@@meg-k-waldren either would be fine I think. The regular should still fit you, many have said they are over 6 ft and it's still comfortable. That was just a rough estimate I made for people to consider the larger xl version
I’m 6’, 330lbs. Lately due to an accident with sheet metal and my forearm, I needed a recliner to sleep in vs a bed. I picked up an Oslo XL and it was white gloved delivered and setup in my home office on CyberMonday. Since then, every night I sleep in it fully reclined. It is exceptionally comfortable and I wake up refreshed and without any soreness. I also lay in it fully reclined with the powered headrest all the way up so I can watch the media center. I did but the tray and the tablet holder. Tablet holder is A-. It needs some ability to further loosen or tighten the hinges on demand. Other than that, it’s great. The tray looks like carbon fiber but it’s a flat vinyl. It spins in its socket a little too easily. Also, if it were on an articulated arm, it would be even better. As it is, it gets the job done. I’m happy with the purchase and once the game room / media room is setup, I’ll probably buy more for that room.
I'd like to buy 4 seats - soon. I'm just flummoxed that I can't find a place to actually see and feel the seats. Really want to sit in them before buying
Thanks for the video! I’m 6’2” and I’m trying to figure out if I need the XL or if the standard would be fine. I’d like to save the money and space if the standard would fit me comfortably. Any thoughts?
The Tuscany would be more comfortable than the Oslo in the standard for sure. I don't think it would be bad... but having the extra head and foot space is nice. I don't know how many you planned on getting, but you could save a little space by making 2 seats a love seat configuration instead of having armrests between every seat. Like a 1/1/2 or 1/2/1 setup (if that makes sense) if you had 4 seats in a row. It's a little extra cost for the XL, but they'll last you for years...
Great , informative production on these 2 chairs. also reading all the comments / replies , really helped my decision making , Thank You (Y) P.S. I really hope that guy waiting 2 yrs finally got his chair and / or some compensation .
I wish they had an option for cable routing from the back to the storage unit and even to the cup holder; I don't like that the usb cable is straight out pointing into your LEG I have my chairs on order and I think I am just going to route a cable my own way. Also they are only .9amps for USB seriously NO
Great video! You got me thinking! Can you please do me a favor? Take a tape measure and measure the distance from the butt cushion to the the bottom of the headrest for both models and let me know what you come up with. The power headrest is super important to me, and I have a long torso and I'm 5' 10.5" tall and I'm torn on which model seat to go with. Thanks!
I don't like where they put the usb, the idea of lights under the chair is so its on when in dark, bad design if you have to turn off when reclining. Plus the tables are to slick, slippery.
i feel like both are to short for tall guys like us. 70.5 and 72 inches is to short. i have not sit in any of these but i have sit in ashleys furniture ones and most of them feel to firm and to short to me. the backtrack by ashleys is not as firm but not as comfy as other furniture. so how do these compare to ashleys backtrack as far as comfort? it seems someone could start a big and tall furniture company because there just isnt much furniture for tall guys and ive been to alot of furniture stores.
Just to make sure I don't do the wrong thing... I'm 5'10 180 (athletic so ~20% body fat). The regular chairs are probably perfect for my size, but I'm thinking about getting the XL because I like big chairs. My only concern is the head positioning. Do you think the Oslo XL would be ok? Have you had anyone my height sit in them?
My wife is just under 6 ft. She still prefers the Tuscany XL. The Tuscany feels like a bigger chair to me. The Oslo is very comfortable if you plan on just reclining the feet up without going back too far. Once you start going back further and seat engaging that headrest, not so much. For us anyways. But the Oslo is amazing for me when not fully reclined. Maybe think about that too, do you prefer to sit upright with just feet up? Or leaned back fully reclined? I tend to lean all the way back...
@@LifeofBliss I'd say mostly mostly reclined, but somewhere in between. I have a reclining couch now and I rarely go all the way back. This is my gaming/ media center chair so I like to be somewhat upright with a little bit of support.
Hmm... you're kind of right on the middle of the height and seating position delema then 😅 you'll honestly be happy with whichever you go with I think. If you were taller, I'd say skip the Oslo, but I don't think you'll have an issue with it. Really comes down to which design you like better I think in your case 👍🏼
Btw, using my link if you decide to buy any Valencia seats helps me out and let's Valencia know these videos are helpful. Hope you enjoy the seats if you go with them 👍🏼
One more question..... they have a "heavy duty" option - $100 per chair. Takes the weight limit from 300 pounds to 400 pounds. My fats is 250. Family is all tiny. BUT - does the 'extra padding' make it feel better? Does it feel fine without the extra heavy padding? Thanks
I can't speak to making it feel better as I've only had the XL versions that I believe are the heavy duty ones already. I don't think you'll need to spring for that option for the regular chairs giving what you said above. Very few if any have had issues with the padding comfort that I've seen of the AVS forums. I'd say save the couple hundred.
Awesome video Kyle :) We hit Like, hopefully their lawyers have a sense of humor!! 😉 we really like the way the Oslo series looks. Great review as always!
You'd probably be more likely to do that in the regular version, not the XL. It will be close with the xl... I have a family member that is similar height and they are barely able to touch when sitting back all the way. Hard to say without you personally sitting in one... sorry man
Many report the lumbar being uncomfortable on the Tuscany XL due to being a bar and not a bladder. Even with it on the lowest setting, the bar in the back is still there. Do you have the same issue?
