rd mode full 6ch 3d flight kinda like the betafpv kits, geprc kit, emax tinyhawk freestyle 2 kit ect. They make a bunch of models if you like scale try the xk k124/ec145, or try xk k100 falcon and they are brushless great for indoor and outdoor i know you will love it trust me and if you like send me a message I know a lot of them and you would be able to probably get for free for review and it would be something that would be something you would stand behind and put ur stamp on because they are great quality i have yet to buy parts for except batteries because so durable
Nice flight Steve, I believe that anyone learning to fly a heli should always learn to fly manual first without altitude hold. I think that using a simulator will make it easier to fly just about any heli.
I have a helicopter that a few weeks ago I decided to fly it and when I landed it and I wanted to take off again, it died I guess. Doesn't even start now, and I don't know why. Granted, it has been sitting on the shelf for 5 years or more.
@@garyhoff2178 yeah, maybe it will fly after changing the battery but buying a new battery will cost more than the helicopter itself. It is a cheap one after all.
Does anyone have a good drone for sale for a surprisingly low price I'm trying to get one for his his new job his when he's out of school Forl land serving I promised to buy hin one for that but can't afford a good one any help would be a great blessing thsnkyou.
I’m finding that range anxiety is limiting my drone flights. Do you have any tips to planning drone flights to maximize the usage. Basically, I’m returning too soon and still have half the battery left. I’m just not used to the flight time of my DJI Mini 2.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hello. I suppose so, but it would have been great if you could have the option to disable the altitude hold once you become more confident. But please countinue reviewing helicopters under $150! Thank you. 👍🚁
I have the 130, it's rubbish. You can't fly straight and level for more than 8 or10 meters without it dropping its tail and stopping. You can see this in other reviews. The 129 is much better. Smaller but faster, more responsive and actually flys properly.
I think you might be alone in that thought and possibly a bit biased due to only having owned the E129. My review of the E129 is coming soon. The E130 is an outstanding deal considering the lift capability and included batteries that are actually RC hobby batteries.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I own both! Try flying the E130 fast in a straight line for more than 50 ft. Check RCGroup forums thread on it as well. I have video of it doing it right here on YT. I purchased mine about a month ago before attempting to fly collective pitch helicopters. Been RC flying for 15 yrs now but new to helicopters. Tenn Riverluver on YT. I also own the E160 crazy 3D heli. Awesome and way above my skill levels.
@@tennriverluver3534 I have not flown it 50 feet out (at least I don't believe so). With no wind it flies perfectly. I have the E129 and I have to say, the batteries and build do not appear to be as good as the E130 (at least in my opinion), but they do the same thing, which is fly really great with very little wind and are perfect for beginners, or for people who need to brush up on their heli skills before attempting collective pitch. Review of the E129 is coming soon.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 The good part is I bought JST to XT30 adapters and use the batteries with my E160. Same battery except connector. !30 had a lot of promise and I hoped mine would not have the well reported issue but it does. Pretty much unflyable unless you do continual circles.
Yes.... check the ABOUT section on my RU-vid channel. Hundreds email me daily and I have very little time to respond, so please keep your email short and sweet.