Valencia doesn't, but I honestly just bought this chair less than a month ago cause my big ass broke my last one 😅 It's very comfortable imo, and has adjustable lumbar support to boot. Heavy duty. Been happy with it so far. I sit for 10 hours a day working btw. amzn.to/3GyVqRA
Thanks for the great video! One question though, at the 2:18 mark your slide says the Tuscany XL Row Of 3 Width is 106.5”, but the Valencia website says 103.5”. Do you know which one is right? Asking because I’m planning my theater room floor layout now, and would like to buy these chairs, but 106.5” would be just a few inches too wide for the space. Thanks
I was going off of their website at the time. They continuously update models. Small changes all the time, I would call them to get an exact measurement with their current model
Is there anywhere on the Tuscany XL to install bass shakers? Also there is not one review out there from a regular consumer. What I mean is, someone who just bought the chair & reviewed it. In all these reviews, the seats were given for free from the company. Just wondering how come nobody is reviewing these that actually bought them with their own money. It’s tough to buy furniture and not test it out. Especially when I’m going to spend over $10,000. I need 8 chairs and not sure what to do. But I appreciate the review.
I have seen some n AVS Forum that have installed them, though I can't remember the details. Most consumers who buy items don't make videos and a lot of the time companies reach out to us for a review. You'll find more people doing a small write up online (again, on avs forum) than making a video about them. I can say that I've sat in several different seats from major furniture stores, biggest being Nebraska Furniture Store, and I find these the best value for the price when it comes to looks, materials, and features. Everyone's perceived comfort will be a bit different, but there have not been many complaints I've seen from people buying these seats (avs forum again). Hope that helps 👍🏼
My family and friends vary in size, but no one has said they are uncomfortable or too big feeling. I think it would be more noticeable if you were in a smaller chair with not enough room vs a larger chair than you might need
Some people say the lumbar on the XL version can be annoying or uncomfortable, even when not using it did you notice anything? Trying to determine if power lumbar should be added or not?
Personally, I didn't find the back too bad. I kept it on it's lowest setting, and it was comfortable. I just got the ultimate luxury edition Tuscany, and they feel even better. They should be the same as the current regular tuscany seats, just upgraded leather and a few other things. Not a structural change. Like there's either more padding or the lumbar mechanism has changed. They are constantly changing minor things to make them better per customer feedback, so I'm assuming this is something they addressed. If it's something you're concerned about, you might jump on AVS forums on the Valencia seating thread to see if there is someone local to you that would possibly let you demo the seats for them.
Anyone know - -- if you order from Valencia - can you pay for full assembly upon delivery? Yes I know it's easy - - -but I want to have it fully assembled
Yes, they have a white glove service that they will unbox and assemble for you. The link in the video description will get you to their site where it goes over that service 👍🏼
@@LifeofBliss I''ve been reading that some people have a problem with the lumbar. Even if you put the lumbar to the lowest setting - -can you still feel it pushing into your back? Thanks
The older versions had the lumbar support pretty firm even at the lowest setting. They've updated the design slightly over the years, the back support being one of those updates. I touched on that in my ultimate luxury edition video. They are much better now
Hmm... I have both obviously. But I do enjoy the love seat with the wife. Our kids or dog can be in there with us too. Really depends on if that's important to you or not, being able to have the space between seats.
Well I can only speak on the XL versions as that's the only ones I've sat in... but either are great. Oslos would feel better fully reclined for under 6 ft in my opinion though
@@LifeofBliss i am 5'9", but am _handsomely_ proportioned! considerably more so than you, even. whereas i can fit in the regular seats at 24", 26.5" seems excessive. im gonna call them tomorrow. breath held, fingers crossed. thanks for your time..... *go to bed!*
Thank you for the review. I have been debating these two seats for my home theater. Question how do your smaller family members like the XL seats? Does the headrest on the Tuscany XL support your significant other’s head?
Wife is just under 6 ft. Other family is closer to 5'8" or so. They are comfortable for all of them, head support does well. I think it's more of an issue if you're bigger/taller in a smaller seat than the other way around
How long did it take for them to ship it to you? Been waiting on my Tuscany XL since December 13, 2020. I’ve written several times and get a very apologetic email each time promising it to be delivered the next monthly. I understand shipping issues during a pandemic, but this is kinda ridiculous. I’d love to know first hand how amazing they are.... maybe by 2022
Hi Cagney! We apologize for the delayed shipment. Shoot me an email and I can look into the status for you. Here is my email: molly@valenciatheaterseating.com
@@cagneyreeves4658 Ummm, Did you finally receive or what ? , that is quite the length of time , I hope they gave you some sort of price reduction or something ? and was it amazing ?
Love the beginning of this video. Excellent. I would absolutely watch a sitcom starring Life of Bliss. A more muscular, more handsome, taller Kevin James.
Thanks bud. There's an opening on FOX for a weekly show at 7pm. I'll throw them my pitch, but I don't think you'll be seeing me on the screen anytime soon 🤣
I watched one of your videos for the first time last week, based on your video(plus talking to some sales ppl) I pulled the trigger and got the Valencia Tuscany 2 days ago in a single regular. And I absolutely Love it! it's super comfortable I'm only 5'9 but way better head rest support in my opinion then the Oslo (that was the deciding factor for me) I also have about 5/6 inches of space on each end ,super roomy for 155lbs,loving the tabel tray don't know how I used my 50's rocker swivel chair and tv tray for so long but this chair is worth every penny. I Picked it up straight from the warehouse in Brampton Ontario. BIG thanks to Paul (sales guy) Pam(sales manager) Hammit & Donald(warehouse ) and a Special thanks to you for your videos .
How tall are you? Im currently looking to buy and height is a hey factor for me but it the sane time In worried XL might be too broad for me. EDIT: 😂🤣😂 nevermind, I see you got to that by min 7:40. Much appreciated. I wish more people that review theater seating would do it like you.
Thank you 👍🏼 yea I'm 6'4", wife is just under 6 ft. She could do the regulars just fine. I would probably be ok in them, but the XLs are definitely comfortable for me
